Matchbox renovation Pipe Truck King Size No. K-10. Diecast model toy. Making missing pipes.

Pipe Truck in King Size version was produced by the Lesney factory in the years 1967 - 1975. The model was very complicated in terms of production. It contained movable plastic pipes that always got lost while playing. To display subtitles in your language at the bottom of the movie, please press C on the computer or the three dots on the mobile phone in the movie. Therefore, getting a model together with pipes is almost a miracle. Of course, my car did not have pipes, so I made copies of them from aluminum pipes, which I made like the original ones on a lathe. I regenerated steel rivets and a plastic spring. I also made new wheels that were missing from black dyed molding polyurethane. I also made a copy of the box as usual according to photos from the internet and worked out these photos graphically. I used 250g cardboard and thicker foil to make the whole thing stiffer. I'm a 61 y.o. Greek. And this brings back my memories as a kid.
First it was the cardboard box that went away.
Then some of the plastic pipes broke. I remember me connecting them all six of them in a row and hitting the table 🤣
Then one of the hinges carring the pipes broke. Aluminium is very fragile to the hands of a small devil like me 😈
Then some of the tires went missing. 🤷
I don't remember if I lost it somewhere in the garden's mud, or through it away.
You brought me back my memories as a child.

Great restoration. Biggest problem I had as a kid was trying not to lose the pipes as with the smaller Leyland AEC version and also the tyres. Also owned the Scammell recovery truck which was a great model and the Scammell Laing crane, one of the earliest diecast models I ever owned.
