Corgi restoration of Jaguar MK 10 No. 238. Toy, molded model. Adding a suitcase to the trunk.

The model and Jaguar MK10 was produced by Meetoy in the years 1962 - 1967. As usual, the model was very refined. It had an opening hood, trunk and crystal headlights. Jaguar Corgi was painted in various shades of blue, red and was silver metallic. My model was very rusty, especially on the roof. It lacked some crystal headlights, and its tires were different, and one was missing. The windshield was cracked. I fixed all these imperfections. I have cast the tires in black dyed molding polyurethane. I made the missing box and a suitcase for the trunk, which was included in this model. The Jaguar Mk X was my father's dream car. My mother once bought him the Corgi model for his birthday. He never owned a real Jaguar, Great restoration. The Corgi model came with two plastic suitcases. I like how you make a suitcase for the boot.

I really must get one of those molotow markers. Every silver or chrome paint I have ever used always looks dull and gets duller when handled long after it has dried. Beautiful restoration once again. I want to try to resore my Corgi Oldsmobile super 88. I started to make a box template in photoshop.

Taki rodzaj resora widziałem też pierwszy raz przy okazji sprężynuje maskę domykają za każdym razem Jeśli chodzi o siedzenia Oczywiście są wykonane w ten sam sposób co moje szyby Tylko niestety po bandzie i ten materiał jest bardzo słaby kurczy się ze względu na temperaturę i czas i traci swoje właściwości powinien być wykonany z dużo grubszego materiału. Nach dieser sehr guten Restaurierung kann man diesen Jaguar wieder zu Recht als Nobelkarosse bezeichnen.

Lovely restoration, there were 5 models in different colours, Burgundy, Lighter Red/pink, light blue, dark blue, silver, light green, dark green. They had two case, a suitcase and a smaller case and painted tail lights. 20 years ago I had them all mint and boxed. Probably my favourite of all the corgi models from the 1960’s. Anyway lovely job as always, and the box looks ACE.

There were at least 9 colours in the end. I have 8 some mint boxed some unboxed. Silver, peacock blue, steel blue, light blue, metalic blue, metalic green ,turquoise, cerise. Some dealers claim new colours for different batches of paint ! I met Marcel Van Cleemput Cheif Corgi designer in the 1960s and he told me all the Mk10 Jaguar colours were authentic and they came about because they needed to use up spare paint. The common colours are the light blue as here and the cerise . The others command a higher premium
