I'm 61 and in '79 I had a not really street legal RD350 that smoked pretty much every CB750 I came across stop light to stop light and the 1st 750 that did beat me was the VF 750 Interceptor. It doesn't mean I didn't like the CB750 and this is a very nice example. I actually wanted a CB400-4 in high school but, came across the deal on the RD and jumped on it.
just finished restoring a classic cafe racer with my dad, 1972 triumph daytona t100r, it was his dads (my grandpa) n they ripped on it together in the 70s, but it sat for 50 years, finally me and my dad have it fully restored with the classic red with white and gold stripes, refurbished as much og parts as possible and just need fuel lines and gas and my grandpa can ride it one last time at 79 n still rides
I had one when I graduated h.s., my graduation gift from my father actually, I really hated that bike, head gasket blew after first two-weeks, I fixed it but those four carbs were such a pain, I swore I’d never get another. But I finally caved-in and got a ‘02 FZ1 with four Mikunis, runs SO GOOD. CB750K was a nice bike though, good overall design, I just had a poor example of one.

Had 1 in the mid 80s. Bought it from a Highway Patrolman friend of my Dad. Full dress, running boards, cb radio, stereo, everything. Many years and many crashes later it was basically a BMW 1/4 fairing, straight bars and a Kerker 4 into 1! Best road bike I’ve ever owned!
Sweet bike dude!! Simple and uncomplicated. You didn’t weld, paste or flame it us like a lot. It’s more period correct than most. Simple is sometimes the best.
Older air cooled 2 valve bikes sound so cool with a header. Grew up in the 70s and 80s. Great bikes and all were different sounding depending on brands.
WOW! That's almost exactly like my bike I built 20 years ago. Same model CB750F1 lowered with shorter Hagon's in the rear, with a GSXR1100 USD fork. My bike was flat black with a yellow anodized upper fork, no lowear fairing, but an oil cooler, 888cc bore with WISECO pistons, whire wheels from a KTM supermotard. I later swapped the clip ons ack to a low wide handlear, and a more curvy tank from a Z1 that I welded in a flush racing cap on. It was dubbed "the Hot Rod Honda" around my area. This maks me want to build one again...
The problem with bullsh1tting on the internet is that there's always someone that knows more about these bikes/ whatever than you, your road going Honda/4 NEVER did 140, I'll bet my house on it....
I had a '74 & a '76. Great low end & midrange power but in those days I was craving high rpm horsepower so my interest switched to Kawasakis. Now that I'm old I prefer that lower rpm punch and reminisce about my old SOHC 750s.
CB750 is a crude motorcycle by today’s standards but I grew up riding on the back of my dads so it has a special place in my heart. The mechanical in-line 4 scream from these things makes you feel alive.
1973 my dad bought a brand new CB 750 and took me across country during my summer vacation. The bike never had any issues. I've tried to duplicate the adventure, but had problems every time. Once with a Triumph, and 2 times with a Harley, which both failed miserably.
I know this is your custom build, and you might be worried about copies, but I'd really appreciate a build list! I follow on tiktok and here, I really wanna get into bikes, and this cb750 is my inspiration! I'd really like to know what all it took to get the stock bike - to this beautiful thing!
At least $15,000 that’s what I’ve got into the parts on my build including the $2,000 cost of the bike. The 2 wheels alone, and fixed offset triple clamps from cognito moto and the m-unit with the wiring pack totals around the way of $3,500 alone. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
I'm old school. Shes perfect. I come from that group back in the sixties that were turning Brits into cafe-racers . Glad to see them coming back. I rode a Harley for a lot of years(I got old) I gave up when all the Harleys started to be customized out of a catalog.
Man I had a 78 cb750… I miss that thing. That was one of the coolest things I’ve ever owned. Same seat just not as clean. One of my first projects I did by myself.
You're right. It is a beautiful bike. The rider's gear fits the biker well. The helmet looks a bit like an astronaut helmet from a 50s Sci-Fi movie. I'm not a cafe racer guy, but i have to admit, it looks good.
I gotta do me an air cooled Honda 4 build... I've got a collection of Hondas, from a CBR250RR to a GL1500 Valkyrie and a few in between. But the CB750 is one I have to add and do something wild with.

Bajaha, brings me back to 71 & 72.
Very nice bike.

Honestly I did the same but I ended up buying a goldwing so even trade

it's got two wheels, so it's automatically beautiful to me. The aesthetics are a bonus.
Can't beat a classic Honda 750
That thing is sharp man, nice work
