Hello bro first thank you 😊 for these video , I have also acl ligament tear , Can you please tell what’s surgery done , It’s acl reconstruction internal brace with fibertaping or acl reconstruction with screw Am waiting for your reply please reply me 🙏🤗
Curious as to why so soon for surgery? I ruptured my ACL, mild tear of MCL, medial meniscus tear, PLC sprain, popliteus and soleus strains and I’m over 4 weeks out and just doing physical therapy to make sure surgery is really the correct choice. I know people commonly believe an ACL rupture means instantly needing surgery but there’s some new evidence showing spontaneous healing of ACLs as well as data that shows no difference in osteoarthritis in the future from those who get surgery and those who don’t. I was told surgery can actually speed up arthritis. I appreciate this video though. I’m trying to see pain levels of different people and those who get nerve blocks and those who don’t etc in case surgery ends up being my only option if I can’t get stability.
I tore my right ACL and waited three miserable years of constant knee sprains before getting ACL repair. So when this happened to my left knee got it right away and they only had one opening in three months and I was having a baby in four months so took the close slot.

Thanks for the videos, pretty helpful - getting my ACL done (quad) on monday. Bit nervous about post-op pain. Managed to bear trough tearing it quite well and been doing rehab sine day 1 for two months now and have full mobility pretty much and have had almost no pain during this process, so hopefully that helps.
Hey bro, i did quad too im 2 weeks post op. My biggest advice get a tens machine and make sure u do ur early healing. I did meniscus as well so my bending isnt good but make sure you get ur quad activated as early as you can
Pain apparently is very different for each person I had surgery on ACL right knee plus repaired a meniscus tear and the pain the first 48hours was at least 8or 9 out of ten for me but on day three it got so much better that i switched from one oxycodone every four hours to 1/2 +2 Aleves every 4hrs , currently on day 4. The very worse pain comes when the nerve blocker effect goes away in my case it happened about 17hrs after surgery. So words of encouragement, the pain will pass just get through the first 48hrs.

I had a local regional anaesthesia which gave me an opportunity to watch the whole process via screen. But I had POUR (Post Operation Urine Retention) so stay strong if you're just beginning this journey like me
Yes for a stitched meniscus. But if they shave away the meniscus debris instead of repairing it, you cna immediately weightbear. Good for short-term not so good for long term.

I did do PT for the first 6-months, then just started easing into activities slowly, always trying to be concious of my knee. But I feel like it takes 2 years before you start not having to think about it anymore.
Doing pretty good, still get some stiffness on the back of the hamstring occasionally. I’d say I’m 92%. Still have a little trouble touching my ankle to my butt. Other knee is a lot easier. But I’m sure it will get there.
@@Famvestor That's good to hear. Are you actively working out still or do you passively push your knees in your day to day? I'm going to my first post op in a few hours. Luckily I didn't have to get the graft.
I Hope you are feeling good now. I just had couple of questions. 1. Which type of anaesthesia was used for your ACL surgery? Was it injected in your spine or did they give you a general anaesthesia? 2. Did they used a Urinary Catheter as well in your operation?

However I have had some horrible pain spikes and it’s not constant it’s only if I tweak it. But it’s like a very sharp burning pain and I haven’t ever felt anything like it i was wondering if anyone else has had that pain and if you know what it is.
I just had my surgery yesterday. I’m laying in my recliner with my leg elevated. I tried to let me leg down and the pain was unbearable. Did you ever have the excruciating pain within the first 48 hours trying to move?
About to have an ACL reconstructive surgery like yours with the use of the hamstring. Thanks for the video it helps a lot. Im wondering how long it took for you to walk without crutches? As a very active person my self Im going to go crazy if i cant walk for over a week or 2

Oh man good luck, let me know how it goes, and I go to rehab today for the first time. It’s Day 3, I’ll be making more videos. I’m also planning to do a lot more acupuncture this time, since it’s supposed to help a lot with swelling.
@@Famvestor thanks bro. Can rehab exercises be done from the first day? Also what is the pain like? People keep saying it’s next level pain?! Keep us updated bro.
@@TopBoi93 yes my Doctor said From Day 1 to start. I was given Narcotics, but havent needed them, just been taking Tylenol every 5 hours.
@@Famvestor I appreciate it. Is the pain crazy though? Can u describe it to me?
@@TopBoi93 I would not say so. It’s like a very dull ache… but seems to get better every day. Icing definitely helps. I’ve been icing a large part of the day with the ice machine and taking a Tylenol every 5 hours.
I'm having full acl reconstruction and meniscus debridement October 27.
When you really get able to move freely and bear loads and go out after the surgery?
Hi can you tell me about total cost of surgery acl
Had my surgery at 2pm today. It's now 2am. Pain levels about a 3-4/10 but I have the lil machine attached that pumps meds every 30 minutes. Took only 1 Tylenol so far for the day, outside of the meds being pumped. Thanks for your video, very insightful. Best of luck to everyone else going through it! 1 day at a time 🦿
Yo get back stronger 🤲🏾🤲🏾🤲🏾🤲🏾❤️
Thanks! Best of luck on your recovery!
thank God for your recovery so long long those it takes you to move without clutches because I have my ACL surgery 5 months ago an I'm still working with clutches I'm afraid hope things get better for me
You should be off crutches by now. Have you done to PT?
@@Famvestor know the doctor say PT will be in January which is 4 months ahead making it 10 months he say that the new Acl need to be stronger before pt can take place
Bro your pain tolerance must be crazy. I just had mine and I’m having the hardest time laying down and sleeping. It’s like constant pressure on my knee
My 16yo I'd a terrible patient but not able keep his left straight and not icing as much as he should
Just had my ACL surgery on the 31st and I’ll definitely say the hardest thing for is getting over the tightness of my knee and the stiffness. My doctor used the internal brace technique for mine because my ACL tore from the top of the femur. The pain was bad for one day but overall the whole experience is not as bad as I imagined it, but it’s definitely enough to make me retire 😂😂
Best of luck on your recovery
Sir please let me know if you have post the video on exercises after acl and miniscus knee operation..
Yes checked my other videos I have lots of exercises.
I have my ACL surgery coming Tuesday 23rd
Hey man I saw your videos for your right ACL tear, I’m sorry it happened to you again on your left leg, I hope ur doing better!
Yea doing better bloating volleyball. Went skiing this winter. Ran a half marathon.
You’re a pro! Great videos man give us hope
Lol yea unfortunately I am pro, thanks for the comment. Check out my other vids about my updates.

Just had my acl and meniscus surgery 2 days ago. I was very nervous going in. I wanna let anyone know that’s has to go through this as well that ur gonna get through it. The pain is a 3/10, I haven’t taken anything but Tylenol. Worst part is not being able to move around and live ur normal life
Hope recover is going well!
how are you now
I just done my ACL surgery but I don't feel that much pain at all,I sleep in peace first time but I thought I was gonna feel so much pain but I'm so strong and feeling great❤I feel way better now it's only been day 2 and some shocking on my knee but I feel good
Awesome to hear, good luck on recovery!
Your videos are amazing. hope you are still doing well bro. May I ask where did you get this ROM brace? What brand/model it is and whether its available on amazon
Thanks!
Idk my doctors gave it to me… I think it’s donjoy immobolizer brace.
I had my ACL surgery just now how do you poop? I am finding it hard to think
Hey there bro. Just had ACL reconstruction this morning. Thanks so much for your videos. Really helped me mentally prepare. So far have not needed anything other than tylenol, but small, accidental movements really hurt lol. Cold therapy really helps with pain management also.
Hey glad to hear only tylenol has been working for you, yes Ice is key to stay off the meds. Hope recovery is continuing to go well for yoU!
@@Famvestor thanks man! mobility is coming back day by day, and i am finally able to sleep pretty comfortably. Things are looking up!
Heyy Madhav hope you're doing well. How are you now??
@@UCSAnkitGirase hi! i am much better now. Able to walk again and do single leg presses in the gym. I still have some tightness and swelling in my leg, but PT has really helped.
I did the same thing in volleyball I jumped up at the net for a spike got the point but I landed on my left and my knee immediately folded and was in pain
Hello bro first thank you 😊 for these video ,
I have also acl ligament tear ,
Can you please tell what’s surgery done ,
It’s acl reconstruction internal brace with fibertaping or acl reconstruction with screw
Am waiting for your reply please reply me 🙏🤗
I did a hamstring graft.
Where did you go for your surgery and who did it?
Thanks for sharing your video. How did you make a choice which tendon to use between, patella, hamstring and quad.
Just my doctor’s recommendation for my level of activity and age.
@@Famvestor oh man 😩 that’s my biggest fear is dislocating again. I am still using at least one crutch and wearing my brace when I’m out and about. I totally get it with bad timing. I just had my second baby 5 almost 6 months ago. We have an almost 3 year old and an almost 6 month old and my hubs is the money maker for us so I stay home. It’s been tough. Im breastfeeding also so I don’t want to have to worry about the anesthesia and pain meds and stuff in my milk. Im super scared to have surgery though. I’m afraid of the pain after and the lengthy recovery. We don’t have the help we need at all 😅
Bro how are you walking stairs day after you have to let it heal
I cant believe you were putting weight on it that quickly. I just got my surgery yesterday. Should I be walking on it like that?
Just got complete acl surgery and stitches in my meniscus on Friday. Worst pain I’ve ever had
Aw man good luck hope everything is doing much better now.
@@Famvestor day 8 and it only hurts when I get up and walk with the crutches already putting weight on it while walking hopefully walking without crutches in 1-2 weeks
@@devonm4980 how did it go? In 12 days i have an important thing to attend to, it’s been 5 days , will I be able to walk and go do that stuff ? (With braces of course) (i have to do a school test)
Going to have my left ACL and interior meniscus (the one towards the body) surgery in october after a ski accident 3 months ago
Happened to me just like it did to you, no warmup, just straight to the point and bam, after 10-15 mins of skiing it happened after a very bad turn I had to do
For now I am doing physical therapies, doc said that it's better to do that for about half a year to get both legs strong enough so after the surgery I'll be able to recover much faster
Thanks the videos
Good luck!
@@Famvestor We kinda decided to delay it in order to try rehab it, for now it's ok, but meniscus still causes pain when I fold or extend my knee, having another doctor appointment in a month, then we'll decide what we'll do, surgery or try to continue the rehab
What is the ice machine called that you paid $50?
1 week after surgery rn. Idk how to sleep properly or do anything.
Gona watch ur videos to relate and get some useful advice. Been laying so long to elevate, when is it safe to sit at my pc or some shi without worrying
It’s rough I. The beginning. Should be better now right?
@@Famvestor hey. Yeah it’s a lot better now pain wise. I’m 3 weeks out now and my doctor finally let me go to the gym on crutches. I’m still non weight bearing til week6 though.
Did you tear both your ACL’s? I think I saw your other videos but I’m not sure. That’s so scary and I can’t even imagine that happening again, how did it happen?
I'm gonna have my ACL reconstruction surgery tomorrow. Saw your video today and it was really inspiring. May I know what kind of graft was used in your ACL surgery.
Hamstring graft. Good luck!
@@Famvestor Thanks for the update boss.
i) After a year of surgery, how are you now ?
ii) Is the hamstring graft strong enough when compared to patellar bone tendon ?
iii) Can you able to do all the normal works ( like sports, driving, running, cycling and heavy lifting ) as used to before the injury?
I think these questions will help us all. Thanks in advance buddy.
Just got my acl and meniscus repair surgery yesterday omg today is rough.
Yea man every day gets better though. Just make it through to day 10 and sleep gets so much better.
Aww ok thank you
My son just got his acl and meniscus fixed yesterday(monday). It has been rough. I am worried about getting him to pt on Thursday. Wondering your opinion on ice
Hope you quickly gonna well
But I have also my acl injury and next month I go to my surgery and I am so worried 😟 😨
Good luck! I am 12 months out now and just finished a Olympic triathlon
Heyy Muhammad bro how are you now ?
So sorry bro I got diagnosed with Erlos Danals disease and I tore my acl and meniscus and mcl all at one on my left knee which I tore 3 yrs ago
Sorry to hear that... sounds rough.
Getting ACL surgery in a few hours😭 thanks for these videos
Good luck hopefully everything went well!

Good luck!
@@Famvestor Thanks!
Hey bro, i did quad too im 2 weeks post op. My biggest advice get a tens machine and make sure u do ur early healing. I did meniscus as well so my bending isnt good but make sure you get ur quad activated as early as you can
Thanks for the comment, I actually just ordered a tens/ems machine. When did you start using it pre-op? @@arhamnaseer1445
im at day 3 post op and its so difficult to straighten my knee
Yea but better now than later.
Was that icemachine any good? Considering it myself
Sorry to hear that. Hope it’s betting better
What does the pain feel like? Is it a burning sharp or sore pain?
@@ajisai3160it depends if it’s only your acl the pain is more sore but I tore my meniscus and acl so I felt sore and felt the burning after the soreness went away.
May I know what kind of ACL reconstruction did you get? Was it tibialis anterior allograft?
I just had the bear implant surgery 5 days ago for my acl and meniscus can you guys help me on what I should be doing 😢I want to go back to normal I’m over whelmed I hate this
One would think it's all cool after the surgery but The journey begins after the surgery. I had mine just 3days ago, only got home today after spending 3days in the hospital. I had a local regional anaesthesia which gave me an opportunity to watch the whole process via screen. But I had POUR (Post Operation Urine Retention) so stay strong if you're just beginning this journey like me
Isn’t it supposed to be less to no weight bearing on the repaired meniscus until it heals ?
Yes for a stitched meniscus. But if they shave away the meniscus debris instead of repairing it, you cna immediately weightbear. Good for short-term not so good for long term.

Thanks for your videos they are really helpful so I just the sam surgery and would like to know what's the name of the app to schedule the machine?
I think the app just depends on what smart plug you use. I used an app called VeSync though.
Hey guys! I'm getting acl surgery tomorrow. I'm so scared. Any tips or any advice ! Please help a girl out

I tore my acl, having surgery in a month, I’m pretty scared. I’m 19 and this is my first major injury and i like playing a lot of sports. How is your recovery going?
How long till you was back to driving ?
Only a few days... since I didn't take pain killers and it was my left knee.
So sorry. My son is 17 and going for ACL surgery in two weeks along with a meniscus tear repair.
Which surgery bioscrew or fibertape
Hamstring graft
Just got may acl surgery 3 weeks ago, luckily i didnt experience too much pain post surgery, i didnt even have to take may meds for pain.i only have a brace and no crutches and i just walk. I dont like using crutches anyway 😁 but rehab... Oh its painful
Hey, if u got Meniscus repair arent u supposed to not use ur feet? My doctor told not to use my feet for 3 weeks 😭😭😭
By using i mean u shouldn’t take a step with your meniscus feet
Im 17 and day after surgery 😭 my doc said i cant stand for 2weeks and pretty nothing about workouts. Im stressed af watching these videos to gain knowledge but every one has diffrent strategies. Dont know what to do
i’m going through something similar i went into surgey for my fracture foot severe and it’s not post 4 weeks and i’m still not able to put any weight so i can’t walk it’s hell taking showers, going places etc.
Sorry to hear that, Good luck on your recovery!
I did do PT for the first 6-months, then just started easing into activities slowly, always trying to be concious of my knee. But I feel like it takes 2 years before you start not having to think about it anymore.
Almost 2 years later now, how are you doing with the knees?
No catheter and pretty sure general anesthesia they pumped in from my arm.
I got surgery on my acl almost a week ago and it took them three months to get me surgery. I have been having very little pain as of now I’ve been walking on it everywhere for the last 3 days.
Yea lot of little punches and surges of pain when moving it in the first few days.
Could you please tell is it bio screw or fiber tape?
Idk hamstring reconstruction.
About to have an ACL reconstructive surgery like yours with the use of the hamstring. Thanks for the video it helps a lot. Im wondering how long it took for you to walk without crutches? As a very active person my self Im going to go crazy if i cant walk for over a week or 2
I am forgetting but I have week 2 and 4 videos.
I'm going to have acl and meniscus surgery on 8/12/2022 so ur suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Hope your well
Hey good luck yea just watch my videos for both my knees. All the info in there.
My ACL Reconstruction was yesterday and the pain I’m feeling right now is insane. The Oxy is not helping at all and it just makes me drowsy. So I’m supplementing with ibuprofen. Idk how I’m going to do PT the day after tomorrow, but hey…I know this is for the best.
Have you been icing and elevating?
@@Famvestor yes. I’ve been icing every hour for 20 mins and elevating all day.

Is it All inside Acl surgery or Bioscrew Acl surgery?
