      @@Daniel-ds1lo You will be nervous at the hospital but it will go by fast. Pain depends on the types of painkillers you’re given. If your tolerance to pain is high you will ride the wave with some discomfort. If your tolerance is low then it will kill you. Just be strong.

    Got my second ACL surgery done yesterday. Seeing the comments I realize how different everyone’s experiences are. I don’t have much pain as of now and I am doing some light stretching. Will see how the next few days go. A few things that definitely help-
    Elevating, icing, and compression literally 24/7.
    If you’re taking pain meds, take stool softener.

    Hello, thanks for sharing your journey! I had ACL surgery done about two weeks ago and once the anesthesia wore off the pain was soo intense. I was trying not to take the oxycodone pain medicine but at the end I felt like I had no choice and finished all the bottle the doctor prescribed. It certainly has been an emotional journey and makes you realize we need to be more grateful for the small things like going to the bathroom or even cleaning or washing dishes. I start therapy tomorrow and I pray is not as painful. God bless

After my surgery i just used my crutches to go to the restroom and as it concerns how much weight u put on it u should speak with ur doctor/PE.

    Famvestor, I really want to express my utmost gratitude to you. Back in September I tore my ACL and I’ve been out of work since, as a bartender it was impossible to work, and I finally got my insurance to approve surgery this past Monday. I watched all of your videos in preparation for the surgery, and I can’t express to you how much you helped me. I bought the Ossur therapy machine and I truly believe that alone was a game changer. Moreover than any product, your determination wore off on me and 3 hours post-op I was immediately onto my exercises and have stayed consistent with that. Your ability to not only do all of that without pain meds, but to have the desire to help others and record the process is out of this world. I’m so thankful for you and your wife for these videos and I wish nothing but bountiful godly blessings for you & your family. I saw the whole operation live on a screen as anesthesia was spinal. The most you will feel the pain is when the stitches are taken off and the knee feels stiff when you try to walk. Close to zero pain. Only pain was when I pushed myself too hard one day 1 week in and the swell grew a bit. Otherwise A-OK. And my anasthesia was spinal. So I was always able to walk before surgery, after a few weeks of my body healing itself and swelling going down I could even run on it no problem, but the problem was before the surgery I kept tweaking it and it would swell up. I didn't get surgery for like 3 years, and in that time I probably tweaked my knee every other month.
      I needed crutches after surgery for like the first few days. I think I started running like after 3 months. But I didnt start actively playing sports again till like 15 months.

    I need a meniscus removal (bucket handle tear) ACL reconstruction and some more tissue put either side of my knee ( can't remember what its called) I have 3 children and I'm so scared. I'm hoping for no pain but I can't see it! I hope you had a great recovery.

      Oh man yea I really wanted to get it done quick before my fourth one came. Didn’t want my wife having to take care of me as well. It’s not fun, but you should be able to get things done albeit a lot slower after 10-days or so.

    A excellent video on surgery on your knees when you're about to leave the hospital and go home just amazing how it works out some people have pain for weeks and months and some don't everybody's different I would say at least for 4 weeks it all depends on how you take care and listen to the doctor it's no picnic but when that arthritis or your pain is in your knees you have to do something you can't live this way you could get injections and other treatments and painkillers it works for a while but then after that it doesn't do anything anymore so good luck and take care I get this video five stars

    I’m sure I have an acl and possibly mcl tear. It’s been 10 years several MRIs and keyhole surgery and they just tell me it’s arthritis. How difficult is this to detect?
    Right now I feel the torn acl has flipped and moved into and uncomfortable position and is once again prohibiting my knee from straightening. It makes me feel sick, I think my leg is spamming a bit. I need to get what ever it is to flip back to the comfortable state. Could be weeks or months till I get it to flip back.

      @@pacolugo3846 Almost 40 days post surgery and I'm doing pretty good. I had an appointment with my surgeon to have my leg examined and discuss what's next. My physiotherapy is progressing well, but my leg still needs a bit of work. My surgeon said I need to gradually phase the crutches out of usage, as one month with them is more than enough. I have now started to walk without them, albeit slow steps to get used to walking normally again. I have another appointment with my surgeon in June. It was painful in the beginning, but you get used to things in about a week or so.

    Had my acl surgery 2 days ago. Pain levels are still high.. how much time will it take for this pain to become normal so that i can sleep properly.
    And staple stitches wont have any trouble with physio exercises right ?

    Which graft did you go for? Hamstring or patellar? I'm supposed to go through the same surgery and I'm confused if which one is better for lifelong results. Hope you're doing well

    • @Famvestor
      @Famvestor  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I went with hamstring because doctor recommended. He said patellar was more painful and for people who would be putting a lot of load on the knee, football players etc.
