That shop is gorgeous. Don't think mine will ever look quite that pretty. Not that I don't appreciate keeping everything clean.

I have yet to see a shop manual, hear a paper rustle, see a torque spec paper, etc. He just puts the engine together, piece by piece! For me, the job/career of a lifetime!

Are you in truth a 50 year old man? And you simply look young?
I have to admit I was completely lost after the first five minutes of your disassembly process. I watched all your process thu to finalization of reassembly.
You Sir are a Master Mechanic...my admiration is yours.😃

I really enjoyed your video and the care you demonstrated in rebuilding this engine. I also marveled at the cleanliness of your shop!
It’s amazing how many pieces go into an engine! I don’t believe that many people comprehend what it takes to put together an engine and just how reliable they are for hundreds of thousands of kilometers!
My dad was a tool and die machinist and he was extremely accurate with his work. But he was often made to go faster than he felt was necessary. I remember him quitting jobs because of this very thing. He finally found a company that desired his accuracy and didn’t mind how much time he spent on the work. The company was manufacturing cylinders for gases and they had to be accurate!
Thanks again for a very interesting video!

Being an old VW guy, I can remember when I saw the first Subaru engine, in about 1970. There come a long way since then . Back then , they were a water cooled VW. They are a highly advanced engine on par with Porsche, Ferrari, and aircraft engines. Superb.

I really appreciate you making the videos in English. Gives them a global appeal and a broad audience. It seems to upset some of your natives, so, maybe you could add German sub-titles? Yeah, it would be even more work for you. I'm going to go look at all the videos you made and hope to find some more to help me with my STI.

I have had a Subaru forester 1997 (automatic) from new, that has been great for all the years with very little to do other than annual services. However, recently I have had a lot of vibration & shuddering on the wheels when making tight turns (left or right). It is difficult to identify which wheels the noise or shudder comes from and I don't feel much through the steering wheel. I have had all difs replace that has reduced the frequency but not always. We hope it isn't the automatic gear box but has anyone got any ideas what to do next.
