    Hey, so that's the 3rd video I go for a hunt for your Etsy shop link... can't find it in the video description... Put it first thing in all your video description!

    In terms of profit, how much do you earn after you take away productions costs/esty fees and such vs how much time do you put into it? I have a large format resin printer and a fdm printer which ive been using for hobby printing but am interested in earning some money as a side hustle whilst also doing a 40hr per week job which is mostly work from home.

      After fees and expenses it's about 80% profit on average

    Just starting out and got my first printer, I do have several years of cad experience with cnc’s. I really dig your content and your setup. That being said I still have trouble getting answers when I’m having problems with slicing. Would like to do a call and pick your brain if that’s possible. Like I said I’m new but not a stranger to 3d.

    Hey Glenn, can you help me with this? I want to sell finished printed items that I have designed. I do have the marketing skills and have an online presence. I don't have time to run a print farm, I need to keep control of the STL the only way I can see this happening is if I get a 3rd party to print and post each order to the customer for me. Does anyone know if such a service exists and is it worthwhile? I know of shapeways, Craft cloud, cults 3d, my mini factory & ch trader but don't know how they operate. I appreciate all feedback and comments. Thanks

      Hey Glen! Thanks for commenting! I know service is like this exist however I've never used them, In fact I would rather be the service if I ever got into that then to be seeking them out, since I print more than I design. The problem is they're going to have your STL, You would have to try to patent it which shouldn't be too hard but it cost money, and without a proven selling model it might be worthless to do so if let's say it never sells. The tick tock shop might be great for selling your item if you want to put in the time for marketing

      Yep I hear ya Glenn, I am going around in circles with this. The only way I can see my item selling is through outsourcing but this is fraught with danger through loss in potential profit margins and as you mentioned loss of control of the STL. As a kiker I live in the most isolated city in the world where postage costs a fortune.
      Thanks for input Glenn, appreciated mate.

    Glenn, i want to make a U TUBE video on my channel that thoroughly explains and demonstrates my products that i will sell in my ETSY SHOP..... but i notice that all of the 3D printing channels such as yours do not ever show their ETSY SHOPS... is their a reason for this ? is it a security concern... will i be making a mistake if i advertise the etsy shop on a U TUBE video channel.?

    • @glennbrian3d
      @glennbrian3d  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I used to have it on here but so many people going to My Etsy shop and not purchasing anything really kills my statistics loo

    • @gladiatormechs5574
      @gladiatormechs5574 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@glennbrian3d Thank you, but is that the only real drawback.. STATS... how about the advertisements, Doesnt that beat these STATISTICS... How about an explanation about your product and how it could be used.. Wouldnt that be again more helpfull then a STATISTIC rating...

    • @glennbrian3d
      @glennbrian3d  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gladiatormechs5574 if your stats go down you won't sell as much because etsy won't show it

      @@glennbrian3d Thank you.. then what i will do is have a link from my ETSY SHOP to my U TUBE CHANNEL in that order and not the other way around.. This way i can demonstrate my products after they have legitimatley found my ETSY SHOP.
