Regarding fire suppression, you can buy these fire extinguisher balls that you mount close to (preferably above) things that could catch fire. Should fire break out, it triggers a small explosive charge which dumps extinguishing chemical powder over the fire, putting it out in most cases. They'll only run you $20 or so each and last for five years before needing replacement.

I know exactly how you feel making everything an exact instance. I'm sure it's a diagnosable condition but it provides me some type of solace or satisfaction to have things a consistent way.
The concept makes reaching the economy of scale easier because a lot of thinking is eliminated.
I enjoy running printers but am not sure if I can sell. I am self employed but I sell a service. Retail or wholesale is a new concept.
How do you figure out what people want? How do you test the market without wasting time and money. And how do you deal with all of the people claiming you stole their idea and are profiting from their work even though it's easy to design simple parts and simple things look similar.
People get jealous easily and hassle me a lot when I have attempted to sell some parts I modeled myself.

@@glennbrian3d Thank you for responding. I used to use wyze cameras since they could mount magnetically or with tripod threading. Decent for monitoring and "ok-ish", for time lapses but it was an inexpensive solution if they had memory cards in them.
Also do you have smart plugs on each printer to cut power remotely?
I have been printing for a little over a year and am trying to build out something similar to what you are doing.
So far I had ender 3: retired
      mk3s+: retired
      Ankermake m5(still in box)
      and bambulab X1CC
I am trying to reduce "touch time" with the printers/slicers with bells and whistles like remote monitoring and sending code to the printer. This is the first video I have seen of yours so I apologize if you have answered some of these in other videos. Again thank you for responding and making this video.

Speaking of saving milliseconds... I use 25 mm magnets as tool holders. Get close and the tool docks itself. Grab the tool and pull and there's no fiddly alignment trying to get needle nose pliers into a hole in the leg of the rack when it's pressed into use as an improvised tool holder. 3D printing custom tool holders is nice but magnets as tool holders are the fastest and easiest.

I know you have your calculator for estimating profit margins, but how much do you set aside of that for taxes?

FOr those in future, to replicate this, you would now be better off buying the bambulabs X1C with the AMS kit. For anything large, you'd go a different route but these are going to be even better than the printers in this farm now. I'm sure these were purchased before the X1C was out.

@@smokeycheddar8842 I think you misunderstand. I'm talking from the stand point if someone wants to do what this man has done NOW, that they would be better off getting the x1c's. I have two of them and it's clear among the space that they are the most reliable and put out the best work by far. (The only single issue i know is the slicer needs 1 part of the other slicers to make their top surface better but it's still not anywhere near enough of a problem not to buy it over everything else).
Because they're in the same price range, that would be the best option now and I made my comment to suggest it for anyone that may find it helpful..

@@glennbrian3d I agree with you. Speed is important, however in the 3d printing world increasing capacity by adding 1 more machine is so easy. I do more "one off industrial stuff" as my main printing source of income.

You are 1000% correct. 1 X1C easily replaces 3-4 mk3s and with an AMS you increase productivity greatly even in you only use 1 color. (4 x 1KG rolls with auto switch over if filament runs out)
Advantages include enclosure, larger build volume, core XY, remote monitoring and control, fast, capable of printing more types of materials and so much more.
Also the price is comparable and you can be printing in under 20 min after unboxing.
