Oh cool bananas. This is the 667th comment. Anyhoo I fitted the STi flexible strut tower brace to my VB WRX & the nuts 🔩 on my shock tower were as tight as buggery. That’s an Aussie expression & has nothing to do with the dictionary buggery. It just means “a lot” here in the land downunder rather than the activity best left in the bedroom. 😳
Well, I never realize I’ll tall you are I’m 5 foot four. I’m fat and old. It’s 64. I’d have to run around either side to put it to take them off and put them on you just lean over to the top.

I need like a list of upgrades please...recently went in to change Torque Converter seal and engine seal and discovered a piece of broken piston skirt... so now my FA20 DIT engine is out so I am looking to put in place things for future upgrade to about 350 -400 bhp any suggestions to start with....everything is stock.

I have a 2015 forester myself and would like to keep it for awhile so I am appreciating seeing the maintenance and upkeep type videos. I love my forester and hope that I can maintain it, especially as a car to take the dogs around in. :) Do you think it matters about getting a subaru made in USA (outback) versus one made in Japan (Forester)? I am thinking about getting a wilderness and debating between the outback and the forester. my main reasons for outback our ground clearance and turbo, and forester would be made in japan, cabin dimensions, and more basic controls like AC knobs... what do you think?
My 2016 Forrester XT is tuned to 260hp / 328tq to wheels, sleeper 0-60 5sec, flat...I talk to a transmission place in NJ, LEVEL10 TRANSMISSIONS, They build cvt's for 500hp, & there cheeper than factory, they recomend changing fluid at 30k, and adding trans cooler to preserve factory trans... Also mods 3" exhaust with free breathing cat and mufflers Invitia N 300's & cold air intake, (it runs like a scalded dog)...can't say how fast it goes either...Florida cops are hard on speeding lol... I call my Forrester (FESTER)
Like your vids. Just watched you change the starter. Had to laugh when you were going through all the fault codes. I had several Corvettes , c1, c3 67 Chevelle SS and 70 Chevelle SS, 575hp on the 70. And what electronics did I need for them. A dwell meter and a timing light.

If you're going to commercialize yourself that's cool and when the comments are more about your looks and not your skills we all know that is par of your deal OK? So when I say you ain't Farmgirl, you ain't no farmgirl. And don't say you don't know who that is, that would be BS. Now, I enjoy your tech savvy and installation mechanic skills. I own a Forester and am very pleased with it to date. I find I don't need to modify it and don't want to spend the money on something that ain't broke. The last car I modified was a street rod, and I also built race cars, drag cars both door slammers and rails. So I love neat cars of all types. I also have to say it does Americans no good to buy inferior American products. And most of what America produces in the category of SUV is just not at the same level as the Subaru. And Subaru is entirely made in Japan I think. I'm not waving the flag for either country, it just is what it is. There are alternatives with everything. And Oh yeah, I lived in AZ for many many years, so I know it's hot. But it's a dry heat yuk yuk. No but really keep up the good work!

Like your Forester Gump videos. I just picked up a 2016 SF Touring 2.5 i mines a grandma car compare to yours. But love watching all the mods you are doing to yours. Head unit you have what one is it? I want to replace my struts for on and off road. and I have 18 inch wheels stock I might consider replacing with 17's but with higher side walls for off road. Your are so fun to watch working on your cars.. Keep up the good work and love your personality you put into videos.

I think the 2015 legacy with 6 cyl engine has the same CVT as the WRX, I think. But they're not great as I had to have mine replaced at 62,000 miles, covered under warranty at least.

The car is not flexing, so you have better feel from the road and with out flex you feel more shore of your steering input. Does that explain the way you feel a little better? Just trying to put what you should be feeling into words. Peace 😊

Sarah, what does a strut tower bar do? Does it just make the front suspension more ridged? Iv'e been searching for a 2010 Forester XT Limited in silver but may have to go with the pearl white. I live in the High Desert here in Hermiston Oregon and need a light colored vehicle here because of the sun. Just went to the ultraracing-usa site to find the stabilizers as I have a 2018 2.5 Forester. I only see these listed for the WRX STI. So do these fit all '14-'18 Foresters too?
Where do you find complete torque specs list for Forester? I have 2018 XT and having hard time finding the complete list. Just added front strut brace and will do the rear one some time soon.
wrong and wrong, but its a good kinda wrong lol... sti 6spd bell housing doesnt work (womp womp) but wrx 6speed will and you can get one cheap on auction on CoPart.com. its surprising the amount of 15+ subies on there lol
Just a low tech tip you may use or not. I've found cutting plastic like that, a flat cutting tip on a soldering gun works really well. An electric knife also speeds up the process and is less likely to slip. Your Dremel could work as well but I will humbly defer to your expertise as you know way more about car stuff than I ever will.

Looking on the site to purchase these and I don't see a forester section for the bars. I have a 14' xt. From the appearance it does seem that the 12'-16' sti part would work. Is that what was sent to you?
Next time you want to change something fast.....Hold the nuts in your hand. ( No in your window meant) Putting the nuts down is extra steps. You can do this....
All Foresters come with a high Center of balance warning so please keep those wheels on the road. Easy add on. Your seemingly innocent comments do kinda come across as ......well you know. I have no problem seeing you adding stuff on to your vehicles. Its great to think I taught my daughters to work on their own vehicles. I know they can change oil, tires, brake jobs, starters and other such things. My youngest was my hunting buddy for years. I dont care what anyone says, a woman should know enough about their car not to get taken advantage of by a mechanic and if possible, fix it themselves. Glad to see you can handle a wrench.

Always wanted the WRX, but we already have a sedan and my lady really wanted an suv. Have to say the XT was the perfect compromise. Would very much appreciate more Forrester content. At the moment, I guess I’m really interested in upgrading headlights/fog lights/tail.... let’s just say all lights. I own a 2016 Forester 2.5i. I found your channel while looking for mods that people have done to them. I LOVE your channel and really would love to see more Subie content. What I'd really like to know is if the XT front clip would fit my 2.5i. I really like the way it looks (especially with the new running lights). If I could swap mine out for one from an XT, I would for sure. Keep up all the great work you are doing (binge watched Teeter Tot and Mr. Dos), and am looking forward to more. BTW: Little Sarah is adorable. You should feature her more if she is up to it.
At first I was totally against any more mods to Forester Gump. But these mods are very reasonable. I have a 2017 3.6 R Outback and all I've done is add a towing hitch from etrailer and a K & N air filter.

Just a low tech tip you may use or not. I've found cutting plastic like that, a flat cutting tip on a soldering gun works really well. An electric knife also speeds up the process and is less likely to slip. Your Dremel could work as well but I will humbly defer to your expertise as you know way more about car stuff than I ever will.

I have a 2018 FXT and love it. It's the last model year they will make a turbo forester. So sad. But keep up the content!

Looking on the site to purchase these and I don't see a forester section for the bars. I have a 14' xt. From the appearance it does seem that the 12'-16' sti part would work. Is that what was sent to you?

Next time you want to change something fast.....Hold the nuts in your hand. ( No in your window meant) Putting the nuts down is extra steps. You can do this....

All Foresters come with a high Center of balance warning so please keep those wheels on the road. Easy add on. Your seemingly innocent comments do kinda come across as ......well you know. I have no problem seeing you adding stuff on to your vehicles. Its great to think I taught my daughters to work on their own vehicles. I know they can change oil, tires, brake jobs, starters and other such things. My youngest was my hunting buddy for years. I dont care what anyone says, a woman should know enough about their car not to get taken advantage of by a mechanic and if possible, fix it themselves. Glad to see you can handle a wrench.

Always wanted the WRX, but we already have a sedan and my lady really wanted an suv. Have to say the XT was the perfect compromise. Would very much appreciate more Forrester content. At the moment, I guess I’m really interested in upgrading headlights/fog lights/tail.... let’s just say all lights. Any advice or recommendations on which brands perform/look the best would be greatly appreciated. Oh. And sorry ‘bout the new nails girl. 😢😕
I own a 2016 Forester 2.5i. I found your channel while looking for mods that people have done to them. I LOVE your channel and really would love to see more Subie content. What I'd really like to know is if the XT front clip would fit my 2.5i. I really like the way it looks (especially with the new running lights). If I could swap mine out for one from an XT, I would for sure. Keep up all the great work you are doing (binge watched Teeter Tot and Mr. Dos), and am looking forward to more.
BTW: Little Sarah is adorable. You should feature her more if she is up to it.

If I get a 2014+ Forester it'll be mod'ed with 2" lift kit with heavier duty coil springs and some bfgoodrich all terrain tires.
At first I was totally against any more mods to Forester Gump. But these mods are very reasonable. I have a 2017 3.6 R Outback and all I've done is add a towing hitch from etrailer and a K & N air filter.
