Victoria, I have to tell you how much you have helped me. I have been watching your videos during my on line school program. I received my Certificate and next was the Certification Exam. I watched all your reviews of the sections. I loved the tricks and short cuts that you showed for taking the test. I kept doing my practice tests A< B< and C on my AAPC website, as you and everywhere else that I read, said to do. I did pass (70%) and I owe it to your videos. My worst section was the E/M (17%) that is a tough one. Thanks again. I did it, at 61 yrs old and completely different field that I had been in, but could no longer do, do to medical injuries. Hi, I LOVE your videos! I just graduated college and will sit for my exam in August. During my prep course I realized I have a serious problem staying focused and sitting for hours taking a mock exam. Any suggestions? I have a few practice tests I’m going to do before the exam. TIA❤️❤️

Definitely check out the playlist above for detailed information on the requirements and training needed to pursue a career in medical coding.
It depends on how many exam attempts you purchase. There's two-attempt vouches and I think they recently brought back the cheaper 1-attempt vouches. You can take it as many times as you pay for.
Hello! Thank you for your info. re: exam. I have a question: I have my 3 books yr 2022 & I’m planning to take the exam next yr. Do I still need to buy the 3 books yr 2024? Hope to hear from you soon.

I think you’ll find it very helpful. This is a professional field where accurate and effective communication is vital. Being detail-oriented and having strong literacy skills are key to success if you seek certification as a medical coder. Definitely check out the playlist above for detailed information on the requirements and training needed to pursue a career in medical coding.
Anyone who can tell me how many chances do you have to pass the exam? I am taking mine next month and I’m nervous
The exams get a refresh every January 1st to reflect the current calendar year's code sets. You are permitted to use the current calendar year or ONE year prior. So in 2024 you need to use either 2024 or 2023 books.
For the full scoop, check out AAPC's official guidance:
www.aapc.com/certification/faq.aspx
" What year's books should I use?
All AAPC exams are based on the current calendar year’s code sets, so we strongly suggest you use the current year’s books. The previous calendar year’s books may be used on an exam, but you would be at obvious disadvantage doing so. The upcoming year’s books are not allowed for exam use. The exams are updated every January for the new code sets."
