This helped me in a big way. I was terrified to remove the strutt before i watched this. Please more trafic/vivaro/primastar video. Great camera work, good job grace! Thanks!
very much like sd631. im a bit warey of taking off the strut so i went and bought spring tensioners and big bars and a bottle of dutch courage. might go and have a go now that you so expertly explained and shown us , we did the ball joints and track rod arms yesterday and today, thanks for sharing and thank you grace for the fantastic camera work,
This has been an excellent help √ Our van has the same gap at the top of the strut and the garage wants £350. to rectify the problem. Now with your great info and Grace's brilliant camera work I'm sure my man can get this done for a fraction of the price . Top man for your down to earth info √
litle trick. Use strong anf long tie straps and first of all drop the weight of car on front schok and then tie 4straps round spring. Now when you till car spring will stay pressed and you can change schok with no problem. When done just cut tie straps and jobe is done..
That's a great video. I will be replacing mine when they arrive. Would it help to grease the top of the rubber or it doesn't make any difference at all? Thank you
Hi great little video, il be doing mine soon now. After fitting new bearing and refitting the shocks won't you have to get the tracking aligned again?? Or is that all set just by the steering arm track rod ends, suppose it is as thay are called track rod ends but thought I'd mention it cheers again
@@davidgreechan8506 thats a fair innings On my mk3 trafic i had loads of warranty work done Radio switched failed Tower brgs x 2 groaning Rear wheel brgs x 1 set 2 mass flywheel 2 x knocking And then 2 weeks after warranty battery dead 4 months after warranty ac( self repair) condenser rotted out lost gas ( self repair ) Next on hit paradecis check dpf sensor as they rot out

As a general rule of thumb grease and rubber don't do well together! On the other hand, silicone grease and rubber do just fine. ;-)
