This is the most respected mechanic, thanks for showing us the great attitude and professionalism.
This is the mechanic that has just sorted my injectors on my 2012 Vivaro. He did a fantastic job, My engine head was far worse than this with all bolts very badly corroded. I couldn't get the van to their workshop so they came to the Isle of Wight. My scuttle panel had the the central bolt broken so water just poured straight on top of the engine. It was this Video that made me decide to call them, Good price as well. Thanks
How much did they charge you ??
Thankyou for you advice .i need my ijct to replace.thanks .
Thanks a bunch for this video, man! Last summer, I had a huge problem with my Trafic. A mechanic saved my engine with three seized injectors. But after that, two injectors burned out, and my mechanic told me I had to change the ECU, which I did. Same issue. Today I watched your video about a bad seal, and I went, lifted the hood, removed the plastic, and saw that my middle bolt below the windscreen was missing. The gasket was burnt from age, and by the dust, it was clear where water was flowing. And that was a eureka moment. My injector connections were swimming in water all the time. Thanks for sharing your work, man. You saved my van! It has been in my family for 17 years, 88,000 km... like new.
YOU HAVE THE PATIENCE OF A SAINT!!!
Superb job gentlemen and an impressive selection of special tools a quality repair indeed.
Thank you for posting. I was told by a Machanic that if a fuel injector breaks off the engine is F@@ked. He said if it does he would give me £300 for a traffic on a 53 with 90 thousand miles. 🤷🏽♂️ great work guys !! 😊
I don’t even own a Renault but I am looking to get one, this video was fantastic. Excellent work, very good mechanics. Well done 👏🏼
A brilliant helpful and constructive how to video. I thoroughly enjoyed watching professionals at work. 👍
You are a genius 👏. What a good narrated, slow & full of detail video.Thank you Sir, helps a lot.
That job is enough to make most mechanics cry. You made it look easy 😅
These guys are top notch and I can recommend them as they did my van and its run superb ever since!
These guys are amazing..they done my car when everyone was saying it’s impossible..
Calm as a cucumber when the final injector snapped. I'd be fuming and saying There's always one!! haha. Great video I learned a lot.
It's interesting to see that even in a specialty pro shop you sometimes have to make your own tool adapters with a welder. I love this kind of video, showing how bad things can get. It must be concerning to wonder if all the drill fragments have been removed from the cylinder before startup. In a general shop I suppose some would remove the head and ask the machine shop do the heavy lifting.
What is about the tip of the last injector?
Where is it?
How did you extract it?
Fantastic job. Coul you be so nice to tel me which drill and thread taps are you using. Thnx very much in advance.
Thanks for the help with silicone repair, the cause of the problem, to this model - BIG LIKE!!!
Professional job we need more mechanics like that 💪👍👍
Great demonstration, thanks for taking the time to show us
Great job, real professionals.
Invaluable detailed explanation of what's going on. Thanks a lot.
Thank you for posting this informative video.
At around the 12 minute’s mark it was decided not to apply any more pressure, to prevent the top of the injector from snapping off.
At what pressure do you decide to stop and change methods?
Kind regards, Joe.
When you drilled out the broken injector. It looked like part of the injector nozzle was left behind....when you compared it to the other injector it was a lot shorter where the spray nozzle was..how did you retrieve the rest of the nozzle?.
good question..
Excellent work, very informative & super quality video, thank you.
Brilliant video , such hi quality and nicely explained. Was going to buy a vauxhall van but after seeing this I'm unsure.
I wouldn't ever buy another never 😱
got to say thats the best iv seen grate job done.
You have done such a great job, but the design of these fuel injectors is really bad and stupid
Fantastic vid, what a piss poor design by the manufacturer, little to no real forethought of water dispersion off the scuttle panel, the engineers should have their arses kicked for creating this problem...
EDIT: I've a 2017 Mk3 Trafic and checked each sides drain last night, flowing freely thankfully !
Where to buy this tool , nice work !
Great job, did the end of the tip on the 4th injector stayed inside the head? Did I miss anything?
The injector nozzle was removed before we pull the lower injector body.
@@OGSMechanics how, please?
Great job! Thanks for detailed explanation.
Good work but you could help yourself out quite a bit with this particular model by where the water gathers and goes into the injector seats if you squirt loads of WD40 in there for a few days before the vehicle gets into the Garage.
The injectors I don’t normally tend to have a problem with,it’s the Glow plugs but they can be assisted in coming out with the same principle of explaining to the customer that they can help by a few weeks before the Job if they can squirt just a little bit of WD40 in the glow plug seats.
I also explain to customers the importance of keeping leaf’s and debris out of the location below the windscreen and therefore keeping all the drains clear.
The amount of problems that customers have which could be simply avoided if they did some general maintenance on their vehicles is incredible….!.
Nowadays with these panoramic sunroofs and people who are not aware that they need to :-
1: Keep the Sunroof rails and drains clear
2: They need to get ( and ask specifically ) for a sunroof service
3: Fuel Filters do not replace themselves ?!!.
plusgas is a much better penetrating release agent than WD40.
Excellent tools nice job ,,, Mercedes Benz, Nissan,, Renault's,,, BMW, and so on ,,,, hard to remove,,,, but it's all about vehicles not being maintaining,, like old days,, before,,,💪
I’m just wondering why penetrating fluid is not used to help with the extraction?
Apparently even with penetrating fluid they can still be a real pain to extract, I've heard of all sorts of stuff used, one chap recommended using vinegar to break the corrosion between the head and injectors.
The injector clearance between the head is so tight with corrosion penetrating fluid would take months to penetrate where it is needed, Much like seized nuts on bolts very rarely do you see the ingress of fluid when the parts are dismantled.
Because clearly it was not needed!!
How much would this roughly cost for all 4?
About 2000 US dollars for 4 brand new injectors. Cheaper if used ones
thanks for the video! Now the trick is to find a garage with this tool.
Had my vivaro injectors and glow plugs done by this company a few years ago , not cheap but they did a great job , it’s a really badly designed engine and scuttle to allow this to happen.... 👍
Please come to Brighton UK and do this on my van!! 🙏
What diagnostics tool did you use?
Hi. Amazing video . What you can do if the washers which keep the injectors cant get out as the bolts completly rusted . Not possible to put any socket.
Great video. Very well explained 👍
Need help, My Chevy Cruze petrol, just having rough idle and a lot of white smoke, the mechanic already change the Piston ring, cylinder gasket, but the problem still there, help me diagnose the problem, is it air flow sensor, or bad injector, or bad coil, or bad head gasket? Thanksss
Hi how much costes intervetion like on video?
How did you extract the remaining portion of the injector nozzle? Clearly a portion of the nozzle was not extracted. How was it facilitated?
I wondered that. Glad someone else asked this.
Excellent video you make it look so easy.i suppose once you have the tools and the head for this type of repair your laughing.
Thanks for this video. Great help... Do you recommend coating the injectors in copper grease before Installation?
good question
That was a very good clear video. Thankyou.
Very good and informative video. Thanks!
And the engine can run or can't?
Exellent video and very detailed. Thank you
What size tap for the broken injector?
Great video very helpful 👍👍👍
Hi nate great video. What make is romoval tool please
How much does a work like this costs for a Ducato?
Really good video. Hydraulic puller ftw
I do like your hydraulic lifter, though I made an adaptor to go on my injectors in my Jaguar X type (same as Ford Mondeo MK3) and can then hammer them upwards. Mind you mine get tar seized rather than rusted in.
Really great video, thanks
There are lots of stories of injector removal horror stories and tons of vans for sale with injector problems. Do you think people go at these injector jobs with the wrong gear and no idea?😮😮😮
At 17:48 the bottom part of that tip is missing! Where is it? Did we even see that the engine run ok?
were did you buy the tool and how much ? cheers paul
Can’t understand why no penetration oil overnight?
WHY oh Why are you doing this dry, surly it would be better to let the area soak in penatrating oil to help break the dry
corrosion, then it may not have snapped ! Not really the way to do it - DRY
I totally agree too....why CRC or WD40 is not used before hand?
I thought same thing , would of definitely helped.
No it does not help. Not even a bit.
the injectors were corroded all the way down, nothing would break that down and would just be a waste of time
@@thatdaftscottishcarguy what about freezing injectors and waiting 5 minutes before removal?
How much for this service,?
How we can this same thing
Very informative video, thank you.
What took is that?
Great video! Very useful !
Can you please add link to buy hydraulic Injector puller
looks like one they made
Why worry about changing the injectors when it's clearly an electrical problem that can be sorted by cleaning & sealing the contacts & wiring, and fixing the leaking scuttle? The electrical part of the injector is at the top and easily accessed without removal.
Where to buy the tool?
Great video, thanks to you both for sharing
Fantastic video.
2:16 good catch lol
I use silicone to put on the injector on all lenth...
Wow great job
Fancy a field trip to Sweden to get my Trafic running?
How much complete puller please uk
Satisfying to watch
Could applying anaerobic sealant at the sleeve prevent this issue altogether?
Probably
Funny. Two weeks ago I noticed that water is dripping on the head of our Trafic. Looks like I have to remove that panel, too ;-)
Is it safe to use WD40 to loosen rusted injectors?
Yes, but plusgas will work much better.
Superb video
gr8 vid and v informative, thanks 4 sharing. This is a job and possible probs I've got coming up now shortly, so have a few Q, 1, after you widened and drilled out the sleeve in order to remove the broken injectoe/nozzle, How'd you sort the sleeve for th next injector to fit into as surely the hole is bigger now, or has a different thread on it. How's that work with th new injector designed for something different?
2, do you always have to enter a new code into system when changing fuel injectors? and if so, How's this done? I don't have a top of th range OBD tool, am planning to upgrade th one I've got, but what capabilities must it have? can we not just order injectors with th same code to suit?
1. You replace the sleeve with the injector. 2. Yes, you do need to put the new calibration code in, its done with a OBD tool.
Great video!
yer good job that hats off 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Good evening
can you tell me which drill bit you use to smash the injector at 16:40
Great job well done
Do you cut all the seats or just the one that was drilled?
Watch the video?
Why no penetrating fluid?
Very informative, thanks ❤
great job.
Well done 👍
Why no wd40?
Super film!!!!!
how much km ?
brilliant video thank you
Thanks allot sir
Amazing
This guy didn't curse once! 😂😂
How do you get all the bits of rubbish that fall through into the piston out
Compressed air.
