Hey bud I got a 2000 Honda 300ex got a problem with putting it in neutral the red or green light won’t go on. This happened after I rode it for about an hour. And when the red neutral light does go on it don’t even turn on anymore…..know what it could be ? It start right up when I roll it down hill and pop it into gear
The neutral light is green. If it's the red light illuminating, that's the reverse light. It could be a dead battery, a bad ground, or a connector some where. Check for voltage to the battery when it's running as well. The stator could be on its way out so it's not charging the battery.
You guys cool down to earth.you explain it in very easy to understand words keep it up great job.

@@rustednutrepair675 oh damn so mines backwards ! Cause neutral light was in red and reverse in green lmao prob a bad ground or battery like you say
I'm kind of late to the game here, but what oils did you use?
We used oem Honda oil. I believe it was GN4.
I have a 300 ex that want go into any gear
Sounds like the clutch is malfunctioning. I’d start there and diagnose backwards. It could also be the shift forks. Thanks for watching!
