Funnily enough all the waifu gacha games are probably the most honest of all mobile games.
Also I doubt these garbage games actually have that many players. Over 100 million downloads...but how many uninstalls after immediately finding out that the game is typical mobile trash.

The games in the ads are what the game on steam "YEAH! YOU WANT "THOSE GAMES," RIGHT? SO HERE YOU GO! NOW, LET'S SEE YOU CLEAR THEM!" is as it's meaning to be is to be the games in the mobile ads. The games are kind of good but they are the mini games you see in the ads. also a pay once own it until steam goes away thing.
Really it is more fun than most mobile games but it is what the ads are. It doesn't lie to you on steam either.
An Alana game would be cool though i wouldn't spend 1k on a gacha game to get it. ... Naked is allowed on the Google Play store you just need to follow censor ship rules. So nude but censored.

17:22 Funfact: I got interviewed to work on the companion app Ubisoft advertised with that trailer, the one where you were supposed to be able to control on drone on mobile and help players ingame.
I got the interview 3 months after the trailer dropped.
They presented in trailer a feature that they didn't even have properly designed, they didn't have a team working on it, it was 100% vaporware.
Didn't got the job in the end probably because they realized pretty quite this thing could never be done anyway. They still wasted my time doing a lot of pretty long writen test (non remunerated, ofc) for that shit.

*incoming min-rant, but not really negative, read if you want,* It's always hilarious when people claim that all mobile games are garbage or scams based on these games that false advertise their own game for some weird reason or these people never even lay a finger on it lol. Like bro all because games like rAiD sHaDoW lEgEnDs rely HEAVILY on paywalls doesn't mean every gacha is like that too. Drives me crazy when people say that RSL is the #1 best gacha out there, like how? The only reason that game has made it's buck and is #1 on the "successful gacha list" is literally because of it's Whale, Kraken and Titan population, I bet 100% if they stopped spending it wouldn't be #1 lol.
When it comes to gachas, the best way to approach them is this, to me it's like try them first before making said judgement positive or negative. I at least give games a week or two or even a full month before making a judgement if I actually want to continue with it or even spend on it. 9/10 I'm satisfied and feel I can comfortably progress as FP2 without really spending or in some cases drop the game altogether due to not having fun with it.
Games like Azur Lane, Nikke, Destiny Child (sad times) are perfect examples of gachs who balance whales and F2P's perfectly, still selling stuff (Ie, skins, bundles etc) for reasonable prices while also giving those F2P's a chance to experience the game entirely without having to pull out the wallet like in these cases, summoning. You also spend knowing what your getting, you reap what you sow, not throwing thousands randomly just because which a lot of people tend to do and then get mad which is hilarious.
Also yes, I've played the meme-lord RSL, literally when it launched to global, as much as CC's try to make it that it's a "F2P game" over the years it's not at all, all of the recent patches have proven this heavily and yet you still have CC's & Whales, Krakens and Titans who think nothing is wrong lol. Sure you can play it F2P, but good luck progressing, it will take you literal years, I have, and my account isn't even considered "end-game" yet and I've been playing it daily until recently, because I'm just sick of it lol. I've played gachs for like 10 years now, can't tell ya how many games I've come across over the years as a fully 100% F2P player, and best part is that I'm still enjoying the games to this day.
The only gacha that made me take out my wallet was Honkai Star Rail, mostly because I love the characters, the designs, the story, and the gameplay, and soundtrack. Every other gacha has been F2P lol, which also proves another point that you don't have to spend money on certain games to progress or enjoy it, it does depend on the game *cough, fck you Raid,* but again most, like waifu gacha games, you really don't need to pull out the wallet and to me that's nice.

I have played the X-hero or epic hero game, the ad was one of the draw a line around the dog to keep it safe from bees. It had a section of it to play the game fore like 10 levels then you had to grind out the hero summon game to unlock more levels. I played Hero wars years back, never got into it since it was one of those facebook games.
I kinda want to make mobile games, but I don't have the skills/too lazy to learn. An Alana mobile game could be an idle tower defense style game, with your model as the tower in the middle of the screen shooting the mini frogs as they come closer trying to cling onto the tower. You could sale skins for the different towers, which can give a small bonus to the tower's stats. You know to encourage them to buy skins more.

They have a $5 thing that gives you far more value than any of their direct buy-ins and works over a full month.

I spent $5 or so for Honkai Impact 3rd, since they have a pass that gives you gems for 1 month. I used Google Rewards tho, never actual money. Same with Nikke.
Am I still F2P since I’m throwing virtual money rather that use my own money? Like I’m not getting the best of the best lol I save up only for the RNGods to F me over 😂 Least Nikke is a bit more generous when it comes to pulling characters compared to Mihoyo games but holy hell, they’re over monetized to hell with their cosmetics like $20 to around $60!? WHO DAFUQ THEY THINK THEY ARE!? 😂 I wouldn’t even spend that much for cosmetic crap be it in a AAA game like CoD or Siege let alone a mobile game, one that I enjoy. Least with CoD you can save up CoD points, until you find an interesting skin or battle pass. At least those don’t go away completely that is until the next CoD and it’s back to, “Sorry your skins are staying here for good. No transfer”

@@J0kerHecz Genshin has the same system and the math works out that it's far better value than any direct purchase of the crystals they have and much cheaper.
I have godlike gacha luck though, and I cannot compute "fomo" so I've never even considered buying anything else, just the trickling in of support for a game that's fun.
That said, I haven't played Nikke, it doesn't look fun to me, but from what I've heard it's pretty nice. Genshin is easily the least predatory Gacha game I've seen. I played a few that outright block you from doing major plot or events until you've got a certain character and paywall essential stuff like DBL which I would say is the MOST predatory I've seen.
Genshin doesn't even push you to summon that often, you get so much of the resources you just do eventually. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What is the opposite of a whale? Twice in my life I've spent money on a game other than buying it: A character related to a charity campaign in Arknights and a mega-fast tank in World of Tanks. Both were years ago. Both cost a euro or two. And both small purchases I made primarily to support the free game because playing had been quite fun and I wanted to give at least Something. I mostly play strategy games, role-playing games and simulations... so all videos talking about monetization in mobile games or certain AAA games just bewilders me. Or maybe it's more the people who play them that confuse me.

I agree, it's surprisingly fun. As someone who started playing at the start of the year, I got in because the ads looked like a fun casual game, but I stayed for the RPG mechanics, the story and characters, and the various activities and events available. The fact that Nexters even bothered to do lore-related stuff like Keira's origin comic or the animated short for Galahad shows that they want to make something worthwhile out of this game. And while the prices for bundles and deals can be expensive and tempting, I like to earn the resources through the gameplay and only spend occasionally; that makes me more of a gacha dolphin than a whale.
