Actually yeah, now that you mention it, it _is_ odd the ATO didn't say anything. But, considering the bank probably threw it as a loss, they probably handled the fraud allegations on his behalf to keep it all under the rug. Or the ATO isn't nearly as aggressive as the IRS. One or the other, dude really found a golden ticket...

    Most wholesome criminal ever.
Uses stolen money to help people more than for himself. In fact, making people happy was his idea of a fun time. (how many actual non-Mr. Beast rich people did the same?)
Stops just out of personal guilt, and even confesses it.
Actively tries to get arrested as punishment when he noticed police was taking too long.
Seriously, Mr. Beast should hire him.
    ...wait...
So War Thunder is a game?
I only heard about them until now about how their forums are filled with leaked military files about vehicles.

Tecnically the money isn't even stolen. Nobody owned that money, at best he stole painted paper

    • @AlphaOmega1237
      @AlphaOmega1237 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

@@LampolukeThat printed paper was cash that belonged to the bank. Cash that needed to be refilled by the bank. His electronic payments for goods and services were essentially counterfit money as well. So yes, the money was stolen. Primarily from the bank.

A lot of the "leaked" documents are ones that have been declassified or publicly released, that someone just bothered to look for.

Whether it was intensional or not. Dan pretty much made a mokery out of the whole police system. The police were idiots, everyone from the bank were idiots, and everyone else were idiots who didn't see through this blatant crime. The only way he actually got caught was because Dan outed himself out of guilt. And even then, he still had a few years free because the bank never even reported him. That, to me, is the most hilarious out of this entire situation.

Just think if he hadn't had a conscience he could've done this forever until the bank went bankrupt. Which I honestly wouldn't be mad about. Could've just kept going until he keeled over, & had everything come out after he died.
Banks are for profit businesses, when they give out loans they're using their clients money. Yes there's FDIC but still the fees, the predatory lending, etc banks suck.
Credit unions are nonprofit & almost never lend someone more than they can payback. Also with protections similar to FDIC. Also the credit cards I've had through credit unions have been waaaay more protected from ID theft & fraud.

Honestly if you are getting money you shouldn't have the worst thing you can do is go nuts and buy things you wouldn't otherwise be able to afford, tax agencies notice that shit.
If possible atleast look as poor as possible from the outside and tell no one.
Same goes for legal money like a lottery win, don't change your life style just use it to retire early or enjoy some reasonable things you wouldn't otherwise but nothing that will turn heads. That is how to get noticed by people you don't want to notice you.

now, what the hell was up with that entire arrangement - the long distance engagement, the shared savings account and whatnot - i've no idea. leaving someone over text just means your relationship wasn't real in the first place. but i'm not their therapist, so i've got not clue what was going on with their personal life.
all i know is that i wouldn't want to marry someone who sends me suspicious money while getting fired and not even telling me. if i have to learn about my fiancee's termination through rumours, my levels of trust and security would drop significantly - below those required for future marriage.

I'm pissed. Bro was given a free pass by divine intervention every time and he STILL went out of his way to muck it up. He could have been 80 years old before they ever found out, and by then he would have lived his whole life in complete luxury. People literally daydream about something like this happening to them. Seriously instead of using the money on Gambling like an idiot, that coverup about investing quite a bit in the stocks of Australia because one of two things are going to happen, either he has enough stocks in Australian businesses that if they ever took him down, it would likely cause a chain reaction that beings them down with him unless they lie to to save his ass because most businesses or most immoral to start with and it would cause financial damage for years to come.
The second one he would have so much money in stocks and ran in politics, he would be likely to just buy that pre-emptive "Get out of Jail" card and based on his habits that he helps the people before himself, it would really be hard for the media to convince people to label him as a "bad guy" when he has helped people when they needed help most when no one would.
People only really care about this financial fucky-wucky shit when it directly favors politicians. People however will never believe the man is evil when he has changed their lives for the better and call him a saint, regardless on how he got the money.
Update: I seriously who gave the people at the bank jobs? Considering what he withdrew the money the court ordered him to pay back is so much less than he got.
