    Thank you! Was as easy as it looks to change out my 2003 f250 powerstroke hubs. Appreciate it! Thanks again!

    So no grease on the splines where the locking hub slides onto the outer axle shaft?

    Hello. I really like your videos, I subscribed. I am from Argentina and the front mass of the Ford 4x4 costs a lot of money. Is it possible to replace only the bearings or ball bearings? because it is only that, the rest is in use. If it's possible, do you have any video showing how to do it?

    Does the warn allow for the oem auto locking hubs

    Great video. It'd be great if you linked your product in the description. I had no idea the locking hubs used vacuum to actuate. Yuck!

    • @amerritt261
      @amerritt261 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not all of them use vacuum. Mine doesn’t, I just keep it well greased.

      I plan to cap my vacuun line off on the hubs. I'm not really a fan of that vacuum lock either. I don't mind getting out and turning something to engage!

    I have a 1996 Ford F-250 HD with manually locking hubs from the factory. The left front wheel get won’t fully release from 4 wheel dr when the transfer case is locked in. Which replacement warn hub should I use ?

      Check out the Warn website. It'll get your truck specs and show you the available hubs.

    new o ring??

  • @robertkwiatkoski1292
    @robertkwiatkoski1292 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    if the hub is lose can I just replace it with a new o ring? brand specific? thank you.

    • @Crack_the_Skye
      @Crack_the_Skye 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If your stock hub lock is loose, it's not the o-ring. That just helps keep the vacuum seal.
      Your outer locking ring may have broken or fell off somehow, if the actual hub assembly is moving.
      Now in aftermarket manual locks, there is a bit of intentional float.

    No snap ring on the axle?

    • @Crack_the_Skye
      @Crack_the_Skye 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The ring is already inside from the OEM one. Warn gives you a replacement lock ring if you want but you don't need to change it. It's not visible in the video but it's deep in the hub recess.

    So you don’t apply differential fluid inside the hub or on the axel shaft?

    • @Crack_the_Skye
      @Crack_the_Skye 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Warn hubs come pre-greased.

    I shit is shattered inside im scared to see whats inside! Im hoping its the locker hub so i dont have to pull the axles!

    • @azeeninety55
      @azeeninety55 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You're gonna have to pull axle anyway. My vacuum seal went along with stock lockers all busted up. I thought same thing thinking just lockers

  • @magdump7380
    @magdump7380 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    But you can manually lock the stock hubs also...
    Am I missing something here?

      This is for upgrade after your stock is broken. Same but aftermarket. abit better quality.
