See you guys in 3 months ^____^ (i am kidding new videos soon i promise)
Lies and Deceit
Bros next video comes with mh wilds
Special MH Anniversary stream when?
Yatta?
Lmao. Do what pleases you bro. A 2hr vid is impressive work
The game crashing before you killed the Monster is such a relatable feeling of absolute rage and anger.
I actually remember playing this. After I got into MH with Tri, I played this on my iPod Touch since I was addicted to MH and wanted to play anything I could get my hands on.
youre old asf
bro exact same thing for me I had totally forgotten about this game but I it was my first monster hunter, but then I got mh tri on wii with the classic controller and that game was fire
yeah in middle school dude i just beat tri and had got a psp so i could play freedom unite and ended up waiting 6 months for a Japanese copy and resulted to playing this game because i dont speak Japanese and was fiending hardcore for new monster hunter
Same here dude played it on my parent's iPad but could never get past Gravios
Petition to introduce "Equip Nyau" into the new mainline games too. We can always use more horrible cat puns.
You know, videos like this are actually a really good act of preservation. It's a hard game to get a hold off, and having you exploring and explaining everything will for sure be useful down the line.
I finished this game back in the days, it wasn’t easy I tell you.
I also remember when Freedom Unite used to be in the Appstore, good times.
I have an iPad air2 and the screen cracked. If it wasn't for my steam deck I would've paid big money to fix that iPad to just play FU in a big screen
Wish I had bough FU back then tbh
Its disappointing for not seeing any new mainline port to mobile devices
Capcom even imported Resident evil to phones recently
@@ninjalawzosteam deck is such a blessing. I can played the entirety of the MH franchise on a handheld device. Currently playing through Portable 3rd and I’m having a blast
@@HerEvilTwin good hunting my friend!!
I could never convince my mom to let me get 3U when I got a 3Ds cause “it’s violent” but I did get have a iPod, I got dynamic hunting and hid it in a group of other apps, I ended up playing it until my iPod didn’t support it anymore, this is so nostalgic I can’t get enough.
Nothing can stop this man from chronicling all of monster hunter
Bro just dropped a 2 hours video of a game lost ages ago.
And i'm gonna watch it all in one sitting because we all share the same neuron
The GS attack speed looks psychotic
Loved the video, it's awesome to see someone talk about this game! Me and my friend actually used to play the local co-op mode together all the time, since he didn't have a PSP to play Freedom unite with. I don't recall if monsters gained any new moves or changed their behavior much however, I think it was mostly just swapping between targets randomly. The second player would always start directly behind the monster, so they could get some early damage on the tail in very easily.
One strange detail I do remember is that despite the congalala not using any actual fart attacks, at the beginning of the hunt, he would always fart on the player behind him. It was purely visual and did no damage, but as kids we found it hilarious and would always play rock paper scissors to see who had to get farted on while hunting him.
Something you need to keep in mind is that all Japanese mobile games are optimized for metro travel. So it only requiring one hand to play isn't that surprising.
the game technically still requires you to use two hands as you have to hold the phone with one and play with the other (the fact you have to use two fingers with the playing hand means you can't hold it with that one), I think it really just has very outdated controls 😅😅
Holding a phone with my hand and using my other hand to touch is how I play all mobile games. Holding it with both hands and using your thumbs seems way weirder
@@DestroyedArkana Really? I think I see way more people playing games intended with 1 hand usage only use their dominant hand and thumbs.
@@DestroyedArkana im sorry to tell you this, but you're the weird one, boss.
@@SissypheanCatboy I think more people use their index finger than you would expect
Honestly I consider myself super lucky as someone who had the opportunity to play all the mobile MH games, Riders included - Dymamic Hunting was a wild time, my first hunts against stuff like Gravios and Tigrex.
2 hours of peak flyann 2 content
This makes me wish that monster hunter now actually operated in a fashion closer to regular monster hunter
This is so funny. About 1 months ago I found my old iPhone 4s and to my surprised MH DH was still installed and I been having a blast playing it.
Edit: except azure rath...haven't beat him yet...
There are bits of me that miss the bizarre era of mobile ports and semi experimental mobile gameplay that felt more reminiscent of DS ports or late gameboy ports. Awesome video man!
The mechanics of this game seem like a crazy good setup for an arcade game. Allow players to save their progress with a NESiCA card like SFV, provide preset loadouts for guests like in the demos, perhaps allow for connectivity with a second cabinet for co-op... The flashing callouts and leaderboard incentives are already there. With controls that simple, yet hard to master, it doesn't feel like much would need to be done to really make a really engaging experience on a larger scale.
unironicly better than now. you get potions every hunt wtf
When you get hit and have to burn potions to monsters you KNOW you should have no problems with 😭😭
Yeah I was literally thinking " so this is what we wanted (or at least me) wanted now to be "
I think my two critiques about MH Now is that 1), the potions we have now should be some sort of revival item, and then have a set amount a potions for each hunt to encourage more liberal use of them (my armor is under-leveled, so I use potions for revival rather than healing), and that you get more of individual drops, (unless I'm misremembering it feels like I still get 1 of each rarity 1 item even at higher difficulties) but more overall drops would be nice too (i.e. 6 total drops instead of 4 + break parts)
Capcom really reused the Monster Hunter Dynamic Hunting Combo font for the MvC3 hit counter, huh?
Thank you so much for all the effort you put into these.
I have always been curious about the various mobile Monster Hunter games. And I absolutely love that you played this game so completely in order to document it completely. Documenting games like this that would otherwise be lost is so incredibly important. It's stuff like this that makes you easily my favorite Monster Hunter channel on TH-cam. Thanks for a great 2 hours.
Also it bothers me deeply that the game has you roll away from tail-swipes, when usually in the main games that's a great way to still be in the hitbox when your i-frames end...
Thank you for such an amazing and thorough dissection of Dynamic Hunting! It's clear you put a lot of time and effort researching this, and I'm glad you were able to have fun with the game. I thought the personal narrative about trying to S Rank every hunt and get all the armor/weapons/achievements was great. It really captured why people get so sucked into MH games. Your video paints a picture of Dynamic Hunting that you can't get just by scrolling through the wiki or reading some old forum posts, and that's super cool!
love the long form of content 👍 keep up the great work and dont forget to take care of yourself first!
Love your videos, they're always so unique and good
I was on a quest to play and 100% every single MH game and I was saddened when I couldn’t find a way to play this one. Thank you SO much for documenting it in such great details, I was so invested it felt like being that elusive coop, what a banger of a video
I was looking for a video for my hour and a half drive. I'm glad this came out when it did. Great to listen to
Watched the whole vid and expected you to have hundreds of thousands of subscribers, I was surprised to see only 50k!
Nice, I'm currently reaching all your older videos and was just waiting for the next one
Weirdly enough it sound like a better version of MHNow without the anoying running around searching for monsters and paying for stuffs with real money
Every now and again i remember this game, and the nostalgia hits hard. Remember getting all my friends into it and just vibing. Was so much fun back then.
I remember playing this on ios back in the day ! And I do remember playing the local coop with friends. I am very certain that both players were in the same instance and you could see each other running around and fighting the monster.
I vividly remember strategizing with my friend on when to use the chance down so we could both use the barrage attacks when the monster was squirming. Unlocked memory !
Some things you are attributing to Portable 2nd are actually from Dos; such as the uppity instructor or the snowy mountain, which you said were both from portable 2nd
Great video. I hope you'll be able to make one covering Monster Hunter Explore as well
Bro left for 3 months then blessed us with a banger video.
I have been waiting! Thanks Flyann
love the new vid waxguy ♥
great stream the other day
also dynamic hunting was great
wow thanks for researching and showing this interesting lost MH game to the world. i'd never even heard of it!
I have never heard of this game before. Thanks for the video about it!
Yay! You finally made a video about this! I’m not sure if my comment had anything to do with this video, as I mentioned a different mobile mh game, but this is even better!
Love the video, you sir are doing gods work
Oh My Freakin Gosh !!! You Just Brought Back Some Nostalgic Memories from my Childhood !!!
It’s about Time we See this Lost Mobile Game come to SpotLight !
i Remember Playing This Game on my Old Gen ipad
To DEATH when i was Kid After when i was introduced to Monster Hunter by Monster Hunter 3 Tri, &
Monster Hunter 3U, and Remember Beating the Game with “Lunastra” Being The Most Nostalgic Fight In This Game !!!
Jeez the Memories are Strong with This Game i Miss it So Much ! :(
I also Vividly Remember when
“MH : Freedom Unite” used to be on the Appstore aswell and i played it on there before it got Deleted from the Appstore aswell…
You Are Definitely a Hero for Creating And Uploading This !!!
It is really really interesting how many of this game’s design choices Monster Hunter Now decided to take and iterate upon, just with a newer and more polished coat of paint.
Its crazy how similair this games combat is to Monster Hunter Now
They've most likely took inspiration from it just like Explore did
Ayyy he posted nice. It's good that he's growing enough to get sponsorships.
"Elder Dragon Great Jaggi"
Could be something from April 1th, the mission could be called "the monarch of the first flock"
great find :D thank you !
oh man I haven't even watched the video yet and I'm thrilled. Dynamic Hunting is the best mobile game I've ever played and up there with my favorite MH games. for years I've been trying to find the apk to play it again. I'm curious how you're gonna fill 2 hours of video on this game though
MY BOY GOT A SPONSOR!!!!! looking forward to the video!
Well, Nice video bro, we need these Game return plus forbideen weapons in 4u and others like explore and etc bro
That pink rathian really INFLATED the difficulty
If you know, you know
If you know, you know
If you know, you know
If you know, you know
If you know, you know
I actually got this one to work recently. Bought an old phone and archive to use this.
you are raising the bar for monster hunter content bro
Great video!!
Congrats for your sponsor!!!!
You are one of the best Monster Hunter channels, see you in 3 months!!!
I played it as a child it was so cool and addicting
decided to watch this video in discord vc witha freind last night after getting it recomended, best 2 hours of my life spent yet!
I remember playing this back when it released, but I don't know if I even got up to 2 hours in playtime. As I had really only played Tri at the time, seeing some of the older monsters for the first time was kinda cool.
Ive been looking for this one, for ages now, i hope you can share it without much problem
Really makes you think how much cool stuff has been lost to time and left to simply be forgotten as if it never existed
Glad we’re so much more vocal regarding game preservation nowadays ^_^
I love that this game uses Freedom Unite’s menu background despite not actually having Nargacuga in it
Holy crap. I was thinking about a mobile MH game that wasn't Go being a thing just a month ago. Leave it to flyaan. This'll be an awesome watch!
this game was actually what got me into monster hunter xd
7:07 I am beyond shocked that move orignated from dynamic hunting. Thought it was completely new in gen 5.
Never knew.
As a Moga boy that started with Tri, Dynamic Hunter was a fun time and a nice introduction to Gen 2 until I got my hands on a PSP and Freedom Unite.
I didn’t look at the video time, so I am now 30 minutes in and realise you‘re crazy enough to do a 2h video about an „ancient“ mobile game. Good job!
I still have this installed on my old iPhone, glad I never got rid of it
God I actually loved this game, it was straight to the point, such a good mobile game idea.
While Dynamic Hunting is actually pretty easy to get up and running if you buy a cheap 32bit Apple device, Massive Hunting unfortunately required a connection to boot up. That one really is lost to time unless someone has an unlikely work around :(
You’re doing good work. Capcom effectively removing this and the FU port from the apple store doesn’t bode well for a 3U/4U port sadly
definitely worth the wait!
Thank you for mentioning all three drink flavors for added immersion! Very cool video! For me personally, the first 30 minutes would have been enough, but no offense; I'm sure other people wanna go deeper on this.
Love your channel!
Flyann do you play MhNow? if yes what do you like about it? and what needs improving, would love to hear your thoughts!
Keep it up my man, you are criminally undersubbed
I love your content man
Imagine how broken longswords would be in Dynamic Hunting (Assuming they're added in a hypothetical 4th update).
new flyann2 video pog
This is going on my favorite playlist 🎉
Thank you, Flyann my GOAT
It’s kinda sad how no one likes stories, because some mechanics and things from this game appear in those games as well, like the ranking system and how simplified the monsters look, with how bright and recognisable they are while still having detail.
I really don’t know why everyone hates it, it’s a fun series with quite a bit of potential
2:02:13 Yoooooo! That's meeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You probably should add an epilepsy warning during the lance showcase.
Omg I’ve been searching for this game for months at this point. I can’t believe I didn’t think it would be an official Monster Hunter game.
LETSS GOOOO NEW FLYAAN VID
THATS CRAZY MAN
YOURE COOL AF
Never did i thought in a million years was there such a thing.
Bro this is the best MH related video I've ever seen
This game was my childhood me and my little brother played it coop wish I had my old gadgets,
co-op worked cause the players would basically start on other sides and the monster would switch who it would attack, worst part is when I runs to another player and you have try and get to it.
It may be a lost Monster Hunter game, but I still have this app downloaded on my super old IPod, and I am NEVER deleting it
I still have this on my ipod touch. Great game.
i so much appreciate a 2 hour video on a mobile game i never knew existed
this game make me want to say ,"it is the grandfather of Monster Hunter Now"
now i have the problem of really wanting to play this game!!. great video!
Final after so long a video and also about mobile game interesting :)
peak cinema right here
I still have this on my iPod!
I would have loved this! Infinity blade was my go to
Man I was losing my mind looking for this game back when Monster Hunter Now released, but there was seemingly no trace of it on TH-cam (I didn't remember the name of the game, but looking up keywords didn't work either, almost exclusively Freedom Unite videos) so seeing this pop up on my recommendations woke up something in me
FLYANN VIDEO LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I know this is an established fact since your very first video but you've manifested yourself as a pillar in the mh community. All the research, grinding, high production value, etc. you put into your videos... please keep doing these 🙏
