    I'm brand new to the Mac scene. Got myself a Macbook Air M2, and found an old 2013 Mac Pro on eBay. Got a new Apple mouse to go with it all. I can't use this mouse for more than a few minutes without my arm cramping up! Horrible ergonomic design that I'm amazed Apple approved. Great way to turn away converts like myself from buying the accessories, since I'm afraid to dump the $130 on a keyboard now.

    This mouse is probably the result of a project where an Apple engineer bet with his colleague that he could create the worst mouse ever, and even so, Apple fans would continue buying and defending it. I cannot believe this is a serious project.

      Design is bad but functionality is good. So I will still defend it when used with MacOS. The gestures and smooth scrolling is top notch.

      @@randomunderwebdweller there are a lot of mouses that can do more than the Magic Mouse. I really use the Mission Control, however I also use the switching between windows for same apps (control+down), and the Magic Mouse is the only one that doesn’t allow the user to configure this custom shortcut.

    • @randomunderwebdweller
      @randomunderwebdweller 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@MarceloRafael00 even so, do you know of any mouse able to make use of MacOS smooth scrolling? For me at least, that is the main value of this mouse and the gesture support. Not being able to customize is not a big deal. A lot of people don’t bother to customize anyway. It’s just up to preference. It does not make the mouse bad. So I stand by what I said, functionality is good.

    • @MarceloRafael00
      @MarceloRafael00 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@randomunderwebdweller it’s not a matter of opinion. It’s not ergonomic, nor customisable, you cannot use it while it’s charging, and like any apple device, you are only able to do what Apple allows. Smooth scrolling definitely is not a big deal compared to all shortcomings you have in this mouse. I have this mouse that my company gave me, and I swear, I’ve really tried to use it a lot of times. You definitely need to make a big effort to ignore all shortcomings of this mouse

    I’ve been using magic mouse for a few years, then I bought mx master 3s for mac been using it too 1y or more. Here are a few things you missed to mention but may be very important to some. Magic mouse very easy to clean it never gets dirty, battery life seems to last a lot longer than 3S, and 3S gets very dirty fast and almost impossible to clean. Rubber material of 3S is very bad in my opinion. Also 3S is very big many people wont feel comfortable with it, try and you will see what im saying. As for the features 3S I think has more, but most of the things you daily do both mouses will support, and with touch scroll on magic mouse you can precisely move where you want. Also 3S clicks are silent first few weeks then it start to make noise on every 2nd or 3rd click very annoying. I am personally returning to magic mouse soon just to get the black version :)

    • @adamtalkstech
      @adamtalkstech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I see what you're saying. I still prefer the 3S even after years of using the magic mouse. The comfort has been great for me. I haven't had issues with the worn out rubber yet but I don't eat at the computer either so not sure if that has anything to do with it.

    • @vpntrends2566
      @vpntrends2566 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@adamtalkstech I don't eat above the 3S or at computer either, this mouse simply gets dirty quickly from normal usage and there are many complaints about this from other people, in order to clean it you would have to open the mouse. On the other hand one swipe over magic mouse surface and its clean. In my opinion I would replace it just because of this even if it had better comfort and more features, but everyone can decide for themself what they think is more important..

    Apple Mouse looks great but, 1.) too heavy 2.) Side swipes end the fingers on the sides, where it should not be bent 3.) the straight edges dig into skin. It's great for casual users, but if you are at your computer 10 hours a day, it really adds up. I use a razor viper v2 pro, it is missing a lot of features but it is so light it doesn't hurt my wrist or fingers. I really wish they consider finger and wrist joint health when designing this stuff.

    I have a Magic Mouse that I've used with an iPad Pro, but I have my first ever Macbook Pro (M2 Pro) on its way - I have used Windows since 3.1 - so was pleased to realise that the Magic Mouse would work with the MBP. The thing is, I just thought it was an iPad mouse, and I knew nothing about gestures, so it's all very exciting. I was going to get a Master 3S for the MBP as I have used MX series mice since forever, and have used a Master 3S with my Windows 11 desktop for several years. But after watching this, I cancelled the Master 3S for the MBP, and will give the Magic Mouse a proper try. So thanks for putting me straight.
    One thing I am wondering about, is that I've watched another review which complained about the Master 3S low poling rate of just 90hz. My Windows one seems to work smoothly enough, but the reviewer said his was jerky with his MBP. I guess I can try my current 3S using the dongle, and decide after that.

    my biggest gripe with the mouse is the sensor being super inaccurate and high latency, which is funny because on windows the latency issues are gone, except the innacuracy gets worse, but as soon as you install the magic mosue drivers for the touch scrolling the latency comes back, and the weirdest part is how the latency gets 40% worse while holding the mouse button down, goes from 90hz to like 60hz for no reason
    the only other thing is how heavy is in relation to the size, makes the sharp corners dig into my hands a lot more than it should... seriously who thought putting sharp corners on a mouse was a good idea

Logitechs MX Master 3s is a special mouse because it has the function to connect with multiple devices at once. That said paring another bluetooth mouse (if it doesnt have a dongle) you do it the same way. I understand you in some ways, but it is a normal way of paring.

      @@adamtalkstech Yeah, the Mouse 3 has usb-c now. I had the Mouse 2 for 3 days and I returned it and looks like Mouse 3 is the same thing, no point of getting one.

    I just got this mouse from a raffle. Absolutely horrible ergonomics and my hands are not even big. happy I didn't purchase it

    Pure hate, no love. Looks good, but good for nothing else. You get sore arms after one day's use. Very hard to use.

    This damn mouse lol. I love the features but it is not comfortable. If they made it more ergonomically for the hand and wrist, it would be the best mouse hands down.
