  • I have a dry and flaky hairline. I have been told that it possibly scalp psoriasis, but this method that I try to do weekly has helped to keep my snap healthy and my edges nice and thick. This is how I am able to retain my natural hair length and grow my hair fast.

    I thought I was the only one with this problem. It's embarrassing when I'm in class or a group of friends and the flakes from my hairline fall on to the table. I found that ACV and peppermint oil work best for me ☺. Also at night I take an aloe plant and rub it around the front and back of my hair

    • @michellesmith8307

    i used to have that problem all over my head when i was younger. to the point where i would be picking scabs on my scalp. my mom took me to the doctor even. what worked for me was ultra sheen tea tree grease (pink one, not blue) and sulfur 8. never had another issue until i started following all this new school stuff. so i'm going back to greasing my scalp

    My scalp would flake up too...it could be the products or the irritation from the lace on the wig. I went back to old school Blue Magic the regular kind and my scalp loves it! I didn't have these issues when I was young. I find my scalp is too dry for oil and loves old school grease!

      Fear for my hairline and picking the right one. I don't think it's something I can just do online and then my neighborhood beauty supply stores are a little intimidating and I really don't think they employ the most knowledgeable employees. 😳

    • @auroraautumn8764
      @auroraautumn8764 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yvonne Hubbard I side with you. Wigs are very intimidating for me. I started buying tracks and paying money to get them installed professionally. I then hated when others touch my hair, they don't treat it with as much ❤️ as I would and with so many bad experiences the anxiety of others doing my hair is overwhelming.
      I then started testing synthetic, then synthetic mix, then a natural wig. I am not there as yet, but I've also made my very own wig and it's about two months and I am still loving it.

    I have the same problem. It's most likely a scalp condition similar to cradle cap in babies. I get dry patches on the sides of my nose, behind my ears and on my eyebrows. I also use the same shampoo line you use. My hair is almost to my butt and I find the shampoos and conditioners exceptional. Everybody stares at me because I shop in the "multi cultural" hair section at WalMart but I would not use that crap they make for white people if they paid me. I'm a soap and cosmetics maker and I know what goes into those pretty, fruity smelling bottles! Thanks for the video; you and your hair look amazing! Peace, Avie

    I've struggled with this for a while now, up to the point where I chopped my hair off because I though maybe my scalp wasn't "breathing" enough. The issue continues, though now it's easier to just wash it every couple of days when the flakes start as my hair is now so short i dont need to take 2 hours a week to wash it, it takes me 10 mins max in the shower. Nothing worked for me not oil, creams, special shampoos, nada.

I just started to use it and put it in my regimen for my edges and it broke me out and made my scalp itch to the point that my hair line was looking almost the same way. Now I trying to use it sparingly. If it breaks me out again I will try to find a different oil or use regular castor oil instead

      Try jojoba oil instead for your edges. Its one of the closest to natural oil from our skin.

    It looks like contact dermatitis or eczema , which you get from product build up. To many things on the hair and scalp is not good. Even if you used a sulfate shampoo, it leaves build up too. I would clarify my hair with a clay and then use up to10 or more drops of tea tree essential oil in a spray bottle of water and spray every day for 2 months. If it has not cleared up yet. It is good to use gentle shampoos for hair. And please use less products. Check out You tuber " 22nd Century Natural Women" 7 hair sins.

    Did you have eczema has a child? My daughter has it gets bad till it start breaking it off. I now use the gold listerine on her hair before a wash. Then apple cider vinegar with her DC. I get less flakes. thank the Lord.

      Hmmmm the Gold losterine.....I heard of that before from someone.....but no I never had eczema as a child. I didn't notice this until I started wearing wigs. However, as a young adult i had dry scalp all over because of relaxers.
