    Hello Justice. I just wanted to personally say thanks for the advice presented in the video. I’ve always wanted to try and grow my hair, but I’ve never really stuck to a proper routine. Now, I’m getting back into routine, and I’ve seen some pretty good results within four weeks. This video only helps add to that in the resources I and many others could use to have healthier hair and pretty good growth. Keep up the great work and the beautiful hair

    My hair used to be extremely healthy and long. However, I wanted to do more with my hair before I turned into an adult and dyed and straightened it for the first time. Professionally done. Within a year the front of my hair is dead and straight and my bangs fell off in the shower. The back is healthy cause I never straightened it (weave) As a response, I dyed my hair back black and threw on some braids. My hair does grow fast, so my hair looks silly when left out. My roots are puffy as my regular hair texture shinning through, and the rest my hair looser. So I tie the front back or get braids. In a year my hair should be grown back. I will try all your suggestions, but I’m definitely done with dying my hair. I loved copper, but the tears I had when my bands fell out is enough to stay away. I used to hate my hair, but looking at old photos make me wanna cry cause I just realized with my messed up hair how perfect it really was.

I tried growing my hair out for a long time and the best tip I would share was one you did; regular trimming! At this point I just want my hair shorter just for the maintenance.. but if I go too short it will be a ‘fro fo sho..

    Collagen supplements! I started taking a dose used for joint care, and my hair got actually harder to lighten. I had to go up from a 20 volume to a 30 volume developer. My hair and nails also grow a little faster now, I have to get haircuts more often to maintain the cut I like. I also feel like cuts and scrapes have started healing faster, but that’s a big claim.

    My hair has changed with perimenopause but I have been natural for over 30 years. I agree with this and beeswax for protection used to help but I live in a different climate now plus my hair is now a bit more "fine" and cannot take the weight. I like jojoba too but also use olive oil and coconut oil for the scalp. I will try rosemary soon. I love a bonnet and some winters if I can wear a bonnet full time under a hat I would. If not I try to keep my hair in two strand twists mostly. Drinking water and I think eating cucumber has helped my hair and skin too. Thank you for your inspiring videos.

    I use normal conditioner to detangle my hair twist it up, deep condition without opening the twist to keep it from tangling for 30+ minutes w plastic bonnet, than use leave in conditioner to detangle one last time before putting it in its final style usually chunky twist
    I only wash my hair maybe once a month, Once every 2-3 months ill detangle with fresh alovera gel streight from the leaf, skip the normal conditioner, to the deep condition and than leave in
    Been doing this for 3 years no heat at all, have my silk scarf at all times when at home , hair grew from permed damaged boob length, to ass crack lenth and relatively healthy, although i feel like i need a good trim, i might even do a silk press for the first time to see my progress and get everything thats dead off the ends

    I keep getting told to take off bonnet cause it will give me white hairs……it’s satin so my hair can breathe. But nice tips overall I might do the deep conditioning one.

    • @KatieCottingham
      @KatieCottingham ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Is it silk satin or polyester? If it's polyester it doesn't "breath" unless it's a really poor quality weave of the fabric. "Satin" is the weave pattern, but doesn't mean anything for the fiber or quality. Silk *DOES* breath, even in a super slick satin. My grandmother was from Vietnam and the family was in the silk trade, so she always wore a sleeping cap of silk and tried to get me to do the same but I was young and thought I knew I was doing because I'd gotten down to my knees eventually, but had I not needed it cut short for a few years as a kid after a really bad matting incident (I didn't know how to comb out knots and was too proud, and hormonal, to ask my Mom for help until it was painful and took like 4-5 hours and so much conditioner to get it all out).
      Anyway, if you can afford it/ find one, silk is the best option and it won't affect the pigment in your hair because that's affected by genetics and health working deeper in the skin.

    Peptides -collagen unbleached unflavored there are 3 types and depending on who you are. I use your 1 & 111 there's also type 11 non GMO gluten free rgbh-free. At to smoothies soup or other warm drinks. To much to write here, but collagen aids in healthy nails skin and hair. 😊 I'll be trying banana peel oil/juice here soon as I'm waiting for a ten day infusion. You can also boil the peels for an immediate production.

    Suggestion for bleaching your hair, before bleaching coat your hair with coconut oil to keep in moisture, then add the bleach to your hair. After that condition your hair for an hour. Rinse the conditioner, dry your hair or let it air then add color. Yes it's a long process but it's worth it. Also use color safe shampoo and conditioner.

    I’ve been using rosemary since supplements like just taking vitamins and ashwaghanda, fenugreek and drinking water. My hair is super thick and so healthy!!! I deep condition every wash day!!! Also I got a trim recently and I see why people do it! It removed the dead hair from the coloring and now I know why I won’t color my hair anymore. My hair is beautiful and thick and dark I love my hair!!

    Interesting. The bit about trimming ends regularly is one I need to add, but I have to agree that low maintenance protective styles go a LONG way towards increasing hair length.
