Thanks for showing this video. I have tried with various success, I'm using a stainless steel pan and small amounts of lead, but my main issue with the type of stove you are using is that it did not seem to get the lead hot enough. So not sure if I was doing anything wrong of my stove does not produce enough heat so I need a different make.
Hi Robert, most people use these camping stoves but what can happen is because it uses compressed gas cans they get really cold if sat around, you light it and it’s a big flame but then it just dies down under the pan, I have to stain it in my jumper for 5 mins or change the cans to one that’s not been sitting around and that does the job, never had a problem with it not melting lead as it’s quite a low melting point! I have also seen folk do it over a bbq before but for me the stove is ideal.
