I was almost done with Twilight Princess when my marriage fell apart, and I never got the chance to complete it. That was 12 years ago. I would LOVE an HD remaster!

i think that, for twilight princess fans, the best case scenario is that the game gets the metroid prime remaster treatment with orchestrated soundtrack, that would be great

I agree except a couple small changes to the game would be nice. I like the game more than botw and totk and wind waker, but the padding at the end of the game I could do without. The last temple doesnt feel quite long enough and the sky temple is pretty much universally considered to be very mid.

I would love to see a new 2d Zelda game. That being said Minish Cap is such an awesome game and if it was remade millions more could try this wonderful forgotten game.

Minish Cap was my first Zelda game. If they remake it however I hope they streamline some parts of the game like the awful figurine gacha and some of the more confusing gemstone puzzles. I remember being stuck after the 3rd dungeon because I had no idea where to go, but the answer was that I had to do some obscure gemstone trade to unlock the next dungeon.

I think we’ll get WW and TP this year, and then an Oot remake as a first year title for the switch 2. I think the WW/TP ports were planned for last year, but since Totk got delayed to 2023, they got delayed to 2024.
Yes!! I think exactly the same!! TP and WW HD definitely had to have been planned for last year but because of TOTK they surely moved them to 2024!! I couldn't agree more with you!!
WW is for the Nintendo 3DS Spocco and TP will be for the Nintendo Switch Pro.

A Trilogy of games which includes the original two oracle games remastered for the switch as well as a 3rd new game Oracle Of Secrets.
Completing seasons will unlock a main menu combat challenges, completing ages will unlock puzzle challenges, and completing secrets will unlock hidden side quests, unique power rings, and the ability to replay dungeons/rebattle bosses.
I would love for them to release an updated Legend of Zelda Oracles Collection updated in the graphical style of the new Link's Awakening

I have a feeling we haven't gotten WW and TP because they want to do more with them than just another HD port. I expect them on Switch 2.
Yeah, individual true remasters of those games are far more likely than mere HD ports for the second time since that's exactly what happened with Metroid Prime when people were expecting the whole trilogy again. But that's if we ever even get re-releases of those two games at all.
Or they will be on the switch 2 because nintendo cant seem to do anything other than 100% safe ideas these days with their major IPs, and theres only so many of them that they can push to get good sales numbers. Saving it for the switch 2 makes sense, because fans have been begging for it for years, it'll be yet one more reason to buy the new console and not wait, as many are likely to do in this economy.

Ocarina of Time will be saved for Switch 2. There will probably be an additional temple: The light temple.

@@user-bq4ud1dg1c I still love the OG formula and prefer it that way, however I would love to see the original concept for Zelda 3 (before it was called ALttP) come to fruition.
I’ve been playing Zelda since the NES, so a 2D Zelda appeals to me the most.
No matter how much we had A Link Between Worlds that game was a sequel to A Link To The Past and was released on the 3DS in 2013. So I'm saying A Link Between Worlds sequel can be true for the Switch.
Personally I'd like to see a 3D remake of A Link to the Past. Using BotW/TofK graphics.
Bring back the old items and dungeons, and for this to work they would have to remove the 'climb anywhere' mechanic, otherwise death mountain would be way too easy. But imagine the possibilities of remaking that! what they could add, like cutscenes, larger towns, gorons. And seeing the pyramid in the dark world, they could even add the original game so you have both to play. AND BEING TURNED INTO A PINK BUNNY . . . . IN 3D! God I hope they remake it some day.
What i would love love love to see is a paired Oracle Games remake- both games one cartridge when both are completed it unlocks the “3rd part” final story which has elements of both Oracle games coming together.
I grew up on 2D Zelda and just recently played through A link between worlds for the first time and it brought me back to my childhood with links awakening and oracle of seasons and ages and a link to the past. They did such a good job with that game. I really really hope they do make more 2D Zelda game. I just bought a switch this week for the first time and am excited to play through the seasons games and minish cap again as it's been many many years.
I would be surprised to see anymore Zeldas on the Switch. I feel like they are saving their ports and whatnot for the next boy.

Yup, I really want them to do smaller traditional 3D Zelda formula games inbetween the big open world releases, ive been starving for another game like that since Skyward Sword, and BotW/TotK don't scratch that itch

Just something I find interesting. In the comment from Aonuma about the dungeon maker for Zelda. The highlighted section mentions how forcing players to build things from scratch wouldn’t work for Zelda. Yet that is literally what they did for TOTK. Just find it funny

I think we will get them on the switch and switch successor would only have game that is smoother but not graphically stunning. I think expectation like that indicates he and many wanting a successor due to graphical fidelity instead of just good performance and unique experience, even though they are saying that on the surface. Nintendo can take time because they just can’t meet such high expectations power and graphical wise. It’s like calling for a buffet citing the reason to be hungry

This point I’d rather them not release another big Zelda title or remake on the Switch and just make something extra special for the next console that’ll look way better. I can emulate the old games just fine but would love to see a great remake on the next console.

for anything new-new... i wonder how a massive-map open world 2D Zelda might work? that could be fun. not being able to see things in the distance to mark and head towards might be an issue... but if you made the overhead view super duper zoom-outable that could work maybe? like to where Link is like 2px square (flashing w/ a bigger arrow/icon though) on a 4K screen. basically like pulling out from gameview right into mapview. or maybe some adjustable isometric tilt thing. or both. 🤷♂ though maybe i am already sorta describing Link Between Worlds? i have never played it but maybe sounds vaguely similar?
Daum , I got so far as a kid on windwaker , I wish I could get a second chance to finish it if they release a HD remaster on switch , twilight was the first Zelda game I beat . I’d love a HD version of that one too
I'm thinking that TP HD and Wind Waker being the flagship zelda releases for switch 2 might be the safer option for Nintendo unless we get news about a new Zelda game launching with the Switch 2.
With the success of the Link's Awakening remake on the switch, it is very hard to believe that they are not working on the Oracle games in the same engine. Definitely see them being released as a Box set, possibly with the 3rd game that didn't make it in the original release. That 3rd game inclusion would be the big "Remade these games, but wait, there's more" to drive sales.

There are only a couple games in the series that haven’t gotten a proper remake. The DS titles being the big ones, but also four sword and four sword adventure. It would also be nice to get WW HD and TP HD ported to switch since WiiU is deader than Elvis.

Lol hate to break it to you, but that's like very low on priority for the fanbase. Besides the fact that many other remakes are wanted more, the DS games are still looked down upon by many all these years later.
Plus the games are just quite difficult to port. Many would call for the stylus controls to be removed, and at that point, what's even the purpose of bringing them back?
What would help is moving the story forward and allowing us to have end-game content. I just want to see Link live a simple life in one of the villages and for Zelda to become Queen.

I'm really hoping a remake of the Oracles or Zelda1 and 2 is this year. The Wind waker and Twilight princess ports are at the top of my list of wanted Zelda titles. Both are ready and their just sitting on both. It would make my year if announced. Id buy in a heartbeat 💓!So many want those ports. Lets build some hype!
I'd see it nice to get 16 or 32 bit Zelda 1 and 2 in one set with 3d or 2d hand drawn with Minish Cap hd included, Oracle games both in Links Awakening on Switch, Four Sword Anniversary, Link to the Past, Four Sword Adventures, Tri Force Heroes, Maybe Wind Waker and Twilight Princess separated. But Wind Waker with redone HD versions of Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit Tracks. Twilight Princess with Link Between Worlds. But Ocarina of Time with Master Quest and Majora's Mask they could maybe remake with Unreal Engine and have it as a massive game.
For an In-between new zelda game, I'd love a Twilight Princess remake, which was my favorite. For the next new game, what I would like an even more rich story. Similarly to GoW 2018. Also, If the devs could add more enemies, itd be awesome. A game difficulty system would also be sharp. And finally, less shrines and more temples with bossfight, or just more hard boss fight with a reward.
So far this year I have been thinking similar things. I believe any of these are possible!

Let's face the truth. Nintendo can easily sell Wind Waker for € and I think it would even be fair if they put in some major update. Maybe even another dungeon instead of the triforce quest. Wind Waker doesn't benefit from the extra graphics power of the Switch 2, unlike Twilight Princess. The game has a realistic art style and could be a graphics demo for the Switch 2.

I would like a new Hyrule Warriors that takes place during a war from the older games. Like the Interloper War with the Twili, or the original Imprisoning War in the downfall timeline. I also think they should start making canon stories to connect the universe better.
Maybe there can be a Hyrule Warriors game for the Switch that is based on Tears of the Kingdom.

If I could request any NEW Zelda game it would be a Twilight Princess sequel where Link goes on quest in a foreign land (possibly including Termina, would be a nice touch) to acquire the means to make a new Mirror of Twilight (maybe even have no larger world ending threat / bigger quest than that, would be a nice change of pace, after all it would be a VERY big deal to Link. A large/difficult, but personal quest instead of a grand heroic one).
Say have him get robbed early on, if not at the beginning, to reasonably lose his items. Then have him reacquire them (and new ones) on his quest. With the ending being him opening the portal, and leaving us to imagine their reunion, (possibly after credits showing Midna on her throne stand up in surprise eyes bugging, out then say "LINK?").

I have seen this video being made by different people every couple months for the last 5 years. Just play them on an emulator, it will be infinitely better than the half assed port Nintendo will put out probably 3 years from now

If hypothetically the OoT remake is in the works, I don't see a teaser this year. Perhaps we could possibly see Wind Waker and Twilight Princess come later this year and maybe 2D Zelda next year. Who's to say but will just have to wait till Nintendo officially confirms something Zelda related in the future.
I'm wondering if we can get a new Zelda game or maybe a remake from a Gameboy Zelda game could work. Maybe we can get a new Hyrule Warriors game on the Switch. And then we might get some game like Triforce Heroes 2 or the Zelda game that never got released on the Wii U. A 2D Zelda game could work maybe something similar to Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages. Or something like that...
Honestly they should remake all of the 2D Zelda games in the style of Link's Awakening. I think that's just easy money.

Remember that the hand held and home console division for Nintendo merged a few years ago as a result of the Switchs success. so there isn't a 2d or 3d team any more.
Point being that games aren't made with handhelds in consideration. they only need to concentrate on what the Switch can handle.

Well, my take on it is to bring the N64/3ds Zelda titles(ocrania of time, Majorias Mask) to Switch properly and not an online server app. All we know is that they could do a collection of Ocrania of Time, Majorias Mask, and Twilght princess collection like they did with Mario. I think Wind waker would be a separate and full prize because it's a unique Zelda game. But if I wanted to play wind waker or twilight princess, I could just hook up my Wii U.
I just want them to remaster the link to the past, to be honest. That's my favorite.
So thankful I still have my wii u and copies of wind waker and twlight princess. The prices on these games are getting crazy

I know this comment is nothing new, but I personally want 4 remakes.
Twilight Princess and Wind Waker (as someone who never owned a GameCube or Wii, I barely played either of these but definitely want to play them and beat them) and Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask (2 of my favorites and my personal favorite zelda era). I would absolutely love to see updated graphics for N64 remakes similar to what we've all seen in the Unreal Engine remake videos.
I want them to keep expanding and doing new things with new titles though. And while I know this is an unpopular option, I think BOTW and TOTK are hugely overrated. Not that they aren't great games, because they are. And they introduced some excellent game mechanics to the series, but IMO the loss of true dungeons with distinct personalities and enemies is a huge loss, as was the way the narrative was handled in those titles. While there were many great aspects of those games, they also lacked much of what makes the LoZ series special. I want them to move on from that era and discover something new, but also bring back real dungeons and distinctions between areas, and the lore that goes along with it

I mean, my own obvious bias aside (😁) it is a Fantastic game. Not the total peak of the series but definitely a major push for the ''Do everything'' new-age Zeldas and a huge leap over Botw. I recently dipped back into Skyward Sword and 1 or 2 of the older 2D games and well, I simply got bored _really_ fast (esp in Skyward.) I digress with what many of the online comments say: I think the size of the World _does_ matter. You feel well-travelled for one.
