it's intended to scam consumer. Look up their mobile line up this year
      6s gen 3 is a rebrand of a 695 which is from 2021
      8s gen3 = 7+gen3 but overclocked > 7+gen 2> 7 gen 3 > 7 gen 2 > 7s gen 2
they are confusing customer in order to get more money so now company like motorola put 8s gen 3 instead of 8 gen 3 in their flagship motorola edge 50 ultra and normal consumer think it has snapdragon 8 it must be the same as 8 gen 3

On the other hand, there's 2 different variants of almost every base M1, M2 & M3 chip with different core counts.

The entirety of the codebase + built objects could probably be transferred around in just 3 seconds. If anything IOPS is more important when it comes to storage for large compilation but any SSD should have more than enough IOPS these days.

In such a scenario, introducing chipset variants with different power levels, naming them with un conventional codes, multiple variants all are gonna make it hard to find the best one for you.snapdragon should seriously consider this, and should name their processors accordingly. How much power a CPU on a Laptop draws has little to do with the power brick that it comes with.
Yes, for high end Laptops you can run into issues where your laptop charges slower than it discharges under heavy use, but let's not kid ourselves, even the X1E-84 doesn't do that when you charge your device with a 60W charger.
Don't get me wrong -> a higher wattage (and therefore faster) charging ability is nice, but please don't make the argument that it has any bearing on the power of the CPU on these productivity focused devices

just bought it today $860 for the Black friday sale and I can admit it is a decent Laptop ....so lets just cut to the chase on this machine
Pros - Battery life 26+ hour with steady/constant use
    - 2.2k screen res is cool, its not Apple or Samsung
    - it is a rather fast PC but have not put it thru a true test
    - fan noise is very low
Cons - build quality made from recycled ocean plastic
    - sound quality is not the best, has a very high whisper pitch on the loudest setting
    - processors could be better especially for the price tag 60hz on a 2.2k screen? id expect more
In my opinion, this is a mid-range PC that's packed with a couple "premium" features. It does not compare to a Macbook or some of the more popular PC`s out there. Sound, performance, build quality are really important to me and this PC lacks in a lot of departments and for that I probably will be returning for a refund tmrw LOL I will be either going with a Samsung or ASUS which was my intial choice, would LOVE another Macbook but the price tag is just too steep for the time being

The X-Elite, as it stands, is a de facto premium Chromebook. Best for video watching, browsing, office work and light stuff like social media. No one should currently be recommending them for "pro" work or gaming despite the marketing spiel from some.
So, as a Chromebook, it is very efficient. Although TomsHardware's report states it is not even revolutionary in the Windows ecosystem, it is better than the current (soon-to-be-updated) Intel by 2-3 hours in light work, not so much on intensive workflows.
A good alternative for light work that does not need specific software or driver support for accessories (like printers, scanners, and display meters where they are sadly lacking and unlikely to change). No Google Drive support, and my VPNs do not work at all. But if battery life (or the mediocre AI) is not a big deal, you can buy 2023 Intel/AMD machines with better specs for nearly half the price.

Clearly, Snapdragon cannot compete against Apple M series laptop. It tries to get some market share from ntel and AMD laptop. However, x86 PC ecosystem is just too large and too important. Many legacy and current hardware devices will not have Snapdragon drivers, and many old and useful software will not have Snapdragon version. If the price is $300-500, some will give it try, just like Google Chrome book. For over $1000, over 95% will go with safe and mature x86 or just get Mac. Pretty sure, we will see fire-sale for these laptops with Snapdragon in this year holiday shopping season.
