Nice vid mate. Just a heads up, if you were charged $20 by uber I don't know what that was for, as I didn't see that but I really didn't expect any extra fee anyway. Worth chasing up with uber as it appears they are pocketing that for no reason. But all good, I didn't expect anything. Happy to drive you any day you need a lift to do another epic trip like that.
Best way to go upwind on solo runs. I do it myself a few times weekly here in Brazil with a 7’1 skinny sup and paddle. Drivers here are friendly and kindly take it every time. Also cheap ride. I do 30km rides for less than 10 usd. Just dreamy!
Hey mate, I’m lucky enough to live about 600m inland of the beach where our run finishes. I drive to the start point (upwind), leave my car and foil downwind, then carry my gear home, have a shower, then grab my trusty electric skateboard and skate back to my car. I usually solo my runs coz I don’t get off work early enough to join the regular crew, but this way I don’t miss a session 🤙
Matt Costa used to do it a lot for 3 mile runs by his house. He would do them prone, so it fit in an uber nicely. It got to the point where he'd just leave his dry clothes at the top of the run for the next day or two :)
I wish I'd seen you. I was at Castaway yesterday morning trying my new axis tray 94 with the HPS 930. Next time, happy to do the Uber for free but I might keep your phone ;). Awesome job as usual, mate!
My first thought was "Double check a printed list so I have everything before getting into Uber" but ha! need to have a "get out of uber" checklist as well.
Do public buses exist on your route? Maybe you could see if that works next time. Seems it might even be easier to get all the gear in. Just need a good, slim, bag to carry the foil and bits.
Hi Dave! Please, is this the same advanced fuse lenght you used in your spitfire videos? I really liked your style on those as you were driving your carves lika a snowboard on rail! gracias in advance.
On the Slim is neglible. On the Max you At full speed down a bump it's game over most of the time:) Having said that I actually recovered from a few this run and stayed on foil. The Pod pre warns you obviously that you're too low on the mast so as long as you're not trying to do super fast runs 2 - 2:15 kms it really isnt a problem and this is the first run in the month I've had the system I've had touch downs.

Super nice! Question for you: since you have the Foildrive to help you get up on foil, why don't you use a smaller board like prone surfboard?
The FFS 😂😂😂 gold

Yup. Only fuse I use.
Love this!
What is your board?
I think thats my old board, sprayed pink! Its actually 5'6 x 19 x 3.1 at 36l
Dave, do you have a review of the ARTPro 1401 in the works?
Hey mate, foil lord has been out the water at the moment but will get back to you real soon
Nice editing! Is that a selfie stick or a paddle in your hand? Do you even need a paddle with foildrive?
Nah selfie stick. No paddle needed for Gen 2.
Time for Amos to FINALLY release their inflatable SUP range.🤷♂️ ….yeah I know, probably NOT gonna happen😂
Haha no chance.
Gong and Takoon have that...
maybe i missed something, so forgive me for being redundant. How much are you actually using your battery?
For about 10 seconds just to get up.
@@davewestfoils thank you
The 1051 😂
Y'a thought that's a bit small right
How is the touch down with the gen2?
