- Spongebob Squarepants Creature From the Krusty Krab is a...game. It's one that's always took up space in mind because I could never figure out how I had felt about it. Since I was a child, I've gone back to this game every now and then and have always left with a different opinion. So, what is the final verdidct on this game? While we wait for Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated to hit out pineapples, let's discuss Creature From the Krusty Krab!

London Jackson CGRundertow also hates any CGI animated movie that’s not Pixar for “killing hand drawn animation” and “having no animation spirit”, even though Pixar (nothing against them) is the company that made CGI animated features a thing in the first place.

=< That really isn’t fair at all and they should absolutely not hate on a game just because of one level. It’s just nothing but ignorance. But I’ve actually heard someone who reviewed the whole game call out someone who reviewed this game for only reviewing the first level.
People say this was planktons first playable debut. But he was actually playable in lights, camera, pants! Before this game. While yes he was in a robot suit. That was only done so that he can be seen in gameplay
Lights, Camera, Pants is more of a spin-off. This game is Plankton’s playable platformer debut.

Everything in this game is so creative. I have to respectfully disagree, because I think the aesthetic in Alaskan Belly Trouble makes it the best level in the package. It even has the most serious, creepy, and upbeat music in the whole game (not to say the other levels don't have it too, but this one went all out). Great video Rider!

This game has flaws, but the soundtrack, the variety, the ideas, they are soo good that put this game at the third position of my list of the best spongebob games. I like your review and I understand your opinion.

CFTKK definitely has one of the most creative concepts of any SpongeBob game, but the biggest problem with the game, and I think it goes without saying, is that the levels drag on FOREVER! Marathon Level doesn't even begin to describe the levels in CFTKK. Each level has countless sections and it takes at least 45 minutes to beat each one. The worst of them all though is definitely the Alaskan Bull Worm, which is not only disgusting-looking like you said, but arguably the longest level in any SpongeBob game and a total chore to get through. I get it, SpongeBob's trapped inside a worm, JUST LET ME PLAY A DIFFERENT LEVEL ALREADY!!!!!!
All raging aside, I think of this game as the black sheep of the Golden Age SpongeBob games. It has neither the finesse of BFBB and the Movie Game nor the absurd charming weirdness of ROTFD, but overall when it comes to unique ideas that have never been done before in a video game, CFTKK is one of a kind.

I really hope this game gets a remake or at least just a port to the new consoles. Same thing with the movie game but with many improvements to make the game so you don’t need as many goofy goober tokens, make the order for timed trials optional, have the ring challenges be reworked or have early visual cues, have it be that when you go to a spongeball or combat trial you appear outside the trial.
It would be interesting to see a reimagining of creature from the krusty krab with a design like battle for bikini bottom with a hub world and non linear expansive levels and puzzles/combat challenges made for the specific characters. Same thing for a reimagining of truth or square to be remade how it should have originally be and same thing with the movie game and a reimagining of Atlantis squarepantis with the best elements of the ds and console versions.
Creature from the Krystal Krab was one of my favorite Spongebob games, with amazing music, and the Rocket Rodeo levels were my favorite.

I remember my mind being blown when I went back to 100% complete all my Spongebob games and realizing that there was 3 different routes to beat the final level that I didn't even know about.
I recognise the background on Chester's scenes from "Shopping List", i love that episode.
Honestly one of my top five favourite games of my childhood. Flaws? Yes. Repetitive at times? Sure. But it still holds 1st place as my favourite Spongebob Squarepants game of all time. Best part of the game for me was definitely the “It Came From Bikini Bottom” chapter...

I really love your videos. I appreciate your enthusiasm and respect towards the entire genre of spongebob games. I remember these games being a huge part of my childhood, so it's nice to see someone taking the time to take the time to analyze them and really show why they are cult classics.

The game is amazing, and the game tells you its a dream from the start so you can expect the randomness (when was the last time you have a "normal" dream. And remember the dream level in bfbb,it feel just like this game IMO)

I played hours back in the day. Even though most of those hours where when I was stuck on levels that had such an easy way to finish
Even with a lot of flaws, this game is so good that I completed it like 10 times or more.
Severely underrated! Good gameplay, great music, the characters are hilarious especially Patrick as starfish man with all the great dialogue, the levels are very well designed, I love that it has 3 different ways for you to finish the game judging from your favorite character, and I enjoyed the extra features it had like listening to the soundtrack and seeing the concepts like BFBB and the Movie game, IMO it’s better than Movie game and the last Great Spongebob game and I personally think it was more polished and of course had more time to develop unlike the movie game that I found a semi bore fest of long unfunny levels, the challenges you do in that game too... ugh. Anyway, I hope someday this and the Movie game can be Rehydrated so both sides can be happy because I know my side loves CFTKK and the other loves the Movie game. And Lights Camera Pants! and Scooby Doo Night of 100 Frights! Let’s do it THQ and Purple Lamp! We can make this a long lasting trip down memory lane!
I honestly believe that this game should be the next Spongebob Game to get the Rehydrated treatment.
I can't say I agree with your opinion here. Sure, the levels are really long, but the game is built so that you can put it down at the end of every pause in the game.
Also, I really liked the aesthetic of the Alaskan Bull Worm. Seemed less to me like "You're inside a stomach" and more like "You're in a fantasy."
I played this game so many times that my PS2 couldn't read any of the levels but the first 4, Rooftop Rumble, and Patrick/Plankton's routes of Hypnotic Highway, so that may be skewing my perspective a bit, but it still holds up for me to this day.
Rider I was wondering if you can review the games in the Nicktoons Unite series
I mean sure the music is godly, otherworldly, or whatever terminology you want to use and honestly maybe I am a bit nostalgia blind but still never before or since have we seen a licensed game THIS imaginative THIS willing to experiment with the formula yeah the levels do drag on and yeah the racing is never actually racing instead just “cross the finish line without letting time expire” but honestly that just helps make this game truly unforgettable... for better or worse this is one of the best spongebob games ever made and certainly one of the best licensed games ever made. (And again I can’t stress enough how incredible the music is it’s been stuck in my head for 15 years now and hasn’t left since

I have this game. I like it. The Alaskan Belly Trouble Level would have been better if it had less yellows, greens, and oranges and more pink and red. And those wenches can go to hell (motion controls). Also, the theme for that level constantly loops with no variation. Running away from the giant patty was my favorite part. The soundtrack for that level is a remix of "Grass Skirt Chase" from the series. Lastly, the flying sections were fun but the plane ones got boring after a while. The rocket was more fun because of the music and visuals.
This game is not only my favorite Spongebob game, but my favorite game of all time. It's a feel good game for me, I always feel good playing it. I love the visuals, the creativity, the levels, the gameplay, the music, the bonus features, the humor, I love it all!

I loved it and got up to hypnotic highway (still cant beat that level)
Its a weird game with bad graphics and awful motion controls (i had to hit the remote to activate the platforms in the first plankton level)

If I had to choose THE game of my childhood, this game (the gamecube one, that is) might just be the winner. And I still own it. I still remember when I was in vacation and I suddenly remember this game but I was worried that I might have sold it like some other games. Once I got back, I searched for it... And I was really happy to find it again.

Yes, of course! The GameCube version! The version with the jpeg textures, broken models, and no audio in the ending cutscene! Obviously the best version no doubt.
@@Goat0423 Hum... I don't think we played the same version. Mine had full audio all the way and the textures and models weren't great... But neither did the ones from the Wii version.
Although I played the French version so maybe it's different.

Wait...oh wait, actually, that might explain it, wonder if the French version is PAL, the PAL version didn’t have the audio bug. What that version still does have is crappy textures.

Imma be honest. Creature from the krusty Krab is my least favorite Spongebob Game. It doesn't even seem like a Spongebob game tbh
The weird nature of the game is what makes it different from the rest and feel fun.
In my opinion, I feel like the different gameplay was actually something that I think enjoyed. I love Super-Sized Patty and the two Flying stages. Battle for Bikini Bottom actually gets kinda repetitive during the final third of the game. The movie video game was shorter and tried different gameplay mechanics, so I wasn’t as repetitive. I love the content after beating the game. I love the content Battle for Bikini Bottom and the Movie video game leave for you to but I feel like it gets to a point where it gets annoying just to do it. But I completely agree with you on both Spongebob levels. They both go on for too long and don’t feel very fun. But I really do like Patrick’s level. Feels more like an open world during 1/2 half. I really do like the music, and I love how it feels different from a normal Spongebob game. It’s a nice breath of fresh air. But I still think the movie game is better than this game and Battle for Bikini Bottom.

Ya know if they ever remake another Nickelodeon game I hope that they can possibly remake Nicktoons Unite. The reason why is because next year will be the year of 2021: the 30 year anniversary of Nickelodeon! So I feel it would only be right if they can remake that specific game to respect I guess you can say the Nicktoons. Some things I think they can fix about the games is the music. They were trying to go for a more jazzy feel to the game and I think if they make jazz more related to the tv shows I think it would work great! But then again compared to everyone else I dont mind the music at all so if they didnt change it I wouldnt be mad. Another thing is the control's. I'm sure if they remake this game again the controls will be a whole lot better (hopefully cause it sucks lol) and if they can make the graphics just as good if not better than rehydrated than the game would be beautiful! And if they can fix the flaws in the game (check out Fred5107 to know what the main flaws are) that would be great to! And it would be cool if bonus items were included like goddard letting you buy more things other than upgrades and more references to the 4 cartoons and maybe from other cartoons to! And some new features that they can use is replace Spongebobs karate gloves with 2 spatulas, make the levels more atmospheric, give the items you collect a cool and nostalgic design, and maybe a bonus thing that I think would be really cool is have you collect cards in all 4 worlds that are characters in other nicktoon shows that way they can recognize all the other shows! What do ya guys think?
And also it would be cool if they put cut content in the game and make the concept art appear in the game and instead of them sometimes adding dialogue and sometimes not the ones where they do have them talking they should make those like actual cutscenes. Also I would rather them not add references to modern SpongeBob and Fairly OddParents because people would like it better if it was old instead of new and people recognize the old episodes more and a double jump would be nice as well as new and better sound effects and bonus minigames and other cool stuff! All in all they should just do the best they can do to make this game AMAZING!

I totally agree with this vid. I'm not usually bothered by stuff considered repetitive,hell i've never found assassin's creed 1 repetitive. A game known for its repetitiveness. Though i will acknowledge that this game is very creative.
