Just a quick note to add to your excellent production. When you were filming Curly's grave marker, you were standing behind the grave of his parents. Shemp, Moe, and Curly's parents are buried in front of their youngest son at Home of Peace. Please keep up the great work!

When I was a kid (50s), I heard Curly deliver the line, "I hear footprints". Don't know the title of the film but I laughed and laughed when he said it. Still today it brings a smile to my face when I recall that hysterical moment.

I will never forget going to see Curly and Shemp at Home of Peace. I called an acquaintance on my cell phone (this was before the iPhone) and she gave me the approximate location of where to look. Row after row of graves I searched until I finally found Curly's grave. I was filled with a sense of awe. The words "Nyuk, Nyuk, Nyuk" were spelled out in stones on his grave. There were also pennies, spoons and a few other things.
I felt as though I was visiting the grave of an old friend. I wish I'd had some flowers, anything to give to him to pay my respects.
Going into the Mausoleum, I got a bit lost searching for Shemp. Thanks to a Hispanic maintenance man, I was able to find him.
Rest in peace Curly and Shemp.

My favorite Curly Howard, 60 years after his death he still making people laugh with his childlike persona. One day I was in my kitchen and I heard my 8 year old grandson laughing his lungs out, I go to investigate what was so funny, he was going thru my collection of thousands vhs tapes and found my collection of the three stooges and started watching them, he borrowed all my stooges collection and he likes so much that after two years he hasn't returned my tapes.

By coincidence I ended up here on this channel and after watching one episode I wanted to see them all, it has become some kind of addiction but never during the day I usually watch watching after 11 o'clock at night then donate I take a glass of wine for myself and? yes I have to admit "I enjoy" all these episodes, so now 28 pieces viewed and it remains fascinating !!
Here in the Netherlands there is not enough space so in some municipalities you will be excavated after 15 years and others only after 20 years and then what is left of the deceased will be destroyed.
The next of kin, if they are still alive, are usually informed that the grave of their loved one (father, mother etc.) has been cleared and if you want the stone, if you do not want it, it will be usually destroyed.
Fortunately, there are also cemeteries that have been designated as a monument and indeed some of these unique cemeteries even have my ancestors buried.
Oh by the way, I try to get others to watch this channel too, well yes death remains something mysterious isn't it?

A lot of early Hollywood heavyweights in today's video. It's always awesome to see & learn about the people who built Hollywood up from behind the camera. So many of them died in tragic circumstances though. How sad, especially the Warner Bros. It's terrible what fame & money does to some people. Jerome "Babe" Curly Howard. There will never be another like him. I always loved him on the 3 stooges; he was the face of the group. May he rest in peace. There is a biopic about the stooges that I seen that was quite interesting call "The Three Stooges" with Michael Chiklis playing Curly Paul Ben Victor as Moe and Evan Handler as Larry and John Kassir as Shemp. Recommend watching it. :)
