Totally. I don't mind people come from across the world, especially for a better life and to send to their family. But come fairly and become a citizen.
If anything, change the citizenship so people don't have to cheat the system. I have a family member who is from the Caribbean, lived in New York, but I heard he was deported to Canada.
They say it's very difficult for people to come here because of that. But I can understand why many try to avoid going through the hellish process.

Every hour of migrant labor is flipped for a profit. Those billions of profits off the backs of undocumented migrants are spent by business owners in the form of higher income spending in nice real estate, nice cars, investments in the stock market, etc. The taxes paid on high income spending fund our entire national defense and trillion dollar a year Medicare system. So you're welcome is what we should be saying to migrants who come to WORK in 110 degree heat agricultural fields and in meat processing plants So that we all have food on the shelves of our supermarkets that don't cost triple the already high prices.

Shame on our leaders in authority for taking bribes, looking the other way. I don’t feel sorry for these immigrants, because in the mid nineties, they came here illegally, taking African American citizens jobs, and other peoples of color. The same sex groups and nonprofits, came into our underserved communities, being the foreclosed houses that grandparents left to their children. All these black Americans were placed in state operated housing complexes with high crime rates. @@felixf4378 They do if they have to and many do have to. The more people that do it causes an issue with supply and demand. My older brother did it on the side for extra money. He stopped when the competition got so bad that it wasn't worth the time anymore. The simple fact is if it pays enough people will be willing to do it regardless of the job. However, if a business has been built entirely off of cheap labour and hasn't kept up with the advances in other industries, meager increases in pay isn't enough to attract. Meanwhile, the business probably can't just increase pay and employee perks enough right away to justify ppl switching to that job because of how the business model was. U have to build and maintain a labour pool and if u destroy that pool than expect pain to rebuild it.

I get that making it very difficult to survive once they get here is supposed to be an incentive to keep them away, but the majority of those people aren't going to have access to media outlets here in United States that talk about all of these deterrents that are in place. So they have no idea what they are getting themselves into, but by the time they get here they might not be able to go back safely either.
The inconvenience and danger that things like these illegal mopeds pose to regular citizens, are an unintended consequence, but they show you that what we are doing right now isn't the right way to do address this problem either.
Our government should be doing more to help and/or pressure these foreign governments to improve conditions in the home countries that these people are fleeing, instead of punishing these people for trying to escape danger. Removing the incentive to leave their home countries in the first place will be the best way to decrease how many people try to come to the USA

Why are we allowing them in when you dont even know if their asylum application will be rejected? Its like hiring someone prior to getting their background check back. What happens when their application is rejected and all this money was already spent to house and feed them. Just seems very backwards. I personally find it interesting how kids have to be fully vaccinated for the safety of the public to attend school and these migrants dont. Teachers already feel overwhelmed. How are they going to deal with this influx and language barriers. They havent even done background checks on them at the border which they should have done before allowing them in. How we have spent millions of dollars on resources to help them but we cant help our vets or our homeless. How many other migrants have come with nothing and have had to pay for documentation and lawyers with money they earned from WORKING! While these people lay on the streets waiting for their hand outs of free housing, food and a monthly check. My other thing is, do you think it will raise the cost of rent once all these thousands of migrants leave the shelters?? More people, more demand for housing that isnt even really available.

The people who are actually undocumented and illegally crossing are "catch and release" and shipped back to Mexico the same day they are caught because it's too expensive to process their deportation through a formal hearing process. The fraction of a fractionm who qualify for TPS application are these 110K that the Texas Governor very clevverly decided to send only to NYC and not the dozen other cities in Republican states who already take in plenty of undocumented workers every day and employ them in Republican owned agriculture and meat processing businesses all across the red states. They all need workers NOW. So why didn't the Texas governor ship them all there? Becuse he's using these 100% documented assylum seekers as political pawns.

A lot of those people are running from governments that crack down on criminal behavior. Those people run here. They are used by the worst of the worst to harm innocent people and there are no repercussions for them. Whatever they do, it's a free ride. They will always have a roof over their heads. I wish Americans would have fought harder for what their forefathers gave their lives for. Even in modern day when Soldiers are deployed to tackle threats that most Americans don't even think about, the citizens back home didn't defend their home. They allowed crime to get out of control, they failed to defend our borders, failed to hold up the standards. We are being dismantled from within and our enemies know it. American citizens are left defenseless and most Americans don't know it yet. The worst is yet to come.

The government has no GNIKCUF idea who these people are! 🤨 My wife was waiting for the traffic light to change when someone rear-ended her. Two years is nothing. I worked at U.S. Immigration in the detention in deportation unit, as well as the naturalization unit. Back in 1994 the expected wait for migrant to enter legally was approximately 40 years and that's if you made the cut off before 9/11 doubled the expected wait. It's now close to 90 years wait unless you have a spouse, parent or sibling that is ALREADY a U.S. Citizen. Not a lawful permanent resident, they must be a full citizen. The ONLY exceptions are for professional athletes, celebrities, wealthy investors, visa lottery winners or people holding advanced degrees in high paying sectors whose employers have made a pre-arranged commitment to employ them immediately upon arrival. But 99.9% of the jobs in America that needed to be filled ASAP are not for these high paying jobs, it's for hard physical jobs in agriculture, meat processing, restaurants, hotels, elder care and home construction during a housing shortage.
And by the way the majority of people we saw deported were not criminals. In fact drunk drivers, burglars, drug dealers were typically picked up on a detainer from the state and county jails and nearly all were valid U.S. citizens.

If someone is knowingly letting them use their identity to work, they as well should be charged. There need to be consequences. Just take a look at the comments and how many people went through the proper and legal ways of applying to enter, paid all fees, and waited their turn. The government spending $10k per person is absolutely absurd. They say there aren't enough resources to help citizens but have the money for this? It's a slap in the face to citizens who aren't getting the help they desperately need despite being law abiding.

They prefer poor, illiterate cheap labor for their service industries, who cares if it ruins your city, raises crime and makes it disgusting, think of the gdp! And illegal aliens rights!.

I believe that Congress may not be fully informed about the convoluted and impractical complexities associated with the immigration benefit application process, whether pursued through legal avenues or illicitly via asylum claims. Consequently, they tend to delay action on this matter for extended periods, hindering any potential improvements. Several of these outdated regulations date back over a century, particularly those pertaining to consular applications from abroad, or adjusting status from within the US, which fail to leverage the advancements in communications/internet, data collection, and the surplus of vacant dwellings and ships available in NYC.

Republicans refused to update the broken immigration laws, making legal immigration almost impossible for poor people. Until that changes, illegal immigration will never stop...

So they illegally enter the country and then are "allowed" to illegally work in the state of New York. Fab. 😠 What about those who LEGALLY applied and are still waiting??? I call that cutting in line.

@@653j521Because the democrat party has made NYC a lawless craphole. That's why jobs go unfilled--so low wages can be paid to illegals. Which is why this criminal democrat regime is working to streamline the process of hiring illegals, DUH.

You don't seem to understand the situation here. There are plenty of jobs going unfilled, companies begging for workers, jobs no one wants to do mostly because they pay so little, not enough to support a family. These migrants will gladly take these jobs, but our government won't let them work so that we have to pay to support them temporarily. Does that make sense? No, it does not, but that's why they are stuck being dependent on our tax money.

Amen! It just goes to show you the system is broken. All political. The little Dutch boy has run out of fingers to stick in the holes in the dike. You can solve the political problems of other third world countries by just inviting the whole rest of the world to come here. It won't work. Just ask any native American. I am not native American but I am a natural born citizen of northern and western European extraction whose family at least some branches of it; have been here for hundreds of years going back first to just after the Civil War and then back into the early 1800's and even the 1700's . Never researched my background to know if my people were here before the Revolution or the French and Indian War. Never had the time or money. That is to say if the records even still exist or they ever existed. I am college educated. But because I have a generalized education and relatives with a cultural mindset that amounts to mental illness and fear of success at least in my opinion; I find myself victimized by my family's poor planning and estate lawyers. I am in chapter 13 bankruptcy and work at a fast food place for the last 30 some years as a single woman. I have to deal with all these foreign delivery drivers who can't speak English. I know they can't help who they are. But it is hard to deal with. I live in Pittsburgh in the suburbs. Thank God!

If you give them the right to work then you have to give them the right to vote, and that's the whole reason they let them in to begin with
