That awkward moment when you start craving brains because her cooking scenes just look so darn good, but you don’t know what you’re craving because they switch their brain analog every other week. I mean cmon sometimes it’s shrimp, sometimes it’s chicken or turkey or pork, it’s frustrating to fill that snacks void
Okay, but can we appreciate how open minded Liv's coworker is about her zombieness? His first reaction is to question her choice of condiment to pair with her brain ramen.
My absolute favorite thing about this show is that Rose McIver (who played Liv) essentially got the play a different role every episode. We didn't get stuck with seeing the same character and acting every episode. It was changed up and i learned to appreciate just how good she is as an actress and her range. She's a wonderful 50s housewife, then a white gangsta rapper girl, then a dominatrix. And she plays them all wonderfully and it's so fun to see. You don't get bored with her characters.
Her personality and skill shifts where amazing!!! The concept is great and liv ravi and Clive are so much fun together.... Love especially liv and ravi
The self-awarness of the show is my favorite thing, it was so refreshing. With all the little puns and everything, and really likeable characters, it was so much fun to watch. I recommend it wholeheartedly 😊
Indeed, I like when a show is aware that it's ridiculously over the top, but embraces its craziness. It kinds of reminds me of "Riverdale" Season 1, before it started taking itself FAR too seriously!😣
@Oompa Loompa I wouldn't say all shows do that and I'd argue it was a good way to go out. They could have dragged it out a bit more and most fans would have lapped it up no problem but there was the risk of dragging it out too much for what was going on at which point the only saving grace would be a scene with a certain blonde bitch getting torn apart by a small horde which I wouldn't mind seeing but I found the looming threat way to work quite well too rather than a completely "and all was well" ending
But really iZombie is one of the most well written comedy shows I've ever watched. Although, it started losing me in the last two seasons once it started taking itself too seriously

I feel like the entire Renegade thing didn’t make sense whatsoever, and that they made Chase out to be a bad guy just doesn’t really work because his points are valid and it’s not like he has a choice when the entire world is going through a zombie apocalypse- like that constant “Liv good, Chase Blaine and everyone else that isn’t Liv- bad” thing going on also kinda ruined it for me
@@sploomfussy I think Chase was written extremely well as a character. You could tell he was a good man forced into a very tough situation. His first instinct was to spare the old Renegade. But he was pressured by his people to kill her as an example. And the whole time he seemed very remorseful about it. Even in the last seconds telling her "it won't hurt" her being in pain was a concern for him. The city he was suddenly in charge of was at risk of destruction in at least three different ways. Zombie v human war, the outside world nukes them, his leadership is overthrown (that one happened). Even if you look at all the "bad" things he did they all make sense from his perspective. He executed Renegade for going against laws that were clearly stated would result in death, and with good reason the city was already starving making new mouths made the problem worse and could lead to everyone dying. He killed one of Major's squad mates for firing on him, he initially shot the guy's love interest in the gut as a lesson knowing it wouldn't kill her but then the idiot fired on Chase trying to kill him and Chase's survival instincts kicked in eliminating the threat. I think by the end of the season the stress of being in charge and the guilt of his actions drove him over the brink. He started as a very reasonable and likable leader (all of his men loved and respected him) and ended up as a villain after having to deal with a nearly impossible position. When Major takes over we even see the job wear on him and change him though he at least had the framework of not becoming Chase to keep him in line.
Well i mean, it is weird: it's about a zombie girl that takes the personality and has vision of the brains she eats, so she solves case with it. But that doesn't mean it's bad, in fact it's actually very good!
I have not slept for days watching this. The best thing I have seen in years. I don’t even know what the best parts are..the titles, the recipes, the comedy. You cannot even choose a favourite character ( it might be Blaine ), they are all great. I have 2 episodes left, and then I am going to watch it all again.

Love Angie Her name is Liv. And it sounds like it would be spelt “live” as in the action of being alive. A zombie is dead. But her name is the verb “live” but she’s dead
For me the biggest sell of the show is easy, Liv on sexy librarian brains, but the second is the phenomenal banter. The dialog is just lightning fast and razor sharp, an absolute joy to listen to, just behind stuff like Justified and Psyche.
Oh, Liv Moore= Live More! I can't believe that it took me THIS long to figure it out!😁 I actually quite liked this show, as it was quirky in the best possible way!😅
I'm surprised they didn't have even more campy names in the show considering their interview suggested they like doing them. Those are about the only two I can think of, unless you count "Johnny Frost" the weatherman, but that could easily be a fake name on his part, so it doesn't count in my book.

I too I like the idea of them making a zombie as the real main character, I loved the Warm Bodies sooo much that I watched and watched it again in one cinema crazy, so I gave this one a shot.
@@Oku_yappin well spoiler alert, he isnt really alive per se, he is a zombie trapped inside a well, which was the exact same fate he bestowed to his own father (which is a much as a jerk as he is). I think trapped in a well is a more servere punishment than instant relieve of death.
@Igbo Thunder So have you even watched the show or you're basing your opinion off this video? It's a great show, well written and well acted, and I'd recommend it to almost anyone. This video makes it look pretty lame and terrible, but judging a show off it's pilot episode is never a fair assessment since most shows take a few episodes to really find their rhythm. Maybe give it a shot one day and see what you think.
Dude. You left out how she gains the habits of the person who was her lunch. Like in that episode she became a kleptomaniac and stole that stuff that was bright red. Like fake eyeballs and a snow glob.

@@CTahmid Sometimes shows dont know if they get another season and so they end with something that seems like a cliffhanger that then quickly gets resolved in a epilogue. Castle ended that way too.
Basically the show is a crime solver comedy with a zombie posing as a psychic. It also throws in romantic relations and drama, but the show is very fun to watch. Vampire Steve is definently my favorite and Ravi is my number 2.
Wait, wait, wait...there's a character in this called Vampire Steve? When I had Netflix, I had this show on my queue for ages but I never got around to watching it. Had I known there were Vampire Steves in it, I'd be all caught up by now.

Mine too, I loved how Ravi and Liv had a strong, platonic friendship, with no hint of romance between them, stemming from the fact that he was the first one to discover her secret!❤😀
To be honest, this is one of the best shows I have ever seen. It might seem weird on the surface but the last 2 seasons especially are brilliant. The insights from them connect so well to some real life public health issues. It is purely self aware show, with some excellent logic in context of its universe. And could be analysed using so many perspectives that would actually do it justice. I absolutely admire the show. I hope you had an opportunity to watch it till the end.
You missed her last name, Moore, as in live more. She's a zombie who's called Live More. Took me two episodes to figure that out though. Also, that one episode where she eats a dominatrix's brain.

It's so great, I loved seeing stuff like CSI but in tbe UK we were always way behind. This has that mixed with supernatural stuff and great dark comedy too. I'm not so keen on how it ended, but they did manage to pull thr last series together more than I expected they would. I'm looking for shows to watch, any recommendations? One of my favourites is the original Being Human series which might appeal to people who like izombie, there's only one zombie episode bht it's about vampires, werewolves and ghosts mainly.
Also I love how this show didn't go on forever some shows just go on to long when there is no need for it. It makes the show boring after awhile that didn't happen with izombie and I'm happy it didn't.

I just finished the series today and its an amazing ride from S1 to S5, even the ending felt rushed it still an awesome show. Rose McIver as Olivia Moore is just perfect casting.

iZombie was a great show, but it's kinda crazy how much the show changes from start to finish lol. The early seasons are about her solving crimes by eating the victim's brains, but the later seasons are about zombie wars & an entire city in lockdown.
@Ava Wilson See, I like TWD because it's not plot driven, It's character driven. The focus is not on the dead, but on the living and how they learn to co-exist with the dead. They don't make the zombies scarier than they need to be, like some other movies/shows. And in later seasons, they aren't even the main threat; other people/groups are. I love this aspect because it's realistic. It's kind of like the things we learn about in history class, you know? Two groups want the same things and one isn't interested is negotiating while the other wants to avoid major conflict. So either they fight or one of them bends to the other's will. And then the must weigh the costs and benefits of each option. Give up what they want or fight it out. If they win, they get what it was they desired but then they risk the other group coming back later and attacking out of vengeance. If they lose not only will the other group take whatever it is they were fighting over, but the time and resources used in the battle would have been for nothing. Not to mention that there will be a loss of lives for both sides no matter who wins. So then they must ask themselves: which is worse? To fight and lose or to concede and not only have to live with the lingering "what if?", but also appear weak and easy to push around (a very dangerous way to be viewed in this type of environment). So they make a choice and hope they don't grow to regret it. And if they do, then they have to live with it for the rest of their lives. I love this dynamic. Now with all that being said, I understand why it could be boring to some people. I get it. You prefer stories with a stronger plot, which tend to move faster, while I prefer one's with stronger characters, which then to move slower. Every show has a bit of each, though they tend to lean towards one more than the other. Or maybe you just don't like TWD. That fine to. After all, if everyone liked the same things the world would be a very dull place to be. Edit: I apologize for making this so long. I swear I didn't plan to.

The thing I loved about iZombie is that I feel like it really did something new for the zombie genre. Especially with stuff like The Walking Dead having re-started the zombie craze, I just loved how iZombie's take on the zombie thing was just so fresh and new. Especially in the later seasons. I haven't finished the series yet, but I've enjoyed everything I've seen so far! I even met Rose McIver this past weekend at Dragoncon and she was just a friggin delight.
I kinda hoped you would go into the whole plot of the first season where there is a goddamned brains-dealer walking around town supplying the other zombies with fresh brains. It just definitely knows how insane it is, I love it.
I started watching it 4 years ago and it is my favourite show and I will never get the ending I want I have watched the show multiple times over now and still cry at the end of season 5 every time
If you want to talk about slow, I watched the entire series and it took me until the very last episode of the series to realize. Not my proudest moment
I loved the first season of that show and then the second season... when they were searching for the origins of that ancient spider thing she coughed up... my interest dropped.
There was an episode where Ravi explained to someone the show "Zombie High" (the iZombie universe's version of iZombie). About how self-aware it was, how they'd contrive to have the villain take his shirt off but nobody minded as everyone was in on the joke and the guy had a great body... cut to Blaine taking his shirt off for some contrived reason. Loved it.
I wish this series never ended but at the same time I understand. It was so nice to see Aly from Aly and Aj back on the screen though. PS: I loved the theme song though.

I have not slept for days watching this. The best thing I have seen in years. I don’t even know what the best parts are..the titles, the recipes, the comedy. For me the biggest sell of the show is easy, Liv on sexy librarian brains, but the second is the phenomenal banter. The dialog is just lightning fast and razor sharp, an absolute joy to listen to, just behind stuff like Justified and Psyche.

I'm surprised they didn't have even more campy names in the show considering their interview suggested they like doing them. Those are about the only two I can think of, unless you count "Johnny Frost" the weatherman, but that could easily be a fake name on his part, so it doesn't count in my book.

This video makes it look pretty lame and terrible, but judging a show off it's pilot episode is never a fair assessment since most shows take a few episodes to really find their rhythm.

Basically the show is a crime solver comedy with a zombie posing as a psychic. It also throws in romantic relations and drama, but the show is very fun to watch.
Vampire Steve is definently my favorite and Ravi is my number 2.

Mine too, I loved how Ravi and Liv had a strong, platonic friendship, with no hint of romance between them, stemming from the fact that he was the first one to discover her secret!❤😀

To be honest, this is one of the best shows I have ever seen. It might seem weird on the surface but the last 2 seasons especially are brilliant. The insights from them connect so well to some real life public health issues. It is purely self aware show, with some excellent logic in context of its universe. And could be analysed using so many perspectives that would actually do it justice. I absolutely admire the show. I hope you had an opportunity to watch it till the end.

It's so great, I loved seeing stuff like CSI but in tbe UK we were always way behind. This has that mixed with supernatural stuff and great dark comedy too. I'm not so keen on how it ended, but they did manage to pull thr last series together more than I expected they would.

See, I like TWD because it's not plot driven, It's character driven. The focus is not on the dead, but on the living and how they learn to co-exist with the dead. They don't make the zombies scarier than they need to be, like some other movies/shows. And in later seasons, they aren't even the main threat; other people/groups are.
I love this aspect because it's realistic. It's kind of like the things we learn about in history class, you know? Two groups want the same things and one isn't interested is negotiating while the other wants to avoid major conflict. So either they fight or one of them bends to the other's will. And then the must weigh the costs and benefits of each option. Give up what they want or fight it out.
If they win, they get what it was they desired but then they risk the other group coming back later and attacking out of vengeance. If they lose not only will the other group take whatever it is they were fighting over, but the time and resources used in the battle would have been for nothing. Not to mention that there will be a loss of lives for both sides no matter who wins.
So then they must ask themselves: which is worse? To fight and lose or to concede and not only have to live with the lingering "what if?", but also appear weak and easy to push around (a very dangerous way to be viewed in this type of environment).
So they make a choice and hope they don't grow to regret it. And if they do, then they have to live with it for the rest of their lives.
I love this dynamic.
Now with all that being said, I understand why it could be boring to some people. I get it. You prefer stories with a stronger plot, which tend to move faster, while I prefer one's with stronger characters, which then to move slower. Every show has a bit of each, though they tend to lean towards one more than the other. Or maybe you just don't like TWD. That fine to. After all, if everyone liked the same things the world would be a very dull place to be.

The thing I loved about iZombie is that I feel like it really did something new for the zombie genre. Especially with stuff like The Walking Dead having re-started the zombie craze, I just loved how iZombie's take on the zombie thing was just so fresh and new. Especially in the later seasons. I haven't finished the series yet, but I've enjoyed everything I've seen so far! I even met Rose McIver this past weekend at Dragoncon and she was just a friggin delight.
I kinda hoped you would go into the whole plot of the first season where there is a goddamned brains-dealer walking around town supplying the other zombies with fresh brains. It just definitely knows how insane it is, I love it.
