Pro tips from a Florida native… don’t fill the bags as much and stagger them. I noticed you guys were putting them 1 on top of the other and if you stagger with less filled bags and wiggle them around a bit you’ll create a tighter seal. Sounds silly but it really does make a difference.

I’m just happy to see you guys still being silly and goofy while you work your way through the flooding, and I’m looking forward to seeing what you guys get up to after the waters subside. Old timers say it never really happened before about 1995 or so. Had a TRUE 4.5ft on my driveway. As bad as it looks and feels for yall I think yall are in a decent position flood wise as long as it dont rise another 1ft or so. Smart move on the sandbags. Sandbags were a lost cause for us. we needed a dam..lol.here the water usually rises for about 3 to 4 days after the storm is gone. anyways thanks for the update and hopefully the water starts to receed soon

In the Netherlands we build Dijks for that problem our country is Famous for the fight against water easiest solution is build a dijk around the compound with a way for the water to go around it you can make a ditch filled with gravel so the water seeps into the ground instead of rising in front of the dijk its a bit complicated but i hope it helps greetings from Holland 💪

Top tip for filling sand bags quick. Get a road cone and cut the pointy end half off, this way you can put the bag in the middle and fold the edges over. Then get another cone and cut the pointy end down by 1/4, turn it round to place the pointy end in the bag and throw the sand in through the big hole of the upturned cone.

Let's not forget the reasons for nature -disasters like this : people .... only people .... all of those cars we drive, create emissions and mess up the climate, so we end up with this kind of stuff.... sadly it won't stop just over night... :(

St Johns River flows north.....:-) Cause of flooding is the water that was dumped in the watershed area of the St Johns. St Johns is the one of the slowest moving rivers in the country....so water does not flow northward to the ocean quickly....

Imagine going through this if you weren’t a millionaire?! Like 95% of the state. I mean having people drop off trucks for you at the airport so you can have a nice ride home! holy shit! talk about a dream life! Like he’s the President or something. I wouldn’t bitch for one second. Well other then my gfs face looking like a pug and calling my house her house.

Idk if you have insurance, I hope you do, but take it from someone who is still recovering from Ida. Get in touch with a lawyer, insurance companies are folding and declining claims to this day because of the amount of damage, and Florida is no different. Good luck.

When Colette said it’s 4 feet or 5 feet or more I laughed. it’s not even halfway up the trucks tire so that’s about what 18 inches? maybe 2 feet? Keep exaggerating n profiting of the hurricane.

You probably already think about this, but why don't use a water pump and get all the water across the road... I know it's a lot of water, but it will probably go down just enough. Hate to see it this bad, hope it's all well soon.

With the floor scrubber, you might have better luck if you remove the front squeegee or cut bigger holes in it. There are also shop vacs with pumps that go on them so they self-empty liquid as you are sucking it up.

Great attitude considering it's gotta be pretty sad seeing everything you've worked so hard for.
Hopefully the concrete and buildings don't have to much damage.

Nothing like profiting off a hurricane I’m sure this will be deleted though. I love the dad hat and the mustache. if you can’t grow a beard just don’t grow any facial hair.
