This Hit us really close to home guys. Just want to say thank you for the support. I believe anybody who watches us would have done the same thing if they had the proper resources. These people are going to need help for the next few months if not years to come. If we find a charity we trust and that we know the money will go to the people I will let you guys know.

I really respect you for that. What you're doing shows the kind of person you really are, I remember the Bible saying that the Lord doesn't look at the outside of a man, but on his heart. You have a good heart. As a man of God I'd like to say, trust in the Lord, He'll never fail you or let go of you , even if you let go of Him.

Im gonna take a guess and think you got water in that trucks transmission..... Small price to pay in the grand scheme of things. You're a good man JH. I wish the rest of our society would realize that cooperation and collaboration IS the true human nature. Not this dog eat dog, gimme my mansion BS narrative they tell us is a valid social/economic system....

@@davefroman4700 actually no. The transmission always shifted kinda funny on that truck and even had a check trans light come on a few times before. I guess it was just on its way out. We checked the fluid level and it was clean. No water. Fluid smelled pretty bad

Definitely. If he filmed the distraught folk getting rescued, it would look cheap and id of lost respect for him. To get views off of someone's vulnerability, that has just been devastated by a tragedy is pretty low. I don't even watch the news when they show that stuff.

Exactly this. There is nothing worse than seeing someone shove a camera in someones face and ask "You have just lost your whole life and don't know if your friends and loved ones are okay. How does that make you feel?"
This was a very respectful video, showing the aftermath without exploiting people.

As an Arcadia native, I have lived most of my 72 years there, and only recently moved to North Florida.
I have never seen flooding there in DeSoto county, Myakka, and North Port anywhere even close to the severity of this in the wake of Ian.
It is indeed a disaster that has forever changed countless thousands of lives.
Much praise and kudos to JH and the crew along with Garret and James and crew.
Desperate times indeed call for desperate measures, and in times such as this stout hearted men step up, to give a hand up.
JH, I appreciate you wisdom and consideration to protect the dignity of those that you rescued by not recording them while they were at what is probably the lowest point of their lives. A TRUE HERO.
    God bless you all.
Every one in that area is much in our prayer.

JH, I gotta say dude, Florida man to Florida man, this series of videos has shown the man you are more than ANY video you've ever put out. I'm up in the Jacksonville area and we were basically unaffected by the hurricane outside of wind and rain. This city has been blessed to avoid these storms over the last few years. As a man who's lived this area of Florida his entire 31 years, I've never seen something as devastating as Ian wreck the home state. Thank you(and Justin and Drew) for being humble enough to lend your machines and services and time to rescue our fellow Floridians. And for being a smart youtuber that doesn't shove a camera in the faces of people who have gone through something so devastating. You're a true hero to those that were stranded and they'll never forget the dude on the air boat/ army truck that got them out. Much respect to you both, sirs. Much respect.
Note to everybody: If you're ever given a platform, THIS is how you show who you are and what you're about. Just be a decent human and be willing to help when you have the means to do so. It's NOT a dog-eat-dog world. Just help your fellow man, or woman.

You're an absolute legend JH, no doubt about it.
I've been through floods in NZ and bush fires in Aus but nothing like what you've shown here. So telling of your character to not record the rescues and you're so right, the last thing those families need is a camera shoved in their faces.

Im from Cape Coral and seeing this brings it all back. We got nailed head on and we were lucky in our area. Im saying this with hurt in my heart I lost a friend on pine island. We have a strong community that did nothing but help like you down here. We ran on a generator for 13 days straight before power came back up. Those linemen are some bad ass hombres. I have been through 5 major hurricanes in my 45 years in FL. This was by far the most devastating eye opening experience yet. God Bless you all for being the help people needed right then and there. Your blessings will be remembered for the rest of their lives believe me.

Guys I’m not a Florida resident ( yet anyway) but I do have family ( including my oldest son ) and friends there they all made it through with no issues. But I have gone through several large destructive hurricanes over my life here in my home state of Virginia. We only get hit hard every 5-10 years it seems but when they do come up the Chesapeake bay they hit us hard and we on the coast and even inland some have to deal with flooding and huge power outages. I’m lucky I’m the fact that my skill set is very extensive and I’ve always been able to keep my homes safe with all the creature comforts that we have so become used to and have always had my family and friends that aren’t as blessed with me through these time and because of my skills Ive been able to go out and help others as you and your crew did ! I truly appreciate and respect your efforts and care for your fellow American weather you know them or not ! If more people in this screwed up none caring about one another world we have allowed were like you and your crew / friends we could actually be the great nation United as one that we are supposed to be by our forefathers design ! Thank you for all you do and continue to do people should follow in your example ? Respect ✊ and love ❤ sir !!

I live in Toronto, Ontario Canada.
I have watched a lot very sad video since this happened.
Unbelievable what a lot of water and high winds can do in a short time, hurricanes
change a lot of Good People lives in a instants.
We don’t see a lot of Hurricanes like this one in Canada, but we do get them.
We mostly get the after math of them all in our coastal regions.
Toronto only could see very high winds.
    But nothing like this.
Thank You, for what you’re doing for everyone in Florida.
It doesn’t matter who you’re or where you live, or what you have People need Help!!
    And specially their “Pets”
I Hope when you’re going passed any of those vehicles underwater there’s not anyone in them?
Do you ever check them to see?
I really haven’t been able to Sleep at all since this has happened.
    I ❤ Florida.
And I ❤ Helping everyone where I live in my neighbourhood and communities here in Toronto, Ontario Canada.
I have many new friends and neighbours that are “Snowbirds” from Ontario, Canada and I don’t know if they’re Safe or what happened to their place’s in Florida. I just Hope they stayed in Canada and didn’t go down to Florida, just yet for the fall, and colder weather months until next year.
I have many relatives living in all parts of Florida, and thank goodness they’re all safe.
Their homes were damaged, but they can be fixed.
This hurricane has hurt a lot of people, and all businesses.
Florida will get rebuilt, but it will take time!!
It will be months and years but it will be done.
    Floridian strong 💪🏻
If you all work together and Help each other out in the good times and in the bad times.
❤ 🙏 hugs and Hope for better days to come.
    💟 from DaR in 🇨🇦

Much respect man. Stopping everything at your shop to do this says a lot. Sometimes there’s more important things that need to be done. Good job JH

The community needs all the help and support it can get right now. Glad you were able to help so many families. Thank you for not filming the families as they’ve already been through enough. Much respect to you.

What you are doing to help people is amazing. I have family and friends that live in Daytona Beach area and they have lost cars and a lot of non replaceable family items. I wish I could be down there with you helping out.

Funny thing, this will happen again next year or who knows this, year again. Then it will happen again, and again, and again... For some reason I do not feel bad for them. Yes it sucks, but how many warning and repeats do you possibly need. So that's one reason I would never donate. The only way I would help, is if my company sends me there to bank on the paycheck

@@llamacebu216 I actually have family and friends that live in Florida. They are on the east coast and got hit worse than they were supposed to. They lost a lot of irreplaceable items from water damage

This was an emotional video to say the least. It's nice that those of you that are fortunate enough to have the equipment to help people are helping people. You are quite literally saving lives! It's also great that you have the empathy to respect the people you helped out of a deadly situation. Ian was certainly a devastating storm. It's so sad to think all those low lying neighborhoods are a total loss.

I was down in your area (and Sanibel island) back in March... It is super sad to see the damage and flooding to the area. Good on you to use your time, fuel, and machines to get out and aid local and state officials during this time.
