@@Jason.cbr1000rr I just feels much smoother much quicker and the top speed is definitely increased. The only complaint I have is that it's surges at idle but that's the price to pay for mailing in an ECU opposed to fine-tuning it on a dyno. The surging doesn't bother me though the way that it feels like a rocket ship makes up for it.

@@seay_biscuit so you want a smooth idle is what you're saying. Having a full exhaust (assuming you do) can do that even without a tune.. more fuel than air, do you smell a lot of fuel aa if its a carburettor? Lol . He mustve tuned it like that. I have cams done to mine so yours probably sounds like it has cams and internals done lol.

I just picked up a 2017 GSXR1000, Will bring it to you sometime this summer for some tuning. Hows the reliability on the 17-18's? I know they have recalls on the ecu, Chain+Sprocket and the exhaust valves you mentioned in other videos but the recalls have already been performed according to my local dealer.

I have a 2017 model. If i remove the SET valve will the bike be any louder? I have the Alpha T slip on with stock headers. Love your Videos BTW!
So you can program the oem quickshifter for up and down shifts????? You can do that on the ECU when you flash it? That’s an options is that what you said?

Got a 2018 as well, same exhaust, same intake filter, stock Velocity Stacks, got 192hp.

On my Harley I used a 1 1/4 fly cutter bit to remove the cat. It did destroys the bit.
R6 in the beginning allready burns oil 🤣
Anyways, its not the air flowing over fuel, it's over a thin layer of oil.. Basically did the same things back in the day with 2 strokes mopeds, etc. You dont want everything to be as smooth and polished as you can make it, in the intake. Leave everything intake related a little rough, so oil can attach and create a perfect flat surface.
I have a 2015 Suzuki GSX-S 750 are there any velocity stacks that will work for my bike? Having a hard time finding some maybe ones for a Gixxer 750 since mine has the K5 motor?
Hey Chris I know you've got a ton going on, and I know you've done a dyno run with the M4 exhaust and it was great, is there any chance when you get some time you could do a review/dyno on the M4 street slayer full stainless header and exhaust?

Question: how do you know your flash will be right for my bike if I’m just sending in my ECU and it’s not a custom tune? Gonna be putting an intake/full system exhaust on my gixxer and will need a tune.

I'm curious what these velocity stacks with Brocks exhaust would do! His headers are bigger and more open. I was actually surprised at how much bigger they are sitting them side by side with my Akrapovic Ti. Headers. It's visibly noticeable and my S1000RR seems to have a little more snap with the Brocks system between 8k to 10k ..... the Dragy don't lie and confirmed it. IMO I think both exhaust systems are top notch but both were built to do two different jobs.
Could you do this same setup but with a cs racing exhaust?

You have the K5 engine I would assume it works all the same because it's the same motor
Gsxs1000 is more based on k7/8 than the k5. Same engine but different airbox and throttle bodies

Plus this thing makes way more power 189 than the 2021 double r 185 Led nose light equipped ohlins bouncers on both ends unlike the Dumbed Down non led standard showa version.
If a bike is running too rich will it burn the top of the pistons?
No, that will happen when the bike is too lean. It's called predetonation or pinging. When a bike is too rich it will wash the bores with fuel and/or fuel will run down into your sump. If your oil smell like fuel/gas/petrol you have a problem. Bike will usually smoke black.

I thought the stock bike made 185.8 bhp so only a 4 bhp gain, where did the 179 come from?
Also pointless measuring gains of performance mods while replacing a very dirty air filter, would have been interesting to compare the results of just a clean standard filter and remap alone.

That r6 would benefit more if those two cats were removed. The gsxr lost more power in reality who rides up at that rpm all the time , in my opinion ride ability in the mid rpm is better and not worth loosing 5 horses to gain 9 hp for the last few rpm , looking at the graph it lost power from start to mid dips and then comes up slightly and dip and up is not worth the money , the factory stacks are far better and I bet with the ram air having air frames in it will only get better for the top end rpm .
People that drag race/roll race don't care about mid range my dude
