Showing how specific bolt on parts influence power curves is very helpful in deciding which parts to buy. I also love the race videos with footage in the pits showing all the extra tools, parts, and knowledge it takes to win, but those are more entertainment only.

Great video man the GSXR has always been known for its mid-range advantage, and the Kawasaki for the most part always has top end horsepower advantage from the factory it has been this way since the early 1980s
Ninja could make more with a 'longer' system....that M4 along with that CAT box just kills HP.....however as is sounds 20X better than the GSXR..big bore .Ninjas always have this very distinctive deep roar..especially the ZX10 ! The Ninja will make more everywhere w/ a better exhaust system ..heck that M4 slip could be a Chinese knock-off...they are everywhere.

Both cars line up at set speed and hit it on go. Roll racing is more so to get rid of the variables to see what both cars are capable of without driver error.
I’d take the Suzuki just because I’m a Suzuki loyalist, both my first and current second motorcycle are/were Suzuki. A 2021 DR-Z400SM and a 2020 Katana. The DR-Z400SM is great fun to rip around on, and the Katana is simply a monster of a street bike. Bigtime power from 3,500 up to the 10,000 peak power spot.
really well explained. I try to tell people in forums when you replace the exhaust the bike needs to be remapped because it will be running lean for the cat and euro5, but some don't get it. photos of dyno runs, fuel and air is just easier.

Now I see why I can't keep from mouse-trapping my 2021 GSXR1000R when I reach WOT in low gear. Second gear is not quite as violent, it only rises fast when on cam around 9k rpm. Have to short shift or let off a little there, too. Only 500 miles on mine. Oh, and the Brock's CT Meg and Moore Mafia flash. Thanks for the video, Chris!
I'm thinking that gsxr with that beautiful Brocks CT Mega. is going to give the ZX10 a run for its money! The zx10's have always had pretty good stock headers that makes a slip on upgrade hard to pass up on over a full system! Love both bikes IMO and both have awesome potential to go Stupid Fast!

The information I was able to dig up on stock euro tuned vs stock American tune is based on the fuel. From what found it appears euro gas is different so the bikes are tuned differently from the factory. The bikes aren't any better just tuned differently.
I've seen bikes on the dyno get blown up by not pulling in the clutch quick enough at redline. The dyno is still spinning up faster even though bike is at redline, which over revs the motor and grenades it. Same thing happens with cars if clutch or next year isn't selected quick enough. Gotta be on point or that new bike will have destroyed top end.
Seems like their are a ton more gsxr bikes on the road especially here in Cincinnati. I have a zx6r I want to get a liter bike instead and really like the zx10r

I'll never understand how someone hearing a v4 or v twin and says it sounds amazing can do that in comparing to inline 4s They just sound so much more like a racing machine and just aggressive (instead of a tractor like Vs)
Have you really heard a Ducati LTwin engine or a Aprilia or Ducati V4 with a good exhaust in person? It sounds absolutely monstrous. Inline fours sound good to me only when it's near the rev limiter whereas a V4 or Twin sounds amazing right from starting up.
By far both of the best 1,000 CC sport bikes in the world in my opinion the Kawasaki or the Suzuki pick your flavor based on your riding style and preference.
In 2012 had a full titanium Akrapovic on my ZX-14R the price for the pipe was 3,200$ Canadian, sure it’s the best for performance, the lightest of course, the sounds the looks, everything but also the price because it’s not to many peoples with the will to throw that much just for an exhaust !!!

I believe your showing dyno inertia between the bikes . That would imo indicate rotational weights of the crank / rods if there wasn’t tire slip on the pulls. Given the presented info , I’ll take the Kawa and a couple of sprocket teeth. Great video👍 The dimpled throats should help keep the fuel in suspension and aid in chamber swirl. How did your guy determine height on the stacks?
Mine is .900 inch or 23 mm. from the factory. That one looks like a couple inches to me. I like that you can do that but left mine stock in front and the Brock's window lowering link for about 2 inches lower in the seat. Bike sits level and looks really good there...

Do you do the break in before you start riding the bike like you would after the suggested break in? Or do you just rip it apart, flash it , change the exhaust and race it ? I’m not talking about a track/drag bike .

I'm a gsxr guy and the new mt-07 and 09 are sick.. and have a good price range.. even the 2019s are around 6k-9k depending on the dealer/seller.. which would be 3k-8k cheaper then the gixxee
forget the trans, change the sprocket teeth...these superbikes are so ridiculously over geared for emissions, safety ..go -1 up front, another +3, +4T rear ....you'll feel some serious NEW acceleration. So many owners disregard this simple, inexpensive way to improve acceleration performance. Gives you a 'seat of pants' feel of more HP, performance. Most of these superbikes, ZX14, go nearly 100mph in 1st....gear it down...unless you can ride around above 140+ mph all day. '..cheap performance' gain you won't believe !!!!
@@carlmayer691 Changing sprockets will result in what you're describing. This issue will turn into actual usability after a drastic sprocket change... For instance, a 2014 R1 factory ratio is 17/47. Imagine just how unusable the bike would be for everyday use with 16/49 ratio, 12 o'clock would be your fear every ride. The intentions of the bike would determine if actual Transmission changes or sprocket changes will give the desired results. You can't get a ZX10R to compete with a Gixxer on the Dragstrip without a 1st gear reduction. Simple sprocket changes are not going to get you anywhere near it. Same with Roll Racing, a Gen. 4 ZX10R transmission has been proven to provide better results for the keeping the bike in the powerband over the Gen. 5 transmission in a Gen. 5
I changed my 2016 R1 sprockets several times. The last setup was down 1 on the front and plus 4 on the rear. I would always loose to my buddies 2020 R1 well I put it back closer to stock basically just down one on the rear and now I pull on him. He does weight more than me but you would've thought for sure it would've pulled him with it geared nuts and although it felt quicker it just wasn't. It was blowing through the rpm range way too fast. Real world example there.
@@SkeenDogger You did Rear -1 & stock Front? You guys are racing till the top speed? that's just suicidal on public road. Rear -1 will increase the top speed & reduce acceleration. Not sure what you are doing. Most people gear their bikes for more acceleration not top speed as it doesn't matter on public roads.

Not just the headers....the engine is more powerful just like the gsxr has the best mid range cuz the VVT
Brocks did something like this and suzuki made better power earlier on so it was quicker than the 10 but the 10 made better top end..

Depends what you're looking for.... stunt riding mt-07 easy.. but for daily, rides and knee drags.. 750!
