it will have to go up but be careful that you dont go to far that you dont have the screw at the edge, cuz that will put alot of strain in the screw plus it will have barely enough bite on the threads that it could bend the screw
If i have adjustable levers and I want the clutch engagement point to be closer to the handles bars do I need to adjust the cable or am I able to just use the lever adjustments?
if you want the engagement to be closer then you will have to adjust the cable. the adjustments on the lever is just for how close or far you want the lever has nothing to do with the engagement point. but i do suggest 1st adjust the lever where you feel most comfortable before adjusting the clutch cable.
When I have my bike on a rear stand, put in 1st gear the wheel automatically starts spinning by itself even with the clutch held in all the way (to the handlebar). What do I need to do?
Jake From State Farm nothing that's normal because the engine is spinning that will cause the wheel to spin if u have up on the stands. On the other hand if u Don't have your bike on the stands and your sitting on it and the bike starts to move once u put it into gear and have the clutch held in all the way then u need to adjust the clutch cable by the adjustment nut by the lever.
you will know when you feel your bike start to move with out you giving it any throttle. or if you have your bike on a rear stand you will see the rear tire start to spin
@@ACProductions77 between the clutch handle, and it's purch, use a nickel to get the 2mm measurement. 2 mm measurement would be about 10mm from the clutch handle to handlebar grip.

I just want my lever to be closer to the handle bar to get rid of my wrist pain. Would this adjustment help me with that?
Which way do you turn it to tighten it at clutch end
to tighten its counter clockwise by the engine or by the lever
Hi i’m having an issue where if i don’t have it extra right it’s hard to put in gear and it drags?
you may need to replace your cable or have your clutch pack checked out by a shop
@@ACProductions77 Thanks will do and I’ll update just in case anyone has a similar issue
Hi, do you have free play with these levers? Have the same levers but there is no free play . Absolutely tight
i have a little bit of free play which is ok, as long as you don't have any restriction on the levers you should be good.
If I want to adjust the clutch to engage closer to the handle bar do the nuts need to go up or down?

how do i know that the clutch does not fully close?
you will know when you feel your bike start to move with out you giving it any throttle. or if you have your bike on a rear stand you will see the rear tire start to spin
Just use a nickel to adjust at the purch
you mean to stick a coin in the slot to move it?
