I just bought sped-metal smooth swing arm spools from cycle gear (I think a revzilla partner) in New Orleans and they feel aluminum or steel but they dont have a place to use a hex key or anything, the spools aren't hollowed out, they're solid, and the base of the spool has two flats opposing each other to allow a wrench to be used for tightening them I guess, are all spools meant to be used as sliders or only some? what's the difference if only some are, and should I take mine off if they don't have a bolt that can spin freely inside until tightened down, but rather the bolt is just cast or pressed into the spool somehow

The R3 is one of our more successful platforms and we keep selling more and more parts for that bike every year. These spools are still available along with an arsenal of other parts for both street and track.
for the front you do not need spools to mount on a paddock stand. There is a version of a stand that goes under the forks, and another that suspends the front end from under the steering stem. Just choose the version that works better for you.
Are you referring to the axle nut or the axle? It is tough to answer your question without a better explanation. There is only one "size" offerred for this bike. We do have two variants, one made of Delrin (the spool sliders) and one made of aluminum (spools). They both have the same fastener and mounting characteristics. You should choose the one that better suits your needs. Both will enable you to stand your bike up a paddock stand. The rest is really just your choice.

I don't know what swingarm protector you are talking about so it's very difficult to answer your question with certainty.

Yes. The swingarm on the new bike is exactly the same as the older model
