Chase my man, no one buys this bike and tracks it with the stock fairings on. Anyone who is doing trackdays regularly will use racing plastics from the 675r. I've had my moto2 for a few months, the real struggle with a limited run bike like this is modding it. My previous 4 bikes were all japanese supersport production bikes, modding was so easy to find and the bike was easy to work on. For this bike every solution is kind of cobbled together at this point from the previous daytona, there is still no full system customised specifically for the moto2 that people can buy.

I can’t imagine modifying a bike that’s a collector. Original will increase value! Turning it into a circus car (motorcycle) not so much!

If I didnt already own a Daytona 675 (that's paid off) I would probably be interested in the new 765. But I totally love my old Daytona so spending $17.5k+, I just cant justify it.

i am in the exact same situation i love my black daytona 675 i am ok to pay 5000 to upgrade but anything more than that it’s not worth it.

There’s one in front of my desk at work (Triumph in Manchester) I love this bike, one of our customers bought one and uses it as a workhorse in all weather, personally I’ve got the 2020 765 Street Triple RS 👌🏻
Nice review Chase. I have number 064 and took it out for only the third ride a week ago and that is when I really fell in love with the bike. I will admit it is way more bike than I will ever use or be able to appreciate. I am the guy you talk about who will never take it to the track and bought it for the limited run and because this is the end of the Daytonas. I have an 2010 Daytona and that bike made me a Triumph fanboy. Once I saw that Triumph was actually going to release the Moto 2, well I just had to have it!
My Triumph speed triple RS '19 is more than enough for every day ride/commuting. I am super happy.❤

hey that's my exit 10! I usually hit it hard about the same spot when heading north. I ride the same/similar loop often to de-stress , turning west on hwy9 though has some really pretty back roads. Bethany and hopewell. Great to see a first ride outside Marietta and on such a beauty. If not for the $$, I'd trade my stripple RS Keep on Chase-in!

I have the Daytona 675 and it is freaking awesome! I cannot wait to get one of these one day. I have no doubt it is beautiful to ride... And there's more power, yay!
one day better be soon. they are limited edition and triumph is only making 2 runs of 765 (1 set for north america, one for europe / asia etc). i've got bike #300/765 N.A.
One thing I don’t like about a lot of bikes is the headlights, when you have low beam on only one light (left or right) is turned on, I like when they have both on all the time
If one only had a year-round pass to Barber... :) Sounds like you thoroughly enjoyed it. Also sounds like Triumph really polished the stone so to speak and left no details untouched. Competitive markets breed this sort of thing, good economies encourage buyers to get them. Let's hope for both for a long time... Gorgeous bike, great engine and chassis response, ergos not for me but whoever gets them will surely have a riot. That's the point! Enjoy!
I went to my local Triumph dealer last Monday and they had one of these in. Looked so good, it was 2nd hand and sold soon as they got it in for just under £15000, awaiting collection. 😍 I’d love one but it would be wasted on me and my riding.

Just an FYI. The engine is a 765 but it is different from all the other Triumph 765 engines. This Plant is unique to the Moto2 as is is a totally redesigned engine. I just picked mine up this past Saturday. AMAZING handling bike! Is it the fastest bike? NOPE! Is it the best handling bike ever on the street? YUP! This is a clone of the actual Moto2 GP bike. The only difference from the actual race bike is, it has mirrors, lights and a different electronics package for the ECU. Mine is an instant collectors item! This is the LAST Daytona forever! GREAT video SIR!!!! Peace.

Was ready to trade my 675R for one of these. But the price is just too much for that bike. Ended up getting a leftover new 2018 CBR1000RR for 12K instead
My thing with this bike is a problem I’ve heard triumphs always have had. Drop it once that’s 4K in damages, due to all the carbon fiber and such. I don’t know, it just seems a bit much.
Put some ohlins and braided lines and Carbon fiber bodywork on that Honda and see where your price tag is. comparing a sub spec Honda to it does not make the bike not worth the asking price. This bike is a track weapon. If you're not using it for that why would you buy one? There are bikes designed for street use. This one is designed for lap times.
R6 + ohlins suspension bits + carbon fibre fairings is probably around $17k. Most ppl get a Ducati if they want a garage queen. Ahh... the days when supersports were under $10k brand new and you could get a decent used one to turn into a track bike for like $4k...
How cool would it be if you stayed on supersports😁 or get an r6 again !? Or get previous gen r6 on the next wrecked bike rebuilds and turn it into a race bike
Is it possible to see an Aprilia Rsv4 first ride some day? Best sportbike I've ever ridden, trying not to be biased because I have one myself
I haven't heard too many complementary things about Triumph with quality control lately. Bad seals on headlights, TFT screens failing, frames cracking etc. I hope Triumph improve with flagship bikes like this one. I like my 2012 Street Triple R, but in the future I'll be looking at another brand with the bad vibes owners are getting over the quality control or design issues from factory.

Like you said, this is a limited production machine. $17K is pretty steep, but only 765 buyers need to pony up for it.
I'm sure the "lesser" Daytonas will be just as fun on the street.
Anyone can buy Ohlins and carbon fiber for any modern supersport, but you can't just buy a numbered MOTO2 machine.
Not a big deal but I was kinda expecting LEDs headlights. The tiger 900 got LEDs as did the 2020 street/speed triple, and the rocket 111 just weird triumph didnt give their most expensive race bike LEDs. 🤔 unless its for weight savings?

Dimos 600cc sportbikes and sportbikes just don’t sell so why would triumph bring it back, it’s unfortunate but that’s how it is. Even 1000cc’s barely sell, they’re just there for racing homologation.
@@gamekeeper687 1000cc supersports are so demanding on the rider the bikes have too much horsepower for the real world outside of the track and they are super expensive to ride obtain and maintain ,the 600 class on the other hand is waaay less difficult to drive less expensive and cheaper when it comes to fuel tires chains and so on
Dimos I don’t disagree, but the market for new 600’s is dead especially here in the uk and Europe (I work in the trade) I can’t comment though for NA. For the price of a new R6 you can get a new Speed Triple RS or MT10 etc, and know what I’d go for.
Chase you have to do a comparison with the MV Agusta F3 800, Also a tripistoni but with the Italian style and power. Hit me up ill let you ride mine i stay in the West Ga area off I-20

idk why pl make a big deal about the new fancy led dash clusters on bikes for the past few years. i could care less! when you are riding, you dont even look at it, ever!
also, while it has a 765 engine, the older gen1 and gen2 675's look way better. ill take my gen2 675 special edition with the blue frame over any gen3 or 765/765 moto 2 any day of the week.
I agree. I got an 08 gen1. I hate that gen3 got rid of undertail exhaust and the headlight doesn't look as good
@@ErrkNjerk that's what ruined gen3, ugly reflector headlights (backwards technology compared to gen1/2), and no undertail exhaust.
also, most racers like the geometry of the gen1/2 over gen3 for the track.

Yet people buy something like a Ducati V4 which is like, 20+K and R1Ms are like 23K and people buy them. So, Yeah, I wish there was a non limited edition bike that I wouldn't be afraid to take to track and on street. But then again, if I had that bike I'd go to track (as now I own an 2019 R1M and take that bike to a track, ride it as my main bike, and From what I could tell that Daytona would be a better street bike than the R1M.....

Well it already sold out months ago.
It didn't sell out. There's one that's been on sale in Saint Louis, Missouri for a few months now. The only reason I didn't buy it is because it only comes with one seat. I ended up buying a Ducati Panigale V2 instead. The Triumph Daytona 765 is still at the dealership. I saw it there two days ago.

The R6 is a proven supersport champion year after year. If not first, there 2nd or 3rd in almost every race, sometimes even 1st-2nd and 3rd place in the same race
For 17,500 you can get a Yamaha R1 17-18 for that brand new

Geez, what did i just watch? This video was painful to watch mostly because of the commentators lack of knowledge about sport riding and or interest in conveying any information that particularly helpful or interesting to a rider whom might actually want to purchase one. Triumph should really do a better job of vetting moto video bloggers. It was painful to watch this bike featured in what is essentially a squid in suburbia riding in traffic and putting this bike in "Race Mode" to do a 150 mph down the interstate. Somebody send this guy to a Trackday.

@@badgerman23 I dont contest the performance. i even mentioned " appearance" " the looks" is bad, not the bike as a whole. The old daytona was better looking than this. This is not a good looking bike, doesnt have anything special, from a look stand point.
