You really need to break the habit of turning to look at people when you talk to them. No one will be offended with you keeping your eyes on the road. Watch your own videos and see what your front seat passengers do when they talk to you; they keep their eyes and head forward.

Actually Lucid really wants the feedback in real time: how the driver perceives what they experience and what they are thinking vs how the Lucid guy is perceiving things. Whilst I am sure that they wish any negative comments would not make it to air, they view that as a price worth paying. Tire noise - yes, that is an issue with EVs, though it seems Lucid may not have gotten the balance 100% here compared to others. What I do know is that when you combine a lack of engine noise with a lack of wind noise (courtesy of the excellent Cd .21), it really allows tire noise to make itself felt unless there is a lot of sound deadening material or a lot of work put into the tire selection design. A bit more work to do, but just about every other aspect of the car is a worldbeater.

This reviewer is ridiculous as far his ability to articulate every aspect of what he’s sensing while driving this car. Honestly I’ve watched and read so many car reviews over the past 25 years and we need more journalists like this in the industry. Reminds me a lot of Harry Metcalfe fm EVO magazine back in the day when he used to give a monthly update of his fleet of cars. His YT reviews are similar though they are concentrated around ICE vehicles.

Didn't really have much to criticize - for its intended audience its tuned *nearly* perfectly. I would like to see it quieter especially in the back seat, perhaps a thinner steering wheel, and perhaps more adjustability from the suspension but I think especially for a coil system they took the right compromise. Really enjoyed this car and it's truly impressive!

Yesterday I Saw the Air out in the wild, in Johns Creek, Ga, and it's the most beautiful and rich looking car I've ever seen. It truly looks like a million dollar car, but one that can be a daily driver. The paint color, bronze/gold and gray top is outstanding.

It's so relaxing to listen to the stream of words in perfect tempo and so packed with information and very little fill out words. I had no idea what he was saying half the time but boy did I love this review. I've never seen/heard this type of review before but wish others would incorporate it more. Get a mixture of "we go fast" with the heady detail of the drive, etc. Great job.
To be fair to him, some people really don’t like being on camera. He’s just been showing the car off and then a group dive in with a load of cameras and start talking.
He knows the product is overpriced and outdated even before it's release. He's just going through the motions and picking up his paycheck while the company is still in business.
There could be a lot of possibilities for his personality. Could be camera shy, could just be there as a guide-when questions are asked he'll answer, Kyle could have just told him he'll talk a lot and he can chill. Dave seemed fine though IMO

That someone is producing an electric vehicle with over five hundred miles of range is a real game changer over cars with two to three hundred miles of range as few people travel five hundred miles per day and if they do they need to rest while the the vehicle charges. If a luxury vehicle is being produced now with this type of range then even an economy car with five hundred miles of range will be in a few years as the tech filters down in cost. This is an extremely positive development.

Have you driven the Plaid? I wonder how it compares? My Plaid is really quiet on the highway and comfortable. I understand that Lucid is really a luxury sedan. Not having the ride adjustable suspensions sucks.
I think kilowatt has driven the plaid. The only comments he mentioned was the plaid was too loose in the front when driven hard and needed some tuning. He was much more impressed with the lucid.
One of the handful of things you can't get on the Plaid that you can get on its competitors is rear-wheel steering. It's standard on the Taycan Turbo S and EQS, and on a car of its size, it's absolutely a necessity.
OMG I love the way the Lucid car look. I think it's such an amazing vehicle and I definitely want one in the sometime near future. What better way to back the vehicle I love then to purchase one myself. I think the Lucid group did an outstanding job on this car. Its beautiful, gets better mileage and it was very well designed unlike the Tesla's were it seems that they were more interested in just getting their car on the road. So until then I will just dream about getting my dream in the near future.
After listening to this, I'm glad I've reserved a Grand Touring model. My only concern is the ease and availability of charging. Access to charging is where Tesla has the competition beat. Haven't considered a Tesla because they are a little down market for my tastes.

This car wil be slaughtered by the Mercedes EQS in Europe. Although the looks are better and performance is better although it is expected that AMG will produce a faster model as the one presented at IAA.

It'll be very interesting to see a full review on a production model. Hopefully, that road noise issue can be addressed, at that price point anything less than absolute comfort is really unacceptable.
They already said they will have air suspension. Why would they name it Air and not have air suspension? This is a pre-production car. I think people are going to be shocked at the production car and what it hits on. There is a reason they waited to go into production, and let's just say they crossed their T's and doted their I's . Lucid announced today the official start of the series production of the Lucid Air. Was this a Dream list on Kyle’s part or an accurate assessment of the final product. “We shall see.”
They rolled first car off the line during the event, this is obviously very near to a production model but I'm sure there were improvements beyond this.

This is why we did this, this is what went into that decision, I’ll take that back to the team, this will get better as our car’s software improves over time, etc etc. Not sitting there silent….

I'm not too sure people would want the rep talking more. The rep is there just like any test drive, but people watch this video for Kyle to give an unbiased opinion. I'm sure that rep could talk our ears off.

It'll be very interesting to see a full review on a production model. Hopefully, that road noise issue can be addressed, at that price point anything less than absolute comfort is really unacceptable.
I was hoping this will be the ultimate relaxation highway cruiser - but w the loud interior and lack of air suspension, this is disappointing.
They already said they will have air suspension. Why would they name it Air and not have air suspension? This is a pre-production car.
I think people are going to be shocked at the production car and what it hits on. There is a reason they waited to go into production, and let's just say they crossed their T's and doted their I's .

I’m just a little surprised they would show a pre-production version of the top model and have it on springs? I would imagine air suspension is standard on a car called Air?
Impressive review.
Lucid announced today the official start of the series production of the Lucid Air. Was this a Dream list on Kyle’s part or an accurate assessment of the final product. “We shall see.”
They rolled first car off the line during the event, this is obviously very near to a production model but I'm sure there were improvements beyond this.
Rawlinson said the company is "pushing like crazy" to meet the benchmark number of 577 deliveries. 😐
