- In this video I describe the issue I'm having with my right jog wheel. Please let me know in the comments if anyone has this problem as well and how or if you were able to resolve it.

\\*UPDATE*// Thanks for the comments everyone, good to know I wasn’t the only one with this issue.
So, I contacted Pioneer and they sent me a repair order, I just picked up the Rev from the repair shop, super nice fellow and he replaced the lower/inner platter (white ring w/ the tab that connects the vinyl to the motor) and the lower slip rings. (0:33 in the video)
It seemed better when he had me test out at his shop but when I got it home I realized the problem is still there. So at this point I’m going to contact Pioneer again and see what they say.
For now I will lower the torque settings on my platters. I just worry the resistance will eventually cause my motors to fail prematurely.
Same issue but on left side. Getting a replacement for it. I rather both platters to feel even in terms of resistance. I cannot backspin at all on the left side because it’s so tight.
I wish Pioneer would’ve done a quality check on something like this before shipping.
I bought my Rev 7 on 01.10.2024. And now I am having the same issue on my right side. I bought mine from Pro Sound and Lighting. I am going to contact my sale rep there. Then I will contact Pioneer after. Thank you for your video.
The one I bought about 5 weeks ago got this issue, same side, actually. I did not find any solution or configuration. Returned and received a new one. It is working fine.
You’re lucky, I tried to return mines after about 5 weeks of having it also but the store I bought it from said there was only a 15 day return or exchange policy. Guess I should’ve bought the extended warranty 😢
Yes I'm having the same problem identically as you. Except mine is the one on the left that has a lot of resistance. I hope I don't have to get a replacement but it sounds like from you guys that's the only solution.
If you have the ability to do so, that might be your best bet. Repair shop hasn’t been able to resolve the issue for me yet.
dammm im team Rane One but was thinking about jumping to the rev 7 because i want info on the platters BUT dam seeing all these issues ima stay with my rane one
Same problem here. Looks like a return/ replacement is the only thing to do.
Same issue on one I received 2 days ago
Hi there, I also have the same problem my right side jog wheel is stuck just like yours kindly advise me on how to fix this issue🙏🏾
Same issue on the right deck but not a bad as yours…
Damn. I am having the same issue. Just left side. I bought it from sweetwater and i dont know if i can even do anything about it now
Sweetwater usually gives you a 2 year warranty for free when you buy most equipment from them.
I had the same issue - twice. The first time, it happened to my new DDJ-Rev7 out of the box. I sent it back, and they sent me a new one. The new one lasted 3 months before it happened again. I sent the second one in for service, and they told me they would have to replace the entire left platter assembly. The parts are backordered and it may take 6 weeks.
Damn, I had some parts replaced on that platter and the problem persists
@@mike_steezy the third one I have is starting to do the same thing. I'm done with Pioneer DJ / Alpha Theta. Their quality has diminished.
@@DJ-Zerokewl damn that’s ass, this is my 1st Pioneer mixer after spending my whole career with Rane. Should’ve stuck with the tried and true.
Same thing happened today. How to fix it? Warranty passed
Unfortunately, I was never able to get the issue resolved. Had it “repaired” once but still had issues. I ended up turning the torque setting to low the problem platter and just live with it.
Need oil that’s the problem you have to take it apart
Had the same problem.
How did you resolve it?
It has something to do with the air in the room. If it is a little bit cold or most, this might happen. Try moving it to a warmer room and let it sit for a while, then take off the platter and spray the white ring with electric lub, contact spray, then give a go. Please let me know if this works for you
