      Even til this day, no one else has this amount of details for their thoughts on REV 7. Very unique in the thoughts here and provides more insight then the usual immediate reviews of the REV 7! I'm between REV 5 and REV 7, the 3, 4 deck mixing capabilities is lacking on the 7, but I might have to wait till a revamped model of the 7 (maybe REV10?) comes out with that to be really a true open-format DJing experience. lol

    Excellent review! Probably the best I’ve seen on this controller so far. Now this; 9:02 is definitely unacceptable! That would make me pack this thing up and send it right back! Especially for something that cost $2,000 or more!
    But there’s so many other amazing things about this controller that I really like. I would like to check this controller out one day, but for that price point, that’s gonna be a really long time from now.

This video made me make a decision on whether to get the rev7 since it's a new products and there has not been anything like this from pioneer, I wanted to see peoples reviews after using it for a while, and it looks like a very solid controller and I am saving up to get me one 😂

    I loved the TTX deck because of the pitch fader that you could arrange to not be in battle style but that was mainly for ergonomic/rickety back issues.
    The pitch faders in battle style on the rev7 will be a couple of inches closer. So not an issue.

    • @DJjayenvy
      @DJjayenvy ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@bsilentmusic man it’s just depends on what you have at home already and what you are going to use it for. Most of the clubs I play at have s7/s9/s11 and turntables on deck and I have a s7 at home, so if I’m doing a mobile gig and don’t wanna bring my full setup the rev7 is such a good controller to transition in between setup. It’s basically turntables with a s7 mixer. The #1 thing for me between the two controllers is the onboard FXs on the rev7 where as you have to deal with serato effects only the rane 1. It’s not horrible, it’s just not great.
      Now why the rane one is better for some is that it’s built like a tank and the footprint is slightly smaller so it’s good for mobile gig where you have extremely limited space. The rev7 definitely has some quality control issues. The face plate was lifting up bc the glue job was bad. There’s nothing glued on with the rane one. The platters also feels better on the rane one as well. And the rane one is cheaper. I also like that the rane used the basic power cord that you can get anywhere. Good luck finding an oem owner brick for the pioneer.
      If you are already part of the pioneer djm s series eco system, and wanna keep it familiar between setups, get the rev7. If you just want a controller with spinning players and don’t care for onboard FXs, get the rane one and save some money.

      @@detroittrickster3327 There is a slight learning curve to the extra deck control on the S11 but it’s fairly intuitive once you’ve played around a bit. The pre amps had a special sound to them and also had echo out. Pioneer fx and features are second to none, but I wished they’d just pay a bit more attention on quality, no one should have to open up a new mixer or controller because the cross fader is rubbing, even on inexpensive equipment you don’t have to do that, but why would pioneer give a fuck if people are still killing themselves to have the latest gear, the rev7 isn’t for me, I just don’t like the look of it, feels fine, but not my cup of tea, Rane 12’s and a 70 mixer, job done.
