You are an absolute star! I've spent days trying to figure out why I wasn't able to record music from my laptop going into the Maonocaster Lite via USB-C and back out to the laptop for mix recording. I must have watched 10 review videos, but yours is the first one to tell me that you need to enable the Loop Back button for this to work. Massive thanks!! Great quality video editing too.

Only got a little bit of dancing in this one. I was seriously considering playing some metal but didn't want to drive people away too quickly :) I can literally play the first line of a few songs, once i can play the first line I never bother trying to learn any more of a song :) And I agree, the singing was "Gold", Tony Hadley would be proud :)

Thank you Sweeties. i'll be honest, I didn't have too much of an idea about it myself until a played around with it for a while. It is actually a really good piece of kit. I've just it a couple of times to go live on Instagram to test it out and it worked really well.

Wish it had midi input instead of 3.5mm. I purchased one and having a hard time wishing it had a program with it to be able to setup differently but. for $100 it does what it does

I purchased one for fun. This little system is great for pre-record your videos, BUT not going live. Warning! Your music input will not work while live streaming (the sound/music) is faded, like far away; I can't hear it. Live streaming is just for mic, no sound pre installed effects work while live streaming nor does the music input (regardless if it is connected by Bluetooth or 3.55) This was tested on my ticktok live stream. Good for pre-record videos only.

It was great to have a play around with. It's a shame that this version doesn't have an xlr connection but if you're out and about and are happy with the sound quality of the included microphone then it's great. I've used it a couple of times to test on Instagram live and it did the job well.

This should be fine. So you would plug your iPhone into the Maonocaster Lite and plug in the included microphone too and when you record using your iPhone then the sound from the microphone should come through on your phone too.
The sound effects don't work when using Audacity on the computer, can you tell me how to fix this? .What type of connector is needed?

When the effects are active can you adjust the sounds of the effect with the low/mids/highs when talking in to it?
Also if I just bought the unit and not the mic could I use my headset with built in mic I.e my Astro a40s? And if so what port would it go in the headset port or mic 1 port?

As far as I'm aware, you can't change how the sounds sound, unfortunately.
As long as you plug the microphone jack into the Maonocaster then I can't see why it wouldn't work, you should be all good.

Hello there, it wasn't something I tested myself and I no longer have the Maonocaster unfortunately to test it (plus I don't have a console)
I did just find this on Amazon though and someone says it is possible:
Can you hook this into a ps4 controller and if so, how would that be done? I believe its possible but im not sure how, does anyone know
Answer: Yes, this can be use for streaming if that’s what your trying to do. The usb cable would go to the ps4 to the back of the mixer and the Audio cable to the back of your phone and headset either Audio and headset or using phone for both, but for the online players to hear you usb and audio to ps4.
Great review. Our experience of this unit is mixed. Using it with Apple devices, it fails miserably but with a Windows laptop, we had decent results with the audio.
On an iPhone and iPad the recorded audio is gritty, hissy and noisy - plus the 'record' level knob has to be fully turned up for any quality at all. Using it with a Macbook or an iMac, Audacity is out of the question as there are tonnes of droputs plus for some reason, there's a delay which is annoying in the extreme.
On a Windows laptop, we had much better results and Audacity works well here.
It's a pity for us as we had purchased the unit for some remote work and being able to use it with our iPhones would have been ideal.
At £99 it's a decent kit, but simply not for us.

I've just seen that it's available on Amazon for just £69.99 which seems a really good price for it. Obviously not if you've got an iPhone though

I no longer have this i'm afraid so I can't really test it. i'm not 100% sure if it would work. I imagine that if it can bring in the audio from your voice and music to a stream then there must be a way to record your voice into your iPhone with it.
