How to Set Up the Maonocaster Lite AU-AM200 For Podcasting on Mac

- This is a tutorial on how to set up the Maonocaster Lite AU-AM200 for podcasting on a mac. I go through the process of setting up the maonocaster Lite interface, which wires/cables to use, how to play music through the Am200, and how to connect the Maonocaster Lite to your Apple computer. Then I show how to use the Maonocaster Lite to record a podcast in GarageBand. I also show how to use some of the built in effects and even record your own audio samples to the AM200. Thanks for the great walkthrough! I was having trouble with the mic and thought I was doing something wrong but I wasn't. I just had to turn the volume up way higher and wait until the next day when the mic charging indicator full and it wasn't blinking.
You were the best at explaining this in layman's term.

So I purchased this and hooked it to my MacBook Pro.
Everything works except the input volume is low.
I have everything maxed out and it’s low. I even purchased a Rode Dynamic mic to see if it would improve and it does not
The sound effects does not work while I’m streaming live on FB. What can the problem be?

Thank you for this presentation of the Maonocaster Lite.
I am interested in this device, but I do not want to make a mistake and I need your help.
I am neither a podcaster nor a streamer, I just participate in musical Spaces on X (former Twitter) & I want to have a correct sound.
This maonocaster allows you to broadcast but does it also allow you to chat, to hear the other speakers? And if so, which port should I plug my phone into, pod output or usb-c port?

Can you tell me what apps I need for streaming on smartphone and also in the manual it mentioned an app for karaoke.
Super helpful video! I set up mine with my MacBook PRO and tried using Garageband and Adobe Audition, but the Maonocaster effects are NOT coming over to the recording app. Any idea what's up with that? It's only capturing the mic.
Hi.. when I use a seperate mic to sing while using hands free why the mic sound not loud ?
when I try to record, the blue turns to red in garageband but no soundwaves show and the recording is not very loud
I don't have the Maono options when i go into garage band
are you able to plug in a line input like an electric guitar?

That's a good question. I've never tried, but I wonder if it would be possible by creating an "aggregate device" on your pc or mac
Great video, but when I play music or sing karaoke, it only record my voice, the music plays at very low!

My imac doesn't detect it... but my windows laptop does... what do you think could be happening?
Sorry to hear you are having this problem. I have had this problem with my mac before with different devices. Have you tried turning off your computer, then plugging in the Maonocaster, then turning on your computer and then once it is booted up, turning on the Maonocaster? This usually works for me when a device isn't being detected
Hey this was a great video! I am struggling with the microphone actually picking up sound. I did your steps but when I hit record it doesn't record anything. Do I need to do something different? I have a macbook air.
Hi, sorry to hear that! when you speak into the microphone are you able to hear it in your headphones?
Yes! I see the mic volume go up and down on the board and I also hear my voice in my headphones. @@techwithtobias
I have everything hooked up exactly as you described into GarageBand but for some reason my microphone isn’t recording or even picking up sound, do you know how to solve this?
I had the same issue and it seemed to resolve the next day when the mic indicated it was fully charged also you have to turn the volume way up past 1/2 to hear anything.

@@thomasreader60 If you're not inputting anything via the the phone then no. The mic could possibly be defective. My volume is still too low despite everything... I'm thinking that could be the main reason.

The computer shows the device as a mic but no audio is going through.

Same thing is happening to me, my computer recognizes the device as a mic but doesn't record any audio. Let me know if you fixed the problem have been trying to fix it for a while now.
If u dont use an iphone/mac???? I have this mini podcast set but noone on YT hasa set up for non apple users
I'm not super familiar with PCs, but maybe I can try to help you. Are you using Windows? and is your PC detecting the Maonocaster?
