Andrew. As I type this I’m getting H&R lowering springs installed on my 997.1 turbo! I’m very much against wheel gap. Congrats on getting this done.
Awesome man! Let me know your thoughts once you get them on and/or have some drive time with them
Looks like I'll be going with the TechArt springs. Thanks!
Awesome. Glad this was helpful! Let me know how you like them.
Looks great. Not too slammed, just right.
Thanks Lee!
Just put some custom wheels on my 991 and I noticed right away that the car needs to go down a bit. Was thinking of the Tech Art springs, and this pretty much convinced me. Thanks!
Awesome! Glad to hear the video was helpful. Thank you for watching!
Looks good. I'll likely go with Eibach.
Can't wait to see your impression of the DSC controller.
Thanks. Stay tuned!
EIBACH makes TechArt Springs just not as compressed giving TechArt a smoother ride and not so aggressively low, relatively.
I have the same car. Can I just buy springs and lower it or is there a issue with pasm? Love the videos they have been inspirational 👍🏻
Thank you! I really appreciate you watching the channel. You can just buy the springs and lower it. No issues with PASM that I found.
Looks great do you have PPF on that protect that shiny paint job I have it on mine and I love it a self healing kind it’s clear as a bell you can’t even hardly tell it’s on there
Not yet. The front needs to be repainted. Previous owner had a lot of rock chips. Once I do that, PPF will go on.
Any plans to fix the dents on the rear fenders? Every time I saw them, it hurt! Thanks for sharing your experience with the springs.
Ha. Good eye. Yes they need to be sorted. Tough to get hold of a PDR guy these days. They’re all so busy.
Looks great. How difficult is this procedure on the 993?
Thanks! Not sure. My 993 came with an aftermarket suspension so I didn’t have to do mine
*Rear spring perch
yes, thanks!
Andrew, what are your thoughts on pairing H & R lowering springs with Bilstein B6 shocks?
That would be a good combo I think. The H&R springs are a little more aggressive in terms of lowering the car more. But, they also ride a little more harsh and stiff.
@@nineelevensouth thank you. I was thinking that I’d made a mistake by not going with the Bilstein B8’s, which seem to be specifically for pairing with lowering springs.
@@smiconsulting8434 that specific thing I can’t really speak to. Don’t have direct experience as I paired my tech art springs with the stock PASM suspension. You may want to reach out to Bilstein to ask them
@@nineelevensouth Thank you Andrew! I also have PASM and feel better that the B6 is from bilstein might be a good match, but I think it’s also a good idea to reach out directly to Bill Steen as you suggested. Thanks again and have a great day!
@@smiconsulting8434 sure thing! Really appreciate you following the channel.

How much was the whole procedure ?
About $700 for the springs and about $700 for the install
@@nineelevensouth Great, thank you for letting me know . Just getting my wheels and callipers refinished and looking to lower it .
@@NDH2013 of course! thanks for following the channel
@nineelevensouth Was the total cost of the install (700 out the door) a discounted price for the install? And did it include an alignment?
@@Talleyoram Total for the springs and labor was about $1500
*goes the buy springs* 🤦🏼♂️
Doooo it!
@@nineelevensouth goes TO BUY springs! hows it ride?
@@mattlamarsh Quite well, I think. Coming from the 993 that was lowered to RS height, I already have a tolerance for a harsh ride. This is MUCH better but still firm. That said, once I add the DSC controller is should be buttery smooth in the City and responsive, tight, and dynamic in the Mountains.
