- Made the switch from air-cooled back to water!! Follow along on my journey as I sell my air-cooled Porsche 911 in order to purchase a new water-cooled 911 for my take on a performance build. The fifth episode of my series takes you along for an overview on why I chose the Techart AeroKit for the 991.

@@nineelevensouth I have a 2013 911 S and I’m contemplating either keeping it and doing some really cool aesthetic mods or getting a 991.2 turbo S. Obviously the turbo S is better but it comes at a cost.
@@BeauKnowsMultifamily Well hopefully my build series is helpful to see what you CAN do with a 991.1 Carrera S. Yes, the 991.2 is cool, faster, more tech, etc. but you lose the naturally aspirated engine sound which to me is the essence of Porsche in many ways. I have an upcoming video you will like - with a 991.1 vs 991.2 true ownership experience comparison. Working on the filming as we speak so stay tuned for that!
@@nineelevensouth awesome
Nice pic of your car at the 0:34 mark. I'm looking forward to seeing your next episode to compare old vs new.
Thanks. A little sneak peek 😉
How were you able to verify before purchase that the Spoiler from Ebay was TechArt OEM? Any tips for identifying fakes?
Had the seller shoot me photos of the markings from techart on the item. Always recommend that step
No rear diffuser?
No diffuser. I did a 991.2 rear bumper retrofit instead to punch up the back end. I’ll have an episode on how to do that coming soon so subscribe and stay tuned!
@@nineelevensouth nice! I went with the low key teacart diffuser and didn't even paint it. it's subtle but makes the stock ones that park near me look like they're missing something:)
Would the money you are spending on mods plus the cost of the base car not get close to the cost of a 991 GT3 at this point now?
Good question, but def not. All in on the build, I'll still be at least $50-60k less than a 991 GT3.
