    Congrats! Definitely my favorite kit for the 991.1
    I'm shopping for a 911 now and plan to do this install on it. Haven't found an affordable wheel I like so will probably bite the bullet on the TechArt wheels as well. Pure motivation! Thanks for sharing!

      @@BJP719 theoretically yes. But it’s a little bit more art than science to get it perfect so I would still recommend professional install in my opinion.

    What a difference after install!!!...... I just received my Techar Rear Spoiler II today for my 2016 991.1 Black edition. I planned to install myself. Directions are pretty weak. 1.) From your video I assume you relocated the old rear spoiler "center tail" light to the new Spoiler II, correct? 2.) It looked like you removed the old rear wing elevate motor assembly prior to installing the rear Spoiler II. 3.) Do you have to remove the rear bumper cover to complete the install? Thanks, now I have to seriously look at the front and side skirt purchase. You ride is sweet. Thanks for posting!

      Awesome! Thanks for watching the channel and I appreciate the compliments. Answers to your questions are 1) correct 2) correct, this part was the most complicated of the install 3) no

    Love the install! Does the wing still lift using the factory motor? Or does this wing delete the option?

    • @nineelevensouth
      @nineelevensouth  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! The Techart wing is a fixed wing so it's always up. You have to use a PIWIS software tool to go into the ECU settings and change the rear wing to "fixed" so that you don't get a warning at 78+ MPH about the spoiler not deploying

      @@nineelevensouth thanks for the quick response. it was done at the dealer but I did not get to drive 75MPH to try it before driving it home. Noe it’s a hassle going back to them. Did the 3rd tail light fit in flush? Mine is slightly off on the right edge.
      From what you hear do you need a front lower spoiler to help keeping the car on the ground at higher speed? I am sure I am not using the right terminology. Does keeping the sunroof effect the handling? Lastly did your MpG change? Cheers.

    • @nineelevensouth
      @nineelevensouth  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ammarmalik0007 It did not fit flush to start. My body shop had to do a little trimming inside the opening to make it flush. I don't think the front spoiler is a "must have" for the rear to provide benefit, but obviously it doesn't hurt. Not sure on the sunroof, I almost never open it. Don't really watch MPG that closely so I couldn't tell you that.

    My OCD would not go well with the front lip how it aligns in the wheel arch. Basically too long and sticks in the wheel arch. Don’t want to nag but sideskirt also looks too long. In the back it kinda covers the wheel arch. 🤔

    • @nineelevensouth
      @nineelevensouth  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Appreciate your comment and for watching! I hear you but that's how this kit (and really any aftermarket aero kit) are made. They all have that look. It doesn't bother me, looks great in person, and I've never had anyone even mention that before. Only other option would be to install an entirely new bumper for another $3k or so painted and installed, but I'd prefer to have that money for the rest of the build given that this is a minor detail, lol.

    Color grading is super aggressive. Blacks looked crushed in may shots. Speaking of shots, it would be nice to see more steady and longer shots of the car. That’s why we’re here watching.
