      Matheus Cruz hi mate for me it’s been about 5 months, I’m keen on training and so I have done whatever I could throughout. Walking at first, then cycling for a couple of month. Then back to doing whatever resistance training I could do. Currently still not able to do back squats or deadlifts. The recover can be extremely slow, feels so slow that you don’t realise that you are in fact recovering until you look back to where you were each month or so. As soon as you can do mobility and stability excercises do them little and often. You will get there just do what you can each day and remember it could take up to a year or longer to get back to 100% if we ever do get back to 100% it’s just something we will have to except and learn to excel in other aspects of life. All the best mate

      Took a hockey stick to the face and fractured my orbital bone, got a concussion and damaged my eye to the point of developing a rare eye condition they call anisocoria. It was the most pain I had ever been in until I dislocated my shoulder. They put me on fentanyl to reset it. It has been a little over two weeks and I am fine throughout the day but sleeping is very uncomfortable. I am a fairly deep sleeper, but I find myself waking up in pain 2-3 times a night.

    Hi Bob and Brad, I am a 30 year old man and I dislocated my shoulder when I was 23. I never got surgery and did minimal rehab. I have dislocated it many times since then, with the last one being in 2017. The last time it happened I had an uneducated body worker work on it and I told him I was nervous about it popping out and he told me to relax and that it would be fine and he proceeded to dislocate it twice in a row and I was screaming my head off. That's when I decided I would limit my movements so it could never happen again. I am very into yoga right now and I would like to strengthen my shoulder now and this video seems good for my needs. Would you still recommend surgery for someone who has waited this long? My shoulder still spooks me when I go to make the "throwing motion". Thanks a lot! -Jeff

    Wow. I have dislocated my shoulder 6 times now, 4 on my left and 2 on my right. The rotator cuff on my right arm is apperantly torn and the ball of both of my shoulders have dents in them and to top it all off I am overly flexible (tested by physiotherapists) The most recent time my left shoulder sunk into my armpit quite a ways down to where I could slightly see it buldge from my armpit. At that point would trying to strengthen my rotator cuffs just do more harm than good and just get surgery or do I try to rebuild the cuffs. Great video by the way, I learnt alot more about my situation and ways to help with it.

My face and shoulder got pinned under the frame with my arm across my face (luckily or I'd have a pretty cool scar) got stitches but nobody noticed anything with my shoulder. (No pain but I didn't notice it didn't work right, figured I just had some mashed muscles). I got home and then the pain started and it felt like my shoulder just dropped all the sudden. Put it in a sling and ab 4 days later it seemed to pop back in by itself when I bent over and let it hang while doing house work. 2 weeks later it felt better but I started lifting weights and it's feeling slack again on the top and outside of the shoulder. Still have full range but going out hurts. I'm 21. So what do I do? Doctors haven't found anything either.

    Sir, my shoulder hummers was dislocated and top of hummer broken for five years ago. That time i went to doctor who fixed plaster on it. Afterword the broken pieces were fixed with upper bone. 5,6 days before i went to local doctor who pulled it and after some days i got xray which shown that the hummer is down from the place because the broken pieces are not leaving it into the actual place. Sir plz advice what i do

    I dislocated my shoulder with a fall. I was told my rotator cuff is gone and Deltoid muscle is stretched so surgery option right now. If I can build up strength in Deltoid muscle the maybe surgery and joint surgery possible. I can't raise arm and in my 70's. Can't find exercises to build the Deltoid muscle. Any suggestions?

    I had multiple traumatic left anterior shoulder dislocations in my teens. Had to have the Open Bankart repair On the front side with ortho scopic work on the back of the shoulder, titanium screws all over the place. Like most teenagers I was dumb and didn’t take physical therapy advice seriously, outcome was an extremely stable shoulder joint with highly sacrificed range of motion even 20 years later. The surgery will make sure the shoulder never comes out again, but you have to do the physical therapy homework like these doctors are showing if you want your shoulder to look normal and be useful for sports or weightlifting afterwards

      @@isaac1590 it’s a b*tch in my experience. Have it done during a time when you don’t have to worry about school or playing sports. It’s a part time job for several months to complete physical therapy properly. The day of the surgery was horrible as well. However, this is much better than going through the rest of life with a useless arm.

    Gonna put my situation out there hopefully I can get some advice. I dislocated my shoulder in 2017 and had dislocated my shoulder about 3 times from to early 2018. I got surgery in march of 2018 at 19 years old and I was good up until January 2021. It dislocated on a no contact injury and I rehabbed it with no surgery and I was good up until this past December when it dislocated again after it felt its strongest. I am 25 now and is it worth it to rehab it on my own or get another surgery?

    After having a rotator cup injury for 2 and a 1/2 months nothing was happening with puttering around with these half fast exercises i've seen on TH-cam until I I found an exercise that is stretching through the doorway and it was only by me applying and allowing a lot of pain that I started to get relief I am now getting a lot of relief but I had and have to go through a lot of pain to get any relief . So from my experience of 2 and 1 half months l found that the old fearful saying l used to hear came into play. NO PAIN NO GAIN... lt is the painful truth for me.

    What if I have a chronic ease towards dislocation in my right shoulder for years but I've never had any sharp pain? I rarely (1 time every 1.5/2 years) feel it slip out of socket for a second during exercise and then have it go right back in by itself. It is usually accompanied by some vague feeling of instability for 2/3 days and then I'm back to normal. I can over head press 70kg with a full lock out, feels like the most I train for stability and the more mass/strength I pack on my shoulders it's getting way better. Do I need to consider surgery?

    I've just dislocated my shoulder for the third time in about 30 years. The first time, I had my arm in a sling for six weeks. Now that I'm in my sixties, I'm glad that they only want me to use one for a fraction of that time. I've been going to a senior's exercise class since the beginning of the year. I'm wondering how long it will be until I can safely start going again, as long as I'm careful during the weight training and stretching.

      I put my shoulder out again a couple of weeks ago. I think this was a subluxation, as I was able to pop it back in myself. At least I'm getting more creative with my dislocations. I put it out this time swinging a rake at a raccoon that was trying to attack my dog. I was home alone and the raccoon situation still needed to be dealt with, which is why I decided to deal with the shoulder myself. I've been discussing surgery with my doctor, as this floppy shoulder is getting to be annoying. Thanks for the exercise advice.

    Hey guys, so I’ve had a reoccurring dislocated shoulder since I was 18. I’m 35 now and I’ve learned to keep it from dislocating by not doing certain activities. Now that I’m older tho, I still have shoulder subluxation and every now and then feel the sharp pain. Do you think surgery is needed or do you think these exercises would help me be able to throwing a ball and gets more active again?

    I dislocated my left shoulder (inferior with un-displaced fracture of tuberosity) ten days ago. I am 56 and I can tell you that there is no way I could do without the sling. I have zero external rotation and it hurts like a bitch when I do a pendulum exercise - physio says no point in coming within four weeks on injury and referring family doc says keep sling for several more weeks.
    The injury wasn’t as painful as I expected, I was shocky at first and then stronger and stronger cramp/stiffness (I had a one hour boat ride back to shore followed by half hour drive to hospital but man, enthanox followed by penthrox inhaler and I felt nothing but stretching when they reduced the shoulder. The relief was immediate and incredible - before, I could almost not walk and afterwards, I could immediately stand up straight and walk without pain.

    • @MattPierceUSA
      @MattPierceUSA 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Did you recover fully? I had a mountain bike crash 2 weeks ago. A friend popped my shoulder back in right away. No break on x-ray but an MRI showed minimally impacted greater tuberosity fracture. Inferior dislocation suspected. I haven’t used the sling but the orthopedic surgeon basically wants me to just keep it immobile for a month. Ugh…sure seems like that is way too conservative since I have full range of motion and I can actually lift my arm vertically on its own. I stopped doing that following his advice though.
