i have that same blue Talwar , i stroked it on a ceramic rod for sooo long if you swing it through the air , you can hear the atoms scream as they are sliced in half !

For anyone who's interested, right now Amazon is selling the CS Magnum Tanto XII in San Mai for $190. One of the knives I picked up a few days ago was a Voyager XL tanto. That's my second one. The first one I gave to a friend some years ago. She's a lady in her 70's who lives alone and sometimes she feels afraid. When she saw that big Voyager she fell in love with it. Now she carries it every place she goes. It makes her feel safe.

Hi Mr Slash . my first cold steel was plagued with QC issues and I have had quite a few since that have as well , just like most big mass production company BUT I'm glad I gave them another chance because I now own 23 Cold Steel tools and knives , I love them all and yes a few do have QC issues but there design of them I love . If money was no issue I would buy many many more. Thanks
I've had my issues with them, but the large majority were great.

Excellent video! Agree 100% on the Colossus as it is one of my favorite knives and it was for a steal on Woot last year. The Rajah II is one CS I never pulled the trigger on, but will still buy at some point!

Spartan was another surprise to me. Got it on a whim, and MAN! Feels so good in hand, and again, shockingly slicey.

How do you like the snaggletooth, and the snaggletooth ring? I'm am considering both for my Recon 1, but haven't seen much info on them.
If you want a wave out of the pocket, it works great. The ring is big enough for my fingers and helps with the pull.

Sometimes I like to see come back into production..Talewar ..Schimitar ..the DESPERADO with the VANQUERO fixed blade .. and rubber egg-shaped handle ..THE PARAEDGE ..serrated 3 in fixed blade .. or perhaps a 3-in ready edge...
AD10 came today. Now it sits next to Tai Pan, Outdoorman and 6” Master Tanto all San Mai and the Trailmaster in O1.
That's a good set of blades. Very nice.
I wish I would have bought more I was into them he is back I had a couple of fixed blades from Cold Steel I bought a couple of things from them but it seems like all the ones I had either gave away or lost anyway it's good information I know that they're changing hands

I just got myself a Kris Ti-Lite and Voyager XL and a Rajah 2 like three weeks ago and I love both of em just for the size and look of the two...

That's one serious collection of Cold Steel folders. Their mega folders got me into collecting knives (Spartan, Raja 2, large Espada, 6 inch Ti Lite). I'm more into fixed blades these days and have to many Cold Steel varieties to list. Love their Tomahawks too. I hope their quality and price point stay the same.
Recon Large got me hooked. It was a Craig's List buy. I wa done.
Just ordered an Espada XL. Would love to get one of those colossus’, as well as an American lawman, Spartan, AD-15, and any model with a wavy blade (can’t remember the name, kriss maybe). Also been looking at the talon and 4-MAX scout.

You're absolutely right about the Colossus, on several counts. I was not particularly interested in the knife - I was one who thought it was a funny-looking thing. Then I won one on a giveaway on a certain channel, and discovered that it was light, thin, and supremely slicey! Still the best thing I've ever won, Josh. Thank you. Only problem, it's discontinued, and pretty hard to find, I think.

A knife I've heard very little about but personally adore is the Luzon. It's one of the cheaper-ish ones, but sturdy as a dang rock and much prettier in person then in pictures.
Own the large myself, and I was downright blown away by how much better it was then I expected at such a low price point.
It's on the menu. I love the Luzons.
Cold Steel Espada XL I've wanted this knife for a long time. The bushman is a big knife to.
There are some decent prices on the XL right now.
Glad I have the original Outdoorsman with VG10 Steel made in Japan. Also love my AD10!

From the input that I'm hearing out there I think the Spartan is one of the most popular Cold steel knives recently... I went for a Rajah 3-1/2 in serrated .. looks and cuts much bigger than a three and a half inch bladed knife
my pajama carry is a bird and game knife with a custom kydex sheath i got off ebay. love that thing. also have the lawman in XHP sad to hear this news

At least one XL pick your flavor, personally the Recon is all around well rounded. Personal guess is the odd shapes like the spartan and vaqueros will be kept because theyre the only one making them in the line up. I do think theyll pull some of the more tactical models like the black talon though.
The Recon would be a cool choice. Or the Talwar. I hope they don't narrow it down like that.

got a question..I'm planning on getting the Ken Onion edition of the Work Sharp and want to sharpen the false edge on some of my knives...is it worth getting the grinder attachment or not??
I know very little about the Work Sharp. There are some folks in the Facebook group that might help.

@@mohammedcohen There are some nice beginner type sharpeners. The Spyderco Sharpmaker is one. Very easy to use. And effective.
I bought the 2 I’ve always been on the fence about getting and they are the Espada (the biggest one) and the Rajah 2. I got them after learning Cold Steel has been sold. If they discontinue them or the quality of them goes down I will have the good ones.

@@Jimislash The Espada I got is the same one you showed in your video. I got that one over the prettier one because it was a lot cheaper and the handle material is more practical for carrying. I’ve been carrying a Cold Steel Counterpoint XL for a defense blade but this Espada man might retire that Counterpoint hahaha. This blade is so badass!

I would grab any of the Cold Steel Chaos series knives. Dagger, tanto, kukri, bowie, or stiletto. They are kind of hard to find but all under $100.

The 4" clip point Voyager is 1 of my favorite knives and it's probably CS's most Underrated Blade , at around $50 its practically UNBEATABLE , it's a Fantastic do everything knife , the AUS-10 a great working steel , and if you've never had a CS knife , the Voyager is a Great GateWay Knife. I'm definitely getting another one of the 4" and XL models before there gone .....👍👍👌👌🖖🖖👍👍

What's your opinion on the Fully serrated Maurder.. I've been thinking about getting a Serrated Blade that's not a Folding Blade .. I know serrated knives have their Good and bad qualities and limitations. But they can be extremely useful as well and don't need to be sharpened as often. ..

I've been watching the cold steel 4max scout on amazon, and it went from having like 20 in stock to 10 today. I found one that was opened never used made a offer got it for $80 on ebay. Score finally pulled the trigger couldn't pass up that deal. Now I'm onto getting another pocket bushman. That voyager though. Hopefully the quality doesn't go down. Trying not to panic😬😬😬. I really hope that GSM stays true to the brand, but just in case I picked up a few more to add to the collection.
I just rewatched your review and test vid on the Crawford Model 1, I've had mine now for 11 months and it's an awesome knife. It's one of my work knives and gets a thrashing, yet is still going strong and it holds that edge better than a lot of my expensive, high quality steel blades. Picked up 2 today on sale for around $25 each.
Also got a Voyager XL Tanto to go with my XL Clip point.
Also got the SR1 Lite to go with my SR1 and then a Luzon Medium to compliment my Luzon Large. My wife likes the Luzon Medium and promptly took it off me, so I need to get 1 more 😁
I might also get another Recon 1 cause I like it so much and want one as a replacement in 10 or 12 years when mine breaks eventually.
I have to agree about the Colossus. It's such a versatile, do anything knife. I use mine and my SR1 as my bushcraft folders.
I should also probably get the AD15 to go with th AD10 in my collection
