Cold Steel was my first big boy knife. A Voyager tanto in the mid 80's! Also love my American Lawman in XHP!
We have fond memories of all the 80's Cold Steels....and most of what we can remember about the 80's really lol
My all time favs are the AD10, American Lawman, Broken Skull, Trench Hawk and Hudson Bay Axe! The Code 4 and Recon 1 are my honorable mentions….

But ONLY 5 ???? I can't do it. I would HAVE to include the Frontier Bowie and the 4MAX in a "Top" list. Hats off and a nod, TC.
That is often the biggest problem of getting the list down to a manageable size. Awesome choices with the FB and 4Max👍

I was late getting to Cold Steel , but you would not know that by my collection other then the steel type mine has.
But being late to the game has not effected my SC volume of collection but I still have a long way to go. ⚔️💥⚔️

Cold steel is my favorite brand but lately my new knives from them have had uneven edge grinds never happened with my old cold steels.

Cold steel wouldn't be such an icon with out Andrew Demko and his amazing locking mechanisms and designs!!!!!!!!! The tri-ad lock made cold steel!! Yes Lynn Thompson made the best knife videos ...no doubt. But in my opinion cold steel wouldn't have survived without Demko!!! Just saying Andrew demko left to start his own business then Lynn sold cold steel...

Sorry, but, any list without the Recon 1 talking about greatest Cold Steel knives needs not be taken seriously. It is wrong. Don't care where it's at or what else you decide to put on the table, because there are soooooo very many that could be on it and I won't argue. But just for what it has done for the company... How many of our first Cold Steel knives were Recon 1s? Or introduced us to the brand because of a buddy's? And it is for good reason. I have always called mine my folding fixed blade because it is the closest thing to it. Especially now with the Triad locks.
The Recon series is awesome from the mini and up!
Always remember; a falling knife has no handle.
