    the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.

    I'm not a white _grey person but I love the floor tile and especially the sink, it all looks fantastic . Reminds me of being at the cape(cape cod).

    Great job! You are very talented and the grey is gorgeous! Not keen on the shower curtain. Just paint the shower trim a nice oiled bronze. I can't wait to watch the indepth vids on building the vanity, walls, etc.

    I wasn't to sure about mixing the metal colors but it turned out great! You had other accents to match the metal colors so it actually worked! Great job! Love the tile floor you chose, I think it'll be timeless!

    You can also paint the shower to black to tie in with the mirror and won’t look closed out

    OMGG I really like the outcome of your bathroom !! Definitely a huge upgrade, altought I'm not a 100% sold on the shower curtain. Since it's not going to get wet, I think you could have use a prettier one. Maybe in a more natural fabric like a white washed linen or something. I think it would look more high end, since you could iron it and not have wrinkled like the one you currently have 😊

    it looks way more modern! i love it! i think instead of the shower rod i would have painted the silver shower frame like a black or brass so that way it keeps room looking a little bigger. but it looks so clean and fresh with all the changes you’ve made 😍

    Spray painting the chrome black and replacing the shower hardware black would make the shower look updated you can re finish the tile bright white with a kit from a hardware store ( they work great.

    Use LED bulbs for brighter lights if there isn't a window in the room. Would've helped you chose a gorgeous green color bc those were beautiful options. And overall for a brighter look in any room.

      @@mybestideas1 materials are very inflated right now, plywood alone is going for $40+ a board. Depending on the quality of paint they bought they could have spent $300 alone on a paint, primer and good brushes.

    What about spray painting the chrome matte black? I too have that ugly shower cage. Actually the end look turned out great. Unfortunately, I have a Tub next to mine so those rods wouldn't work in my space :(

      You could, I usually try to avoid spray painting indoors though but another product may work as well!

    As for the vanity- you could have used an antique dresser or checked on FB Market Place or Craig’s List for a used one.

    I didn’t know you could tile over tile. What does being on the ground floor mean in terms of being able to tile over tile? I’m in a 2nd floor condo and I hate the tile (Tuscan) that came with this place. It looks dirty and feels gritty. I really have no idea how to remove tile, so I was excited to see that tiling over tile was possible. But should I not do this because I have a unit below me, for some reason? Thanks

      Thanks! Yes it would have been a labor intensive process and the cost to replace it even with DIY would have put us over budget so we decided to keep it. We don't use this shower much either so we didn't want to put the money into redoing it!

    How did the transition piece come out? Do you notice the height increase in the doorway and did you angle the transition piece?

      The transition turned out really good, there is a slight difference but it is not noticeable. We also used an angled transition from wood to tile that helps.

    Such an improvement. I just worry the shiplap/brass/wicker will also be seen as dated and and trendy in 5 years.

      Just make sure you're adding it because you love it and not just to follow the trend and you won't have any regrets! And if you do end up with regrets a few years down the line...you can always change it! As long as you love it, that is all that matters! :)

      The top half of the walls, ceiling and crown molding is Alabaster by Sherwin Williams in eggshell and the vertical ship lap and bottom trim is Mindful Gray by Sherwin Williams in eggshell.

    It’s so strange, we renovated our bathroom on 2016 and we used alabaster on the trim and mindful grey on the beadboard.
