Now you are just taunting me😂😂😂😂. I made your tree three times because my daughters “stole” the first two, I even made your skinny bench a few times, which I love, but I’m no spring chicken so a total bathroom renovation is out of the question🤪. All I can say is wow…you did an amazing job, and what a beautiful transformation. That just increased the value of your home👍🥰.
Oh my goodness, that is so funny!! 😂 You are the DIY tree expert at this point, haha You should do your own video about it, you have more experience than me at this point. I hope the skinny benches turned out well. Thank you for your support, I really appreciate you watching! ☺️
Love this transformation. Truly beautiful on a budget. I love learning new pain techniques since replacing cabinets can be very expensive. A new coat of paint can give cabinets many more years of life. I’d suggest just buying new faucets. Changing our small, bathroom, faucets is cheap and easy to do yourself. You’re spending almost as much on spray paint and brushes.
I used that counter product in my mother's kitchen pre-covid and it's still holding up!! Her kitchen gets some serious use! Also used it in a rental property. It's much easier to use than some other products.
That's great to hear! It seems very durable and as I said after talking to Sarah (the blogger) and hearing her tell me how it's held up, I wasn't worried on that front. I also found it pretty easy to do which was great!
Wow Best Bathroom on a budget I’ve seen… Great explanation on the DIY’s. 🙌🏻 It turned out beautifully. Thank you for sharing! Gave me much needed inspiration to tackle my small upstairs bathroom.
Thanks so much! 😊 I hope your refresh turns out great! Will you perhaps be redoing cabinets and counters or just decor? I am also working on our guest bathroom and I have a lovely new shower curtain rod I need to install and a new extra long curtain on the way. I can't wait to get them up. 😌
WOW!! What a tremendous difference! It's amazing you pulled that off by just changing the finishes on everything - no replacements, other than decor. Great job!! ❤
Thanks so much! Our cabinets in the kitchen are the same as the bathrooms were, and I can't wait to show you guys the difference in the kitchen once the cabinets and countertops are done 😍
How wonderful to transform your space this way. I’m always so in awe of taking, to me, huge risks with something like the countertops and they always turn out great ❤ You did a beautiful job marrying the dated tub with your new aesthetic 💕
Wow it all turned out beautiful. We used a product like that on our tile & tub but we bought a new counter & sink combo. But now I see how awesome your counter came out I may do my son’s counter instead of buying a new one which gets expensive. Great job
Thank you! It's a great product and you can definitely sand it to a smoother finish than I did, but I kind of like the orange peel texture on it. It just feels good under the hand so I decided to stop there. I like the organic kind of feel of it. It was fun to do! And I have used a tile and tub product on my utility sink in the laundry room with great results as well as the whole backsplash in our kitchen, which was originally when we moved in a brown and tan checkered pattern. And the worst part was the backsplash continues all the way up to the ceiling throughout the kitchen. Paired with dark brown cabinets and orangey brown speckled granite... Oh boy. I couldn't live with it so I immediately painted the backsplash tile white. 😋
Thank you! 😊 I'm glad it turned out okay! I practiced the paint technique on a scrap first but was a little nervous about the counter to be honest. However, it was so easy and came out good! I'm glad I went for it.
I am in the end part of my similar bathroom makeover. Same 90’s bathroom. I did take on the plumbing part with my husband and boy was that challenging!! The faucets hadn’t been replaced for 25 years when we built the house. I painted my cabinets too and I just love the difference. I didn’t take on the challenge of the counters but I think they match the new cabinet color. Thanks you for sharing.
Great! My husband was saying that due to some dripping that he can't get to stop he is probably going to go ahead and replace the faucets at some point soon. He didn't say that until I had already painted them... 😅 But these will be great in the meantime!
@@TashaatHome Just a little tip about buying faucets. We bought some on Amazon and the parts are all plastic and now the water has a horrible taste to it and I can't get it to go away. I keep running the faucet (that is what I read when I googled it).Look for metal parts.
We’ve been planning to use that countertop kit in our kitchen on the laminate countertops we currently have. Seeing this transformation made me even more excited to do it.
Fantastic job Tasha!! What a transformation!! The cabinets blend in so good with the tile around the bath area. Your counter turned out wonderful!! Just goes to show that we can still have a beautiful home on a budget. You did it the smart way!! Well done!!! 👍👍👍
Hi Tasha..Well if I was amazed at you before, I am super amazed at how you updated your bathroom. I wondered if your husband ever questions you when ypu start a project that big. I dont know if you watched a video or how you figured exactly what brush to use and even a whisk broom. Tasha, you should always be so proud of yourself. I change our house all the time by switching out decor, or making pillows, but never have I done a project like that. Who knows maybe you have given me the courage to try. I am doing a Tasha like redo in our spare bedroom. I have had bright colors in there, but I am getting ready to do a more monochromatic look with neutrals and adding a really pretty rug with some turquoise that I got for a great price at Big Lots. ( it' the style like your bathroom rug..muted ) The decor, pictures etc will be thrifted finds. Thanks Tasha...always so good to "see" and your amazing redos.
I let my husband know what I am planning to do and he usually doesn't mind. If I need help, he helps, but if I can do it alone I like to just go for it while he's at work. If you already dislike what's there, to me there isn't too much risk. I guess it can get worse but usually things turn out pretty good if you do your research first. I saw several blogs/videos that showed this technique (it is not my original idea for sure) and tried it out first on a scrap wood and then went for it when I saw that it worked well and was easy to replicate. I may tackle the tub and shower at some point before long too. If nothing else I could use a tub & tile kit to make it solid white or off white--I know those work well because I have used one on our utility sink plus the backsplash tile in our kitchen, which was checkered brown when we moved in--and not in the trendy way--very ugly! But I don't know that I want that much white, and also the tub/shower in there don't bother me much so I'm not in a rush. Your guest room makeover sounds great! I actually do like lots of color but I have discovered I like it more in pictures than in my own house where I spend so much time. I like it to be calmer and more relaxed feeling. But I do love color and wear bright colors a lot! Thank you for watching as always, my friend :)
I love your effortless style and this diy - it looks new and bright and well put together. Thank you for the step by step instructions, if I ever renovate a bathroom I’ll look back to this video to copy what you’ve done
Thanks! Yes it's pretty cool! You should check out the blog post that I initially looked at where she used it in her kitchen. It's very informative and shows really good pictures. It's linked in the description box ☺️
Ong! I had the same exact bathroom and did similar updates a few years ago. Your updates turned out great! I had a plumber replace my faucets but wish I had tried your technique first to save some money. I painted my cabinets navy blue which toned down the peachy color look of the counters and made them look more of a neutral beige color.
Really beautiful makeover, Tasha! I do hope you are proud of yourself. ❤ My master bath has oak cabinets and oak floors, it's killing me! I'm too busy working on the rest of the things. Awesome inspo with the SW color! Thank you for taking the time and sharing the updates.

Huge transformation within a small budget. It looks high end, fresh, as well as stylish. Absolutely gorgeous ♥️

I think we will because one is leaking and won't stop despite a fix. But I wanted to show how it can be done with zero renovations 🤗
