i also have a b58, ur revving it wrong to hear it come on boost you need to let the RPMs drop all the way till Idle and then click the pedal into the floor and let off at your preferred timing. I even do this an echo and it builds boost crazy

The “sheeesh” as you walk around the car (possibly for the first time?) was a perfect response to how it sounds in the wild. If it sounds good enough love to get that reaction from you, I imagine that it is for sure even better in person.
If you want a very pronounced intake sound, go for Agency Power. Fitting it a year ago and love the sound. Heat soak is not an issue, at least not in the UK
for the induction sound to be heard when the car is parked, the car must be in first gear, there is no aspiration in neutral, at least this is the case in my manual! as always a very entertaining video, greetings from Spain! ✌🏻
I wish MST also offered an inlet upgrade (the part after the part you've installed that connects to the turbo). Because that plastic stock piece has a built-in resonator that muffles the intake sound a bit. It's the only reason why I went with the BMS elite instead of the MST. But the MST looks way better and I think prevents heat soak better

What exhaust system are you running ? I'm looking for a cat back system for a 2010 BMW 335i X-Drive M-Sport and there are so many options out there. I want it sound nice but not too crazy. I don't need to be talking to the Cops everyday over exhaust noise.

I have a FBO N55 w/ stage 3 turbo - I went from stock intake w/ high flow filter and stock DV to a BMS intake and a GFB DV+ and my car actually got much quieter - no turbo leaks. The intake didn't sound any different, and the DV upgrade was much quieter (installed w/ sport config spring) on pressure release now, and no fluttering at all. I can tell it is venting more progressively though. Any ideas on why everyone's builds seem to get louder with intake + DV but mine didnt? I dont exactly want a super loud car but I was looking forward to at least some new sounds.

I actually have a dummy plug now and just gets annoying having it open all the time, and I know if I plug it in normally the flaps don't open in sport mode until 3500 rpms.. I'll see if I can find it with Bimmerlink. Thx buddy
Those stationary revs you were doing, there is a faint high pitch whine when the revs start going back down, do you also get them after a couple pulls and you staying in high rpm as you would for roll racing?
Do you feel any loss of low end torque? A lot of people mention that with intakes on their B58s. I am not sure if I also feel it or if I only think I do cuz people talk about it! I personally just installed the VR performance intake ( previously know as agency power) on my M240i and it sounds sweet! Vid on my channel for anyone curious about the install or sound.

MST has one with the turbo inlet on the G20 I’m not sure about the F30 though
U don’t ever need to replace the s52, if u ever need more power just throw a big turbo and it’ll make serious power

Definitely consider an intake pipe from ftp. Gets rid of the lower muffler in the airbox. Much more noises and better flow.
