Hey Everyone,
In today's video, we're installing a 340i MST Intake on Chris' car step by step. As you'll see and hear, not only does it look amazing, but it also sounds incredible and is one of the loudest intakes we've ever installed. Also, as noted on the screen, we recorded the audio from inside the engine bay, so it may appear louder in the video than from the cabin of the car.

Update: Got it! Sounds amazing and it’s pretty easy to install. Did it with my basic tool set. No issues. Definitely worth it.

On a side note, another loud intake is the Agency Power. I LOVE mine! Sounds great on my '16 340i, but it's nowhere as loud as the MST..... Would sound even better with spacers, though.

I have this on my M240i and its sounds absolutely awesome ! Outside and inside very very loud swoooshh noise !!! Thats the loudest intake ive ever had

Intake is mostly for sound.
I guess it really depends on personal preference. I just realized intake sound isn’t for me. I’d rather get better exhaust pops :) Great video!

I checked a few months ago with no luck but they do have one now. Might get one for my m40i. Priority for me is heat shield. Don't want a hot air intake haha.

So this does replace the entire intake to turbo piping. Then it is worth the price to me.
Man I installed an afe momentum on my f30 n20 and man it feels great, the car feels peppier and just feels great but I don’t hear anything. I like the afe intake and not really looking to spend on another one but I wish I had some noise. I thought it would be less noise but I don’t hear anything at all, guess I have to look into a diverter valve

Keys. And chance you have those gray clips on the connector that plugs into MAF sensor. Mine flew into the engine bay before watching how a video of yours and learning it must be pressed
How does it sound inside the car? In the bay is great but doesn’t help me very much to understand the driving experience.
I have one on my F30 328i and it sounds great from inside the car in comfort and awesome from inside the car in sport mode.

You can hear it in the car with the windows up but it's not super loud at all but you can hear it.. Now with the windows down is where the magic is. I love my mst intake.

Any future plans on having the n55 platform on the dyno?
Does upgrading the charge pipe give any benefits on stock turbo?
Does the MST intake have a turbo inlet upgrade available? This seems to only replace the top part of the intake.
This is why I went with BMW elite with upgraded inlet. The stock inlet also has a resonator which I wanted to delete for even more sound
Can you make a oil catch can that will work with this intake? To take care the PCV problem with the b58s

Hey thats a big myth. The way the B58 is Set up is to Not Need a catch can. You just Need to replace the Membrane if its Broken. If you install a catch can you only get a high Oil consumption. Dont put a catch can on a b58. Its of Course different with other Motors but Not with the b58. Sorry for my english, im German. Hope i could help you

yes its the same engine and engine bay, it will also probably sound even better on the m40 because of the more hp, and if you want to have the best sound you can get out of a b58, get an intake, blow off valve with charge pipe and full system exhaust with downpipe

I know I'm a little late with the reply but it is highly recommended to change your downpipe. That's pretty much the only mod you need for stage 1.

I think there’s a lot of other contributing factors man the size of your turbo how much boost you’re making how your tune is set up your charge pipe your downpipe I think they all kind of come in to play. Mine sounds like his, but all of the parts I mentioned have been upgraded I also have a Vargas GC turbo making 26psi
